This is great. You give the best narration I have even heard in a turning video.
I am a year late from you project, but I really enjoyed your help in teaching us new and exciting projects. Great job. Thank you.
Why am I just finding your channel now? I really like your work and to top it off you give some of the best instructions. I can see a lot of things I want to try
No words for your craftsmanship
Just awesome
❤❤❤❤❤newbie of 8 months.learning in free community..twice a week.. love it!!
Awesome box! I don't know if I'm brave enough yet to try something like this.
Looks like a project I'll have to try. Thanks for sharing! 👍🏾
Awesome I would love to see what you come up with
Excellent video, you do a wonderful job of narrating. I’m a retired machinist of 45 years and have done a lot of teaching. Anytime you can accurately
describe the process shows you have
applied yourself to learn your craft. Returning to wood work after all those years in the metal trades, I really enjoyed your video
Thank you. I always appreciate feedback on my presentation of the material. It is something that I am always working to improve.
Thanks for the step-by-step directions and hints.
Delicate work. The off center turning seems dangerous and I'm baffled the sticky tape worked. Maybe some day I'll get brave.
Nice scratch all. I hope to learn how to do this one day. Thank you for the instruction.
Awesome box Darryl! You can tell how good someone is at something by how easy they make it look. You are a true craftsman. 😎
Perfect length video. Enjoyed this edited content
Excellent demo and explainations of your processes
Well done! I will be watching all of your videos! You explain things in enough detail without over explaining! Your Clear and humble! I am Impressed! Great work and you are amazing! Thank You!!!
Thank you very much and welcome to the channel!
Nice box. I might have to give the off center thing a shot soon.
Darryl, I have seen your stuff on Instagram but the full video truly shows how much work goes into your pieces. The box is really nice. Well done!

Finally I get to see your process now that you’ve ironed out all the details. This came out great!
I just did a demo on turning a triangle box Thursday for my club. (Seacost Woodturners on youtube if you are interested). Wish I had seen this beforehand as there were some good tips I could have used. Maybe I will do an addendum. Thanks
Excellent video and commentary. Got yourself another sub Sir.
Best Wishes from Ireland,
Brendan.
That's one sharp looking little box. I think I'll be giving something like this a try. Enjoyed as always, Dave.

Great work Darryl, the way you did the inlays inspired me to make some brackets with inlays like that so they will be 2 tone bracelets.

Do you have a preferred brand of tape you use?
Ha where yr get the gold tools from?
scary and cool.
Following❤
Very nice box! is it too late for the give away? Ha!
What brand of cutting tools do you use??
Where do you get them??
I use primarily Robert Sorby tools. They can be purchased at most retailers where you find woodturning tools. I do have a link to my Amazon affiliate storefront in the description box of this video. There you will find links to a lot of the tools that I use.
Really nice little box. Like the contrast in colour of woods. Why the insert? Why not just a well fitted lid onto a shoulder? Am I being 'fick'?
Because it’s pretty 😊?
Thanks for watching! This is a fair question, thanks for adding it to the conversation. It is simply an aesthetic choice. It would be nice either way. Besides as a tutorial it provides an additional tip/technique adding value.
@@DreadKnotWoodshop i wasn't intending to have a go or be critical. I was just interested in 'Why the insert?' For no reason is good enough for me! What you're saying is it isn't essential. The insert idea is good for thread chasing when the main body of wood is too coarse grained and unsuitable for chasing. ehmm . . . gives me an idea of threaded lid and insert into contrasting body of wood, that way you don't 'screw up' (in this sense i mean 'ruin') the body. You can easily make another insert if the threading doesn't go well! Even better you can reduce the thickness of insert by turning once threaded!!
@@RayShaw007 I didn't take it as a critical comment. And yes this is a great way to incorporate thread chasing in woods that otherwise wouldn't take hhreads.
How can we vet a more detailed video?
Nice!
