- New Sound Set For The Cessna 172 For MSFS | AMAZING!!
Boris Audio Works created a new sound set for the Cessna 172 for Microsoft Flight Simulator and they are fantastic and really change the "feel" of the aircraft. This greatly increased the immersion for me!

Thanks for the showcase, I really appreciate it! I've gotten some feedback that the set is a little too expensive (15 euro) and start of February I'll be dropping it to 10 euro. I'll also be making it compatible with the free AS1000 mod.
Cheers,
Boris
My pleasure!!! Great work!!
Does it have an installer
Boris - I believe it's you that does the sound for the A32NX FBW?
@@hjr2000 that is correct
That's awesome! 👍
I have about 50 hours in a 172. The sound are quite high fidelity and closer to the real deal. Great addon. I will be getting it.
This combined with the WB-Sim enhancement mod is epic
I definitely going for this one as o love to have the proper sound on my aircraft, just watched a video on CZcams with a real world Cessna 172 pilot and I couldn’t really tell the difference between the two so well done 👍
This added a lot to the seaplane version too. Love it.
Awesome add-on! ..
Well done Boris Audio Works and thanks Overkill for highlighting the add-on..
I would really have loved the steam gauge version of the 172 but sadly ive only the " base" version of MSFS2020 so no " enhancement " mod by WB-Sim for me either 😞
Ok the wheels on landing were pretty awesome. Sold!
Thank you for demonstration of the sounds. A bit quite up there in the air but therefore we still have fsrealistic to combine. Love those rolling sounds very well
It's definitely not quiet and the wind + engine makes it a pretty loud experience. I suggest not using fsrealistic for the ground rolls and winds and such, as it overlaps with the sound pack. But I hope you enjoy it either way :)
@@BorisAudioWorks I just purchased and installed through Orbx but it is causing sound glitches in MSFS and in the 172. I also have FSR but turned off wind and ground like you said. Even when I closed FSR it still kept giving me sound glitches. Also, I am using the most recent WB Mod as well. Any idea how to fix this?
WB sim 172 and these sounds make it the real deal!
Sounds really good indeed!
it really sounds good
Hi, I Really Enjoyed your Video, could you tell me from which Airport you took off from? Thanks 🙂
hmmm close rrrr than msn but ynow being around 172's for 14 years and different varieants you remember them. and Heyy Everyone another Awesome video
Fuel cut off the ref button to pull / near the selector fuel ⛽️ vanne > to start engine
Excellent! Will grab this today!
How about the Baron G58 Boris? 🙏
Maybe in the far future haha, I'm not doing any MEL training for a WHILE :)
@@BorisAudioWorks I just purchased it from OrbxDirect.
Wow!! This changes everything on the C172! Every sound is so finite and realistic. It really boosts my tactile transducers (bass shakers) to unbelievable levels of immersion!
I’m hooked on the 172 again (over the twin Baron). Thanks Boris! 🥰
Update…I’m experiencing a constant shaking or vibrating in VR (G2) just in the cockpit. But not when looking at the wings or outside with drone. Just the dashboard and inside the plane. I thought it was my shakers but it’s same when turning them off. Is that by design? Is there a way to remove or reduce this shaking effect, because for me it’s unflyable as it’s kinda making me nauseous.
Is that a C172 mod? Looks diffrerent than the one in the gamepass-version of MSFS I have (nevermind, you mention it at the end)
What are those big jets doing at St Barth ?
The sound of that E75 landing there would have been interesting !!! 😂😂
Is this compatible with WBsim Cessna 172?
Great vid, thanks! what is the name of the airport?
Great sounds. How about the Reims version. Compatible?
No, the reims has a different engine.
@@BorisAudioWorks ok thanks
The engine is definitely a lot more throatier
great sound indeed, would it work with the WB-Sim 172SP Classic Enhancement ?
yes
Yes, completely compatible:)
Does revving a cold engine cause damage as it does IRL?
I think it does, WBSim models engine damage. And it will die on you if you idle it right after start when it's cold, it's pretty neat!
@@BorisAudioWorks Awesome.
Now, if the vanilla brand could just get the audio correct so that 3rd party don't need to develop add-ons, that'd be fantastic.
Wonder why there is planes sitting on the tarmac that you would never see the developer needs to fix that
Yep a bit like big jets that would never land at Airports that are only meant for Regional Turbo props.
The sounds are accurate but you can not hear the switches while the engine is running. Not even that quiet in the cock pit! Especially with headset on.
For sim purposes it has to be somewhat relative, the volume range has to be compressed. Irl the idle of the engine is so much louder than the switches, but if I made it that much of a volume difference in sim, it would be way too loud at idle and not much room to increase it at full power. Compromises like this have to be made.
@@BorisAudioWorks personally I noticed the switches being too loud too. Why not lower their volume rather than trying to increase the engine volume? Honestly I think you could knock them down at least 25% and they would still be fine in engine off situations.
Hmmmm... I wonder if this is compatible with FSRealistic Pro?
It is, but I would suggest disabling the sounds such as ground roll and winds, since they'd overlap
@@BorisAudioWorks Got it! And thanks for the reply! I take it you mean disable those sounds in FSRealistic Pro, right?
@@MikeInExile correct yes!
LOL why wouldn't it be compatible with FS Realistic? That is an external piece of software which will work with any aircraft in MSFS accept gliders.
@@tylerchambliss8379 I think he means with the sounds from FS realistic rather than the Prog itself
I spent 4 years in the U.S. Navy and never came as close to getting seasick as I did watching this video. I love your work, but really wish you wouldn't use your eye tracker device when making them. All that jumping around really takes away from the content.
I like that eye tracker. Much better than a fixed camera.
What airport is this?
TFFJ
Where is that prestart checklist,mmmmm?
16.00 bucks for a sound mod come on ! id pay maybe 5 bucks but this stuff should be done in the game since the game cost close to 100 dollars
No runup,no mag check, flight controls?Go back to flight school.
Bro I thought this was a msfs update to the c172 Im not paying for sounds for a 172 that barely gets flown😂
that makes sense, I wouldnt either if i didnt fly it much, which i dont.
Obviously ..😂
