Godzilla X Kong: New Empire was ok, but it was also very predictable. 1. We all knew Godzilla & Kong would end up joining forces & both monsters would have an equal roar. 2. The trailers were misleading, showing Godzilla & Kong fighting each other, while Scar the red ape watching the fight from his throne, which would have been more epic. 3. The movie had its typical, ordinary humor between the characters. The 2 leading male characters sparring over funny lines & killing off the angry leader, then the funny pair take the lead. 4. Kong gets hurt, humans help Kong with a “fighting brace”, that looked like something from a Transformers movie. Kong returns to kick monkey ass with “Transformers” brace. 5. New Empire was also “Kong-centered” AGAIN. Thirty minutes of Kong story, with 2 minutes of Godzilla clips peppered throughout the movie. They did that in Godzilla vs Kong. 6. In the Toho version, the young girl communicates with Mothra, in New Empires, the young girl communicates with Kong. Again, “Kong-centered”. 7. If you’re gonna show a powerful Godzilla; example: “Godzilla consuming nuclear energy”, at least give the big guy a worthy monster opponent & let them fight it out. Otherwise, what’s the point of “Godzilla consuming massive amounts of nuclear energy”? 8. If you want to give Kong a lot of scenes, make a solo Kong movie without Godzilla. That way it doesn’t look unbalanced. 9. Hollywood needs to lean away from predictable storylines. Think of something unique, or introduce a new monster. Don’t try to regurgitate scenes from previous movies, that’s boring. 10. The worst scene from New Empire, when Kong surfaces in Egypt & tries to convince a charging Godzilla to help him fight Scar King & Shimo. That look on Kong, “deer caught in headlights” when Godzilla charges & Kong puts his hands up to surrender, SO STUPID
