What did you think of Theresa May's speech?
A disingenuous display one of many used to portray the illusion that they were close friends with her. Lol she was their boss.
Lovely & heartwarming.
all these People should be at The GALLOWS for what they have done to People!
Lovely and heartfelt
Strong and stable
It wasn't about politics. It was about memories of a woman that the majority of people loved and respected. That was why I loved this speech.
Most genuine heart felt speech ive heard x
Spot on!
It was about yo momma
👍👍👍💖😢
Not majority , everyone 😢Rip 🥺
“May she rest in peace and rise in glory”…I have never heard this said before but love it. RIP Your Majesty
Yes I had never heard that before either. Heart rendering indeed.
Yes, I love that too.
It's a turn of phrase I've heard used before in Anglican/Episcopalian services.
@Nicky L no wonder...beautiful!! The part rise in glory has been alluded in some of apostle Paul s letter. One of those was in 1 or 2 Corinthians. That we who keep the faith to the end, at Christ s 2nd coming, will be tranformed into a glorious body. First those who have preceded us and then those, who are alive
I've heard it a lot from church people
As someone who doesn't follow your politics and is simply an outsider looking in, I thought her speech was warm, respectful, loving, and full of humanity and humility. If nothing else, it was a beautifully written speech and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Agree 100%!!!!
I was never a fan of Theresa when she was in power but her speech was spot on. Well done 👏
Right? If she showed her sense of humor that likely would have helped her a lot, imo.
Me neither, but what a lovely speech with great comedic timing! 👏
Got to respect Theresa May stayed as an MP and didn't run off after being Prime Minister like the rest of them.
I thought that too, well said 👍
Boris is sat 3 seats down from her
She spoke well. It was just a pity Johnson was within the shot...the guy who partied on the eve of the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral and broke his own Covid rules while the Queen observed them and say alone at her husband's funeral.
I was surprised to see Boris sitting there behind her. In the US we do it differently. When you're out, you're out!
Like Churchill. He never left the Commons, even though the Queen offered his, the title Duke of London.
She was the only one who mentioned the household staff who served for so long and had great affection for her Majesty and must be grieving too. Well done, Theresa.
By the way, the cheese story was my favourite of the day.
The staff must be heartbroken
*There were others, both MPs (House of Commons) and in the House of Lords. You can watch both videos in full from the UK Parliament channel.*
That was a very heartwarming speech and talks a lot about how extraordinary the Queen was not because she was The Queen but how great of a person she was.
yes very heartwarming
Made me yawn as all the boring anecdotes about the queen have.
Yes. Very warm....
@@beniteztheconman so what are you doing here? Stay away and go do something interesting if you can.

Theresa May's BEST ever oratory and she nailed the respect so many had for the Queen , nobody quite like her and never again will there be another as vaulted , remarkable indeed

Theresa's speech was spot on. To bring in the humour and personal experiences was a great touch and lifted the mood.
That's real skill but comes from lots of experience. Lots of respect for doing that.
Long live QUEEN 🇨🇦🙏🌎
She’s passed away mate
Helloooo? Hilda? Long live...who?Queen Liz is GONE.
Well done Theresa ,the Queen was simply the best.
What a great speech. This speech was tasteful, interesting and well-thought-out. I found it gave an endearing account of the late Queen and portrayed a fun, kind and thoughtful Queen who had such people skills many of us could only dream of having. R.I.P. Queen Elizabeth II.
"she knew many of the World Leaders, in some cases she had known their fathers" - incredible and powerful
"May she rest in peace and rise in glory." Beautiful heart-felt words.
This is the best tribute I've heard yet ❤

Well done Theresa May. Excellent speech in remembering her very essence as woman and Queen.
As a young man I've grown up to accept the Queen's greatest achievement was the rights of Women not just in our country. This is how I will remind people of her work.

Honesty, it is an excellent speech. The queen would be happy to be remembered like this. Rest in peace, your majesty.
“She gave an example to us all - of faith, of service, of duty, of dignity, of decency. She was remarkable, and I doubt we will ever see her like again. May she Rest In Peace- and rise in glory.” #QueenElizabeth

What an awkward experience. Never before seen Theresa May so emotionally at ease and composed. What a heartfelt eulogy.
Oh well
The best tribute speech I’ve heard yet. Tributes, especially so close to the person’s death, don’t have to be nothing but sorrowful, somber words. This was an excellent tribute because it showed her love and respect for the queen, but in a way that lifts people’s spirits. We don’t need to hear how many years she served, how many countries she’d been to, what her shoe size was, etc. from every tribute. The news already repeats all of that. This was the kind of tribute that gives you a little bit more insight into the person, not the title, and leaves you feeling even more love and respect for her majesty than you already had. Now that was a tribute done right.
Whatever you think of her politics, this was a great speech. It really came from the heart.
Who would have thought that Theresa May could deliver an amusing anecdote with the timing of a seasoned comedian? A lovely tribute.
What a wonderful, humorous speech. The best recollections of her majesty I've heard all day. Warm, incredibly witty and really from the heart. Well done Theresa May. You captured the essence of the woman , not just a queen.
You are easily pleased.
Well said
Cheese! Cheese! Liz truss loves her cheese
What med u no i gotta try it
If there is one positive from our beloved Queen's death, it's the humanization of stuffies in Government. Loved Theresa May's speech. Politicians should speak from the heart more often.
hard to spew bs from heart. talking in circles, half-truths and outright lying is sadly required for a successful career in politics.
Out of all the tremendous tributes to her majesty that I’ve heard thus far. Theresa May’s tribute had made me smile, laugh & even shed a tear 😢 thank you for you’re beautiful words Theresa ❤ RIP ma’am together again👸
That cheese story was pure comedy gold. The delivery couldn't be better.
I don't get the joke
@@RachelSchloer She is highlighting how down to earth the Queen was. You might expect a queen to be haughty about it, to discard the cheese, to fetch a footman to replace it and banish May back to London...but she just smiled.
*butter
@@RachelSchloer It wasn't a joke. It was the fact that she shouldn't have put the cheese back on the plate for a Royal buffet. Naughty Theresa!
Imagine dropping a bit of cheese in front of someone being the best story you could tell
Politics aside, this is a bloody great speech and well delivered.
I think this speech is so impressive because it has been written out of genuine admiration. Not just polite formality, as many speeches of tribute are.
Amen.
This woman’s comic timing ⏱ is impeccable! She’s very witty and funny 😆
No she ain't
She's a funny one May. This is a great speech from someone whose personal touch has been so criticised. Watching these speeches I realise there is real talent there that does not translate into political accomplishment.
I hope she doesn't dance on stage anytime soon .

Everything happens at the right time. We may well still get a full brexit. A work in progress. Theresa May no matter what her policies will still be grieving a loss of the Queen on some level. This is a time to be united as a country in our collective grief putting aside our differences. T

OK, but a bit "cheesy".
Such a perfect speech. It encapsulates everything the Queen was. Majesty mixed with humility & humour, wrapped up with profound wisdom.
You can say what you like about Theresa May and her views and politics, her oration to her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was simply perfect. The anedote about the cheese was funny, yet profound...RIP, Your Majesty. Thank you, Theresa
Great to see MPs laughing together and in unison. Pity they couldn't transfer that spirit into their everyday work.
To be honest, when you know a group of politicians spent a day arguing on that same topic in that same room, all quietly listening to someone talk about a topic, you can tell how much they all loved the queen. I do too. I don't really know her very well, but one thing for sure is that we will never get to see her calming smile ever again.
May you sleep in peace, Your Majesty.
Agreed.
May she rest in peace with understanding the nation loved her quite and calming way of being a servant of the nation.Very few people are as dignified as she was.
I thought her speech was amazing! Her words were deeply honoring of the Queen, even her humor. Well spoken.
The cheese story (at a Balmoral picnic) starts at 6:25. This was an excellent speech, respectful, touching, humorous and even entertaining. Her speech illustrates how deft she is at communication and politicsn as you quickly find yourself liking her and wanting to hear more from her.

This was perfection. What a tribute. Very well put Mrs May 👏
Fantastic remembrance of the Queen, her devotion to duty, and her humanity.
Compare it to Truss speech about the Queen. You can tell which one really cares.
What a sincere, humorous and heartfelt speech.
The Queen's death is a stark reminder for all of us, that life is not how long or short you lived, it is not about how poor or privileged you were, it is not about how successful you were in your career or studies, how many followers you had on social media, it is all about how you made others in your life feel. No one remembers you for your net worth or your academic degrees. People will always remember you fondly if you have made them feel cared, loved and special even in small ways. Life is as simple as that.
Very true.
Actually her privilege is exactly why Prince Andrew the nonce isn’t facing any consequences for his gross actions. You know what else privilege looks like? Your funeral and coronation of your son costs the state £6 billion despite there being a catastrophic cost of living crisis for millions of people in the country. They should be paying for it themselves, not us. They’ve got the money to.
Very well said,and the truth.
reading this made tears well up. so true
This is what people should aim for, very true. Gonna sc this as a daily reminder to be kind and caring
This by far is the best speech about the Queen that I’ve listened to in the wake of her passing. Rest In Peace Your Majesty.

What a beautiful speech. I am an American, but I think the vast majority of us loved the Queen. She was such a mixture of grace, warmth and humor that her presence in the world made it such a better place.
I never meet the Queen and I am not even British, but I don’t know why, I really enjoyed through out the time to see her appearances on the television broadcasts and on the internet. And I had a bit of a shock when I heard she died. I believe that in spite of her work that she did like a Queen, in which many approve or disapprove, she was likeable by the world in a way that now people will miss her.

Really liked Theresa May's speech very heartwarming and genuine!
"Dignity and Decency" the two words that the Queen has embodied, and if just one person is capable to pay what it costs in terms of behaviour, a whole life, it's such an energy for millions of others. Queen Elisabeth II had a smile to which in the whole world, somebody smiled in return.
If she had been decent, she would have tried harder to stop some of the evils that went on in her name.

Theresa May's speech provides another window into everything that was her Majesty the Queen. A small part of our mourning is in knowing we are not permanent, as we naively thought the Queen was.
I saw Germans weeping in front of the the British ambassy in Berlin...unbelievable what this Queen has been to many people even in Germany.... It's seems Germans love the Queen and the UK..... Anglosaxon ties never dies
What an incredible tribute to our late queen. Thanks you Mrs May.
Hi
I surprised myself by weeping like a child when the Queen died. I sat there watching the TV and the tears streamed down my face. Not sure why - I'm not British, have never had the pleasure of traveling to the British Isles and don't pay a lot of attention to the politics of that nation. But I felt heartbroken and bereft because she was no longer on this earth. As Theresa said - may she rest in peace and rise in glory.
That is bloody hilarious. I love that she brought up a happy memory to sweeten the pain.
May's speech was a fitting tribute to her Majesty. There will never be another like Queen Elizabeth and that makes me very sad. I'm hoping everyone will follow her lead because it was perfect. She set a high bar and did it with compassion grace and always humor. I'll miss her smile her laugh and especially that twinkle in her eyes.
