I’m thankful Merle’s son Scott has been recognized. He looks just like his dad and sings like him too. His son Ben does as well. Merle leaves a great posterity in his children. Everyone is a credit to their father and their mothers.

Noel Haggard is NOT Bonnie Owens son! Noel's mother was Leona Hobbs Haggard. Merle and Leona Hobbs were married from 1956 to 1964 and had four children, Dana, Marty, Kelli and Noel. BTW - their eldest child, and 1st daughter Dana died in her sleep almost two years to the day - (2 years and 4 days) that her father died (4/6/16) on April 10th, 2018. Bonnie Owens did have two sons by her 1st husband Buck Owens: Buddy Allen Owens and Michael Owens.
