Good shit bro
you are like the only person that actually explains their build and doesn't just show 40 invasions showing how good it is.
Good job on your vids. 10/10, would subscribe again.
ur vids are actually so good, most other people doing elden ring tutorials just ramble on for 30 minutes just to say one thing, u get straight to the point but also explain everything just enough to know exactly where to get the items and stuff, great vid
Honestly man, super well made video. I was able to pause multiple times with your detailed guides even outlining what steps to take on the map. I know people take these things for granted. You put a lot of effort into this! You deserve my sub and a million more. Kudos!
Completely agree with this!
Absolutely agree, my character is a mage and I’ve sort of been winging it. But now that I’m at the end game I can respec and upgrade the gear you’re referencing here. Thanks!
This was a great video, straight to the point and very well detailed. This is how every tutorial should be.
While testing Glintstone Pebble and it’s upgrads, I discovered something interesting. Pebble doesn’t provoke agro from near by enemies, or at the very least, it’s range is dramatically reduced. Using Swift and Great Shard for example, I noticed that every time I killed with it, a near by enemy would come in to investigate. Pebble has no such reaction. These test were done at the Gatefront Ruins. Wanted to share this hidden utility that has been quite useful to me.
Quick update: Comet shares the properties as Pebble. Definitely an upgrade, though it may not be sustainable due to FP cost. It is still an option if you suspect the enemies won’t die to 1-2 cast of Pebble.
Amazing 🤩
Your a which aren't you?
Thanks man

Just wanted to say massive thanks for putting these 3 videos together. I started this game when it first game out and after getting hardstuck on Godrick even after 20hrs of gameplay I gave up. Picked it back up on a whim a couple of weeks back and started fresh. Found this series of videos and after 52hours of ingame time I just beat radagon/elden beast yesterday. It's been a hell of a journey, some of the best gameplay I have played in my 30 years and I could not have done it without your knowledge!!
Thank you for the guides. You have been a guiding light in the lands between
Almost done the game and it's been great to follow your videos! Still rocking dual staves with Scepter in right and Meteorite in left. After I got my Int to 80 and Mind/Vigor to 40, I got Endurance to 30 and now I can wear actually good armor, I think it's worth to boost it to wear better armor, also helps to chain cast spells and dodge roll out of harms way. Still mostly using Rock toss, even on Malenia was great. I did replace Pebble with the new one you showcase in the video.
These videos really saved my sorcery playthrough. Thanks alot bro 👍
while watching all these video's ive made a physical checklist of things i want to get next, and it's so much fun to actually go through a list and slowly build the best setup for my mage. have only been playing for 6 days but already around level 150 and theres still so much i want to get done. love your videos!
wow already level 150? how did you level up so quickly! any good rune farming spots?
@@timshaw1468 i just grinded the hell out of the game, and mostly did the bird farm. But after beating the game the best NG+ rune farm (imo) is those enemies next to the bird farm. Use the sword from the Elden Beast and use it's special attack. Kill's them all in one sweep and its around 70k runes in 10 seconds.
Thanks for the detailed videos. I followed your mage build guide through the beginner, midgame and this endgame video. Finished the game and definitely made my first souls like game experience a lot smoother than it otherwise would have been.
Gear: The lategame gear combination served me well
Spells: Swift/Great Glintstone Shard and later on Adula's Moonblade carried me through most of the game and Rock Sling carried me through every boss fight
Summons: Tiche was great once i got her but the Godrick Soldiers and later the Greatshield bois were MVPs for early boss fights
There’s a lot of knowledge in this video You just made my mage a lot stronger thanks

This is the most well put together elden ring build video i've seen on youtube thus far lmao good job
Have followed all your build guides, love your work!!
Really appreciate your mage build series Nizar. It was a big help as I was making my way through Elden Ring.
thanks Yotam! appreciate the generosity
Black Kinfe Tiche is also a good summon. She does percent damage and she is very good at dodging. She melts tanky bosses. I prefer her over mimic now that they nerfed mimic. Also moonveil is a good secondary weapon for mages. The weapon art is fast, scales with int, and does insane damage in both pvp and pve.
Moonveil it's very good and fun. I had it for awhile and got it +6. But the Spectre with thehe bonus effect for Meteorite I think it's better to have.
Especially when having adulas moon blade and/or the hammer for close range and the special attack from the Spectre it's actually awesome and staggers. So now I have Spectre +10 and Meteorite.
Also just got the black knife tiche always heard great things about it. Got them both at +6
You think I should I use the black knife tiche for fire giant 😭😭🙏

Followed your guide the whole way! What a legend.
Awesome videos man! They helped me very much and I easily beat the game using a lot of these strats and gear. Now I'm just enjoying fighting some secret bosses and I even wrecked both of the lighting dragons in one shot with my mimic and comet azur :) For armor I put more points into endurance so I can use the full veteran's set which gives some of the best defensive stats in the game and then just swap out whichever magic helm I feel like using depending on my spells.
didn't expect to see motorcycle youtuber here.
You changed my mind about that weapon art on the scepter lol. I hadn't considered that maybe the scepter had built-in stats that made it perform better than if you put the same art on one of your other staves (I'd only tested it on other staves). That was straight up respectable damage and the cast is quick!
Always on point. Love the vids keep'em comming.
Just came across all your mage build guides and I have to say yours is the best out of all guides i've seen. You earned a new follower :)
What a guide
Already beat the game and i was looking forward to try Magic and found the perfect vid. Thanks

Thank you sooo much for these videos on mage stuff I was honestly so lost without you keep up the amazing content
Hey guys, the spell, Adula's Moodblade is godly too.
Wide sweeping, excellent range greatsword swing, that you can spam, sends a horizontal projectile, has VERY high stagger, destroys groups, AND inflicts frostbite..
Edit: and VERY good damage
Plus you can dial wield the staff that boosts sword sorceries, and also wear the snow witch's hat
He mentions this in the previous video for this build
I’ve followed all your videos and I’m so excited about this one. Thank you!
Hahahah ur so right I fully watched thru and I’m so glad I did cus I wasn’t really happy earlier cus I felt was rushing through it and then I got to radahn and now I’m level 70 so I can do this and then still have a bunch of options for close range and mid range as a mage , preciate the vid Brœ
Really great video man! helped me a lot, wish you could make one with a dark/blood/fire themed sorcerer build.
love the fast forward for the route to take helps me out so much
5:06 if the turtles aren't spawning for you to kill, try not to fast travel after activating the puzzle. It seems to cause them to despawn. If the one by the cliff side doesn't spawn at all in the east, don't fret just kill the other 2 and the tower will open as well for some reason.
What I've figured out was, I'll find one then kill it fast travel and it MIGHT spawn again and it counted it anyway
Thank you!
@@Biwieee i just went back to the door, then the book and went east then north and found both. Fast travel stopped me seeing these. So if you dont see them fast travel back to the tower then touch the door and book and then just ride to the location. Worked for me

Thank you
love that video, im at level 113 full sorcerie (lusat+10 / Darkmoon Greatsword +8 just when i want to play a bit melee) with azur set + frostwitch head. I just love the style.
Still having no problem at all - even in the late game.
I personally dont mind the higher fp costs with lusats
good guide, convinced me to keep playing with sorceries and use a variety for situational combat.
I followed ur entire samurai/bleed and mage builds I rlly enjoyed following theses as I got familiar with the game and finished the story. Thx a lot 👌👌
I've been following the series of guides since it dropped, and it's helped me a lot. You're the GOAT.
Awesome Video as always. After new spells did a few changes. Biggest one it's Night Comet and off hand Staff of Loss (Boost 30% of damage to Invisibility Sorcery) so it makes Night Comet the best sorcery basically and using it over pebble or great cometshard. Other great thing about Night comet it's enemies dont see it so don't evade it, it ignore most shields and passes thru body so it will damage the one behind your enemy.
Level 143 (Next 7 levels making Vigor and Mind at 40, may stay at 150 or give few more to endurance and get better armor)
Vigor 36, Mind 37, END 21, Dex 20 INT 80
Right Hand: Carrian Spectre +10 and Dagger with Bloodhound step (I can get it out of sticky situations and gain space)
Left Hand: Staff of Loss (30% bonus to invisibility sorcery like Night Comet) Meteorite (Boost to gravity sorcery like Rock Sling and Meteorite of Astel)
Snow Witch Hat (10% bonus to cold sorcery) Blaidd's Armor Set (takes me 44 poise)
Talismans:
Graven-Mass and School Talisman (added 12% damage) Godfrey Icon (12% boost to charge sorcery, Night Comet it's one of this) Radagon Icon (faster casting makes it have 12% bonus damage)
Spells: Adulas Moonblade | Night Comet | Rock Sling | Stars of Ruin | Terra Magicka | Comet Azur | Ranni's Dark Moon
About to get Meteorite of Astel and that takes two slots. Not sure which to change
Awesome video and well explained, I'm starting to build int dex build and wanted to learn about the magical way of life and my man Nizar has covered it in depth, thanks for the video and looking forward to the second part of your int dex video.
Love how detailed this guide is.🤔 Time to sub and like.
tbh i’ve never really enjoyed INT builds in souls games, but elden ring really gave them some extra love this time. on my 2nd play through (now as pure INT) and man… this is sick
You’re growing fast and it’s completely deserved
Thank you so much for this series! :)
This series definitely earned my sub, great job!
Finding the three turtles at Chelona's Rise was totally bugged for me.
If you're having the same issue, from what I've researched you CANNOT fast travel to any site of grace when seeking the three turtles. You have to do it all in one cycle. If you messed up and did fast travel, they won't show up in the locations they're supposed to be at.
What I did to sort of "reset" them was pass time until nightfall at a site of grace, then re-read the journal in front of the rise again. This should let them show up once more.
I ended up only having to get rid of two of the three turtles to make the seal break, which was also strange, but got the job done. Hope this helps!
i hope it helps too. i have been trying for days to get it to work but it wasn't. I have searched for every fix possible, so i hope this will work
Whoa, didn't know if you put meteroite staff in off hand u can get gravity spell buff while using the main staff. In my case, metorite on left, and lusat on right. Gamechanger
You are the best. Keep it going with warrior build. Thanks For the mage builds you have helped me a lot
I've been waiting for this. Thanks!
I'm now stuck on the Fire giant, level 138 mage. This video is now helping me redesign my character a little bit. highly appreciate it. i now know which puzzle pieces are missing for my mage. Good stuff Nizar!
Use abdulas blade for 1st phase and azurs comet on second, was easier than the cheese
@@kasparlau2812 DUDE.THANK YOU. I killed that dragon, got abdulas blade and killed the fire giant first go. thank you, thank you. took me two days to kill this thing LOL
Adulas moon blade is just awesome. Best sword summon, better than carian swords because of the ice wave and it wrecks most trash mobs with one hit. Plus the aoe is great for corridors in caves and catacombs. Ita also great for roll catching in pvp, very hard to dodge if they mess the timing up. No matter what your final build is moon blade is the best thing you can have and it works well as a melee alternative. I used the icerag for the giant because it's faster. Just timing the rolls into his aoe and he was 5 mins easy to beat.
After some intensive testing, I realized a couple of things:
- Godfrey icon IS actually very good since it both boosts moonveil weapon art AND charged spells.
- Night comet shard (don't remember the name, but it's the more costly one) has the highest single cast damage if charged (godfrey icon) and with dual staves. Reached ~2800 damage. If you hit at least 2 targets, the cost is worth.
- When moonveil + carial regal, comet shard (the most costly variant) is very good if charged. Greatbow is better but slower.
- Adula's moonblade is still super strong and a staple of my build.
does the 2 staffs BOTH increase dmg of spells simultaneously? that's interesting. I respecced from melee just for testing magic, 42 int, and most spells are very underwhelming. night comet does around 700 dmg. That's very low and FP-costy compared to melee build / Astel's wing +9, which does 2000+ dmg for just one fast and cheap skill use. Hoarfrost stomp is even more strong.. Still dont have Azur comet for sure, as it wants 60 int, but other spells up to my stats are pretty lackluster.
@@letwolf it's because of the 42 int. It's way too low. For a caster build you need to ramp things up: 80 int, both talismans that increase sorcery, maybe blue Scorpion (but I don't use it), Godfrey icon, over 350 spell modifier. Below 80 int, I suggest you to use meteoritic staff with rock sling and a good main weapon. For dual staves: yes, you get both bonuses because they apply bonuses when you have them equipped. So when you will have a good int value, it's better to have the carian regal as main, fully upgraded, and the other staves you need in the offhand even unupgraded. Hope it helps!
Two staffs does not both increase spells. You can cast with one or the other and you only get the scaling from the staff you cast with (L1 or R1), however the bonus from the staffs will still apply to each other (ie bonus to gravity spells, bonus to full moon sorcery, etc).
Very awesome this video helps quite nicely and saves a lot of trouble runs much appreciated 👍
Literally followed ur build guides from beginner to now. Hoping this gets me to finish Elden Beast!
but then why buy it just to do someone else had done lol take back and say im to dumb to play this game
@@DavidVenters nah he still has to put in the work buddy
Lusats staff + primal glinstone blade talisman = almost negates the additional FP cost of Lusats, but the huge damage increase remains, so for maxing your damage, this combination really seems to be better as you wont miss that HP reduced by the talisman
Does it? At 40 vigor you 200+ hp that is about 14% less hp for about 10% damage.
For the three tortoises, you have to run to each one without fast travelling, or it resets the scroll
Thanks for these videos! I’m at 62 in intelligence and doesn’t seem to go up much anymore. Magic. So I’ll be pushing more into mind since I’m at around 25 there. My vital is 50. Got to balance them out.

i learned a lot from this. thank you!
One thing to note about the intelligence knot and the physik magic tear. It's that intelligence will upgrade all of your spells while magic would not boost lots of spells like Rock Sling.
I'm still using the magic one but it's a good point to consider.
With your guides, I can essentially get the trophy for getting all sorceries while I'm at it
amazing production quality on these videos!
You can also just use crystal darts on the imps, a few crystal darts will charm imps and golem type enemies and they will kill each other. Even works on those weird cat statue bosses
Hey bud can you explain a little bit more?? That sounds great
Ritual Sword Talisman is an excellent talisman option because it gives you +10% damage, and it also works for spells. It requires you to be at max HP, but you already want to be at max HP as a mage. It will significantly boost the one-shot possibilities or at least an opener.
Well said. Absurd that he didn't mention it.

Dex can be worth leveling if you want to mess around with a melee weapon too. Wing of Astel is build for a mage, the heavy attack and ash of war add so much utility to my build. At level 150 I’ve got 20 str and 22 dex, use Carian knight shield in off hand and Wing of Astel to swap out with my staff in main hand. Bit less glass cannon and some different play styles available this way.
I have been loving my Moonveil on the right and my meteorite staff on the left (got the sceptre but only +5 so still not better than Meteorite staff) the special attack by Moonveil its so good.
I'm nearing 100 and haven't seen a lot of Dex mentions for these builds, but I agree. Have a lot of options and I'll probably Respec after throwing some stats around, but Dex has def made my mage more entertaining
I went with 80 int, 45 vigor, 35 mind and 40 dex. Works really good especially when I'm on horseback and fighting. Much more difficult to knock me off the mount.

Love your guides, dude x
Good alternative option for the left hand staff would be jellyfish shield. Your L2 becomes a 20% damage buff that lasts 30 seconds. So for gravity spells it's not quite as strong but for all your other spells it's a really good buff. Does require 20 str and 14 dex tho.
Spot on, I've been using the jellyfish shield on my mage ever since I found out that the LT/L2 gives you a nice buff.
could probably do some quick switching. some people might push strength to 16 to use the moonlight great sword. so 2handing the shield = 24 str to use the jellyfish shield L2. use a talisman for the dex requirement.
For the Chelona’s Rise turtle quest do NOT fast travel to go to each location, it will despawn them. Go there manually.
Is there any way to restart the quest? I see only 1 / 3 turtles.
Go back to Chelona’s Rise and reexamine the statue. That should spawn the rest of the turtle.
Thx for posting this, you got a new subscriber m8, thx again !

Wow after all the torment this game puts you through, we have legends like this that make the game so much more easier absolutely amazing thanks 👊
Hi,
Thank you for your great videos, they helped me out a lot!
Some points i wanted to discuss with you:
1) I use the jelly-fish shield offhand. Its active gives a very cheap 30sec damage boost (around 20% i think) that is very noticable. Its also quite good at blocking and only need 20 strength. But you cannot use it on horseback (the damage bonus skill, but you can use it before you get on the horse...). What do you think about it?
2) The Godfrey Icon enhances all charged skills and we use a lot of charged skills. Comet-shard hits like a truck with it, fully charged one-hits pretty much most "normal" enemies. I feel its very noticable.
3) Takers Cameo is very good for mage, you dont get hit very often but you kill a lot, this keeps you topped off.
4) Silver Tear Mask: i feel this is one of the best helmets. It gives 8 arcane helping to reach the limit for some spells with no downsides (for mage) and good defensive stats.
keep up the great work fellow mage =)
Godfrey is between 12-15% damage on any charged spell which really makes it the single most powerful talisman for slot. Also makes cometshard even better and enhances a really good line up of spells. I havent yet tested whether charged and channels are the same though.
@@TheSodiumazide imho it works on channels too

@@Kasha122were u mage build? Doubt any mele build could beat him under 10 tried under lvl 150
Wow, I love my royal scepter and rock sling. It never occurred to me to put the meteorite staff in the left hand! Can't wait to see that instant damage boost
If you have the graven-mass and graven-school, doing selvius' questline gives you the magic scorpion charm for another damage boost
Great vid!
This is personal taste but I'd pick Marika's Soreseal over the small 4% damage one, easily. It gives you 20 free levels and any caster in the game will want both Mind, INT and Faith with Arcane optional. The faith buff should push you to 14, which is enough to use stuff like Lord's Aid, Flame Cleanse Me, Poison Mist, the basic Fortification spells and Assassin's Approach (so lots of status removal for places like Lake of Rot and minor buffs vs bosses). The many extra levels you save could then be put into whatever you feel like.
Few points into faith for cleanse spell is a huge boost to quality of life in the game for scarlet rot/poison
Yeah, 12 faith for one of the nicest exploration heals (bestial vitality) and an ability to cleans scarlet rot/poison (flame, cleanse me) is what I've taken on my mage. So much quality of life for exploration and you can always swap them out for something else on boss battles.
