I really appreciate how you play the sound, so many start with raw sound and then switch to the headphones and you cant hear the engines! also, thanks for the narration and for not playing music! I look forward to more videos! thank you sir
Great video. I really like flying around YEG. The controllers are really easy-going. Did all my training in that area and went into the class C pretty often. Fly safe! 👌
@@EvanLuft I fly out of Cooking Lake mostly. I was doing pipeline inspections for a bit. There's a job prospect in Wetaskiwin and a prospect up north near High Level. I'm hoping for the northern job but they're really dragging their feet getting me in for a second interview. See what happens...🤞
Maybe you said it when you were not filming but I would have liked to have heard the dialogue between you and Air traffic control regarding your asking the air traffic control I love saying that but asking them when you have clearance for which runway and also when you land to the air traffic control there man this is so entertaining and so helpful I probably will never learn how to fly but maybe in the next life because my eyesight isn't as good as it should be I used to drive trucks but not anymore I know you need a medical exam but thank you for taking me on board your aircraft
Hello good sir! I will try to get the clearances in my next video! :) I used to record ATC and then my new cameras wouldn’t work with it. I’ve learned to drive truck got my class 1 so maybe in the next life we will switch roles! Haha cheers! :)
I really appreciate it! not a lot of these airplanes flying around. And one day... there will be 0. So Im glad I can share some of this footage to those who admire the airplane! :)
@@EvanLuft i'd love to fly one :) a friend of mine just got a job on the conquest for aerowest in germany. looks like i will be flying the pc24 soon, but who knows in covid times... whatever. cheers mate and happy landings :)
I used to do that and then I thought I would try commentating over top as something different. I might actually go back to recording ATC in future videos as I do miss that. Some people have said they prefer to hear the raw cockpit sounds, so I might try to combine both! :)
@@EvanLuft figuring out how to do commentary, and recording the raw audio would be a cool concept. I’m blind myself, so hearing the commentary is quite helpful to figure out what’s going on. But I’m also used to someone like citation max recording the audio of the cockpit. it gives me a close enough experience to what it would be like to be in the cockpit, since obviously, being blind, I can’t fly.
Absolutely! :) sounds like you’ve flown one of these before a time or two! I have only one flown the blackhawks and they are a nice ship but up here I’m canada the colder temperatures down allow us to really take advantage of them because we torque out before we temp out anyways on the -112s
Thanks a lot! Ugh that’s been an issue for me with the go pros because of the refresh rate on the screens. I’ve considered some other options because it makes me so mad too!!
Is your last name really Luft or is that pseudonym? Luft definitely fits your activity in this video, though, as "luft" is German for "air." Think of Lufthansa airlines or Luftwaffe as in the German Air Force. I found that very interesting.
Hey Patrick! Haha I found that out a couple years ago and it is ironic! :) you’re the second person to mention this to me! Haha you must have a bit of German in you like me? :p
@@EvanLuft Yes. Actually, it's not ironic. It's a coincidence! But yes, a little bit of German in my family. Mostly Irish and Italian though. Allegedly, Native American (Cherokee) tribe as well. Although, I could imagine up in Canada, those who claim Native American are probably Inuit. Right?
My father is thinking of getting like a 421 or 425 for his business and wants me to fly it. Just trying to figure out, what are the insurance requirements for it. Thanks
Both are great airplanes, but I am biased to the turbine 425 because of my experience on it. The 425 is a forgiving airplane and insurance hasn’t been too difficult. 200 hours of good multi IFR flying time is probably the minimum, however I’ve known people who have been insured with less multi time. Take the flight safety or simcom course for sure (not required but very good training), and get a type rating on the airplane. Build some experience with a competent 425 pilot for at least 10 to 20 hours or so while you do regular trips. Overall the 425 isn’t too complicated, those that struggle flying it usually lack in IFR multi time in general. The 421 is piston, so in my limited experience with 421s I can’t say much. The turbines are a reliable and solid power plant and easier to fly in my opinion.
basically all of the avionics, with exception of the autopilot computer and some other things. O2 bottle, A/C, a few other things. but lots of room for storage!
Very nice and smooth landing. Sad this aeroplane is no longer in production. I guess the single turboprops have dominated the market completely!
Nice to see you and the 425 back, great flight.
Thanks so much!! glad to be back flying a bit!
Great to see more videos of the Turboprop Cessna! I love this aircraft. Please keep the vids coming!

Thanks a lot!! :) I appreciate it so much :) a lot of work goes into making these vids. And yes it is! Western canada mostly. Alberta and BC!
Finally a new video!
Yup! Should have a few more coming too! Thanks so much

Fantastic! Can I check them out?

You are not monitoring the emergency frequency! Cool video though - greetings from a fellow conquest pilot :)

Let’s connect on social media if you’d like!

always fun!!
Thanks Evan, didn't think you were coming back, has the plane had any blackhawk mods done
neither of them yet! although they would be nice

IS HANGAR SPACE AVAILABLE?
MUST BE EXPENSIVE!
THANKS EVAN!!
I assume you use flaps 0° on T-O as they are split flaps and add only drag with no L/D improvement? Ever get to fly a Blackhawk 425?
