Congratulations from Texas. You seemed very confident not showing much nervous jitters at all. Welcome to the sky young man
Thanks!
Another one in the sky hey Bernie!
@@caltitude hey buddy wishing you the best and looking forward to your next USA content
@@berniebrown9115 Thanks Bernie, coming this week my friend!

Congratulations on your first solo! Nicely done! 😊
Ha ha ha! I remember my first solo... My instructor said Taxi to the ramp and said " Jet, you are going solo , remember everything I taught you " 👍
Ambushed you. Lol
Same here
Must've felt amazing being suprised by your flight instructor :)
@@TheFlyingVin16 my instructor did the same thing. which I guess is kinda good so that I wouldn't worry. but i wanted to put cameras in my plane. oh well
That smile when he was about to land was priceless. Congratulations young man. The A350 is somewhere waiting.
Thank you very much :)
@@TheFlyingVin16you will reach ur dream mine is different and hard
welcome to the skies! now nothing is your limit.
The woo-hoo after liftoff and your happiness face when start landing is just priceless. Congratulations dude!
I remember my first solo, over 35 years ago. Just after liftoff, I was completely caught off guard at how quickly that C152 would climb without the instructor next to me. Congrats.
Ahahaha, same memory here !
Same. I was in J3 Cub. It took off in no time, caught me off guard for sure.
I was caught off guard by the emotions when my C152 broke the surly bonds
The multiple smiles from takeoff to landing are worth millions hahahaha god job!!!!
Gefeliciteed op je eerste vlucht! Ik geniet wel van je content!
What a beautiful first solo. And a beautiful Katana plane too. I am in Finland and remember when a Finnish young man of your age flew his first solo. He wrote a book which I read over 50 years ago.
he smiles as his dream has just been realised. well done young fellow. parents will be very proud of you.
Every pilot remembers their first solo. As a flight instructor of many years, now retired, the optimum age to learn how to fly is between 14 and 16. Kids of that age generally only need one demonstration of a given manoeuvre. As they get older they need more.
Maaannn!!! You serious 😢 I'm 45 and still want to get my ppl. I'm in South Africa 😏 So... yeah.. it's difficult. Meaning expensive! But I will get it. I have a small bucket list, and to fly is on the top.
@@marvinharms1891 go for a gliding club south Africa is a paradise for gliding you can reach the heights and fly time of powered planes. and gliders are actually much more capable than any light leisure aircraft. With the right glider you can fly full acrobatics, thermal up 6000 8000 feet do acro repeat fun as heck. and very hands on flying much more demanding than motor aircraft.
is 18 still good?
@@mattemor8355 Any age is good. My experience was that younger people generally needed less reinforcement than older people.
@@tomarmstrong1281 Hi, there, I am currently 15 years old, and would love to get my PPL. Before I can fly my first solo, what step do I have to take in order to make that possible? Thanks for any advice, I highly appreciate it!
Its such a thrill when you complete your first solo!Ill never fortget it!
Very well done, Captain!
Congratulations 🎉💪👍💐
How proud must that young boys parents be!!! Amazing.
Well done, you nailed it . I did my first solo at 16 in a glider at RAF Halton. Took me another 5 years for my powered solo at Archerfield Brisbane. Instructor jumps out and says Off you Go .Welcome to the skies.
That was awesome to watch. Everything about this video was beautiful ... but your smile when you did it, that was the best.
Nice Job Buddy
Know that feeling. Pretty lite take off without that instructors occupancy.
Beautiful !!!
Absolutely. When my fat instructor got out of my plane I could barely keep it on the ground. It was light as a feather haha
Watching you from Bali, Indones and recalling my first so at age 16 - some 54 years ago. Thanks for helping me relive the thrill.
You're welcome ;)
Well done! I did mine 40 years ago when I was 15 and I still remember every minute of that flight, including the howling of course! Bravo!
Enjoyed the upload and your passion for Flying!
You'll never get that feeling ever again. You stayed very calm and confident.. well done
The smiles said it all: that's a day you'll never forget! Felicitations from the UK!
BRAVO from New York... Butter indeed!
Congratulations! Great performance, keep up the good work! Safe landings!
CONGRATULATIONS Young Man ! Keep your nose to the grind stone, you'll be a 777 Captain in 20 years and still have 30 years of flying. Very nice to ride along with you.
hello from California San Diego, well done young man congratulations! That looks like one really exciting day. You look very confident good job the flight looked awesome. You have some very proud parents.
Well done, young man. Wishing you many more exciting and safe fying adventures ahead!
Congratulations. Great video, I wasn't that much older than you for my 1st solo, would be hard to forget the date. 7/7/77. Didn't realise the coincidence until I filled out my logbook, though my CFI did know.😁
The scream and the WOO HOO at 10:50…PRICELESS!!!🤗🤗🤗
Congratulations on your first solo. There is nothing that can quite replace that exhilarating feeling when you take the controls of an airplane for the first time and fly it on your own. Believe me that was the same feeling I had when my instructor stepped out of the airplane and said, take it around the pattern a few times and don’t scratch it. It is one of the rare accomplishments that few of us will ever get to experience in a lifetime. Cherish and relish it.
Congratulations on your achievement. Your confidence shows that you will be a very skilled and accomplished pilot. I don't fly but whenever I buy a new car, I have it blessed so that God will be with me when I travel. You should be very proud of yourself. May God be with you whenever you takes to his heavens. God bless
Congratulations from Alaska USA, so many opportunities for you to take your first step into the aviation world. Stay safe and enjoy your aviation freedom.
Congratulations from Brandenburg-Germany.
Well done ! look forward to your following videos. Willie from the UK.
Marvellous ! Wonderful plane boy ! See you soon !
Congratulations, I remember my first solo in Daytona Beach in Florida 🎉🍾🥂
I can also recall my first solo 40 y ago at age 15. Listening to the ATIS more than once... flashbacks ;-). Back in those days the first solo would usually be after 45 mins with an instructor, and he'd jump out on the runway and leave you to do one or two. Well done.
Wow, 38 years old and terrified of flying and this young man is bossing it 😮 congratulations 🎉
That was so much fun to watch! Congratulations, young man. A tremendous achievement! Your smile was the best part! Greetings from Atlanta, Georgia USA!🇺🇸
Thanks! Greetings from the Netherlands👍
Well done buddy. I’ve been flying 19 years now and I remember my 1st solo very well.
are you a commercial pilot?
Wow! Awesome! 👏👏👏 That smile only comes from someone that loves to fly. Enjoy the sky dude!
This must be the most terrifying but exciting thing a human can feel. Well done!
Actually, it's NOT terrifying! If it was, people would not do it. It's exciting and fairly detailed but with good, professional tuition, today's GPS, modern aircraft and good weather it's easier than driving a car! (And fewer road-signs!) I remember a friend (who was a Doctor - a 'Flying Doctor!' - LOL) said, 'Remember, we humans are NOT meant to be up there! I replied, 'No, not without an aircraft and a map! I meant to learn to fly in the dark (and above the clouds) but it became too expensive. Maybe, one day!?
@@malacca1951 I know how flying works pal. I've been in the industry for nearly 20 years. I've not flown solo (yet)
The word terrifying ought not be a negative. Some of the most joyful experiences come from being scared, anxious, terrified. I don't retract my opinion
@@vizographIt’s never good to have no fear as a pilot. That can be a recipe to disaster. This guy is just trying to be tough for no reason. Saying what everyone says about the aviation industry. Buzzwords, no real terminology.
I also had my first solo at age 16 years and my flight instructor was in the plane with me as we were practicing circuits. Then after three landings he told me to pull over into a taxi way as he wanted to check something on the airplane and got out with the engine still running. I was a bit confused as to why he was just kept walking away from me towards the hangers until he turned around and just hand waved me off to the runway. Then it just all kicked in...Oh, he wants me to fly go solo!!!
Congrats! Like many of us, you'll cherish this moment for the rest of your life.
Well done 🎉 Many congratulations for this milestone achievement.
Congratulations on your first solo! It’s a day that you’ll never forget. You are well on your way to be an excellent pilot. Take care and fly well!
Congratulations! I'm planning to take my license in a few months once I'm done with the theory (I'm 17)
I remember that same smile on my face after going solo. Blue skies and safe flying my friend.
Congratulations!! I made my first solo when I was sixteen years old. Greatest moment of my life.
you are leaving a 21 years old dream brother
Good luck and keep having fun. Congratulations from Hamburg (GERMANY)
Congratulations from Alabama on your first solo! This is a huge life event that you will remember always. I bet you do big things in this life!
Well done! No sign of nervousness nor anxiety on this solo. Best wishes 👍👍👍👏
The smile! That’s awesome dude! Happy for you
He was so happy with this special accomplishment. Congratulations! Greetings from the USA near Washington, DC.
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 I always find it strange that you can pilot an aircraft before you can legally drive a car! Well done
(PPL student here) If you think about it, everyone with $500 in their wallet can get a drivers licence without having to do any kind of phisical and mental examination, and will learn to drive in a few months. piloting a plane requires much more time + you have to pass exams that are way harder than driving exams and you have an instructor that follows you throught your whole course. so i think it only makes sense that if you are capable that yes, you can fly a plane before driving a car
@@AlexdAviator with all that knowledge and experience about responsibility and safety they gather from flying, they will likely be the best, most responsible learner driver of all times at 18
@@RootBert397 yeah well a drivers license after a PPL will definetly give you the upper hand
Very well done and most impressive. Safe flying into the future!
I am amazed. You did such a great job and didn't seem nervous. I know how difficult it is to fly a small plane, everythong you need to know. Good luck to you in the future and only safe flights. Flying is so enjoyable!
i used to not be so interested in small planes like cessnas. But now you made me think about all the pilots learning how to fly an aircraft
You started at a very young age. The was you were so happy when you landed made me smile. Good luck to you on your aviation journey
Hopefully i will be like you one day
Amazing video and congratulations 🎉
Well done young man. Keep it up and be safe. Keep the blue side up!
Well done young man, your career as a pilot has taken it's first major step on a journey of many more. Congratulations. "Solutus a vinculis terrae"
congrats on the solo! My first solo my instructor said, do it like weve done every time leading up to this, and if that's out the window, just fly good dont suck.
Congratulations, you are a new star in the skies! I was working in the Airline Business and have more than 18'000 flying hours and I really admire you - you are so cool! Bravo !
Thank you very much sir👍
I remember my first solo too. 1972 in a 1969 C-150 aerobat.
I was looking forward to it! Uncontrolled field, no headset, just me and the unicom frequency to listen to and call my positions and intentions to anyone in the airport traffic area. Went for two touch n goes and the full stop. We used the CIGARS checklist.
The POH was so thin.
Controlls free & correct, instruments set & checked, gas on, air trim set, run up 1700 rpm check carb heat rpm drop then mag check and back to idol power, safety lights doors brakes etc. Cessna 7548v departing runway 35 for closed traffic at Aurora State. So easy and fun!! Now I can go fly by myself next time!! Great memories!! ERAU 80 CFIA&I ret.
Are you an airline pilot??!
Fantastisch! Gefeliciteerd, mooie video. Jaloers, ben zelf 68 jarige student en nog niet solo TL3000 Sirius!
well, done! totally accurate with the checklist and procedures up to the last moment. Plus - you enjoyed it and felt comfortable. From now on never take for granted that you are perfect. It's lifelong learning and focussing on what you are doing. Then it is great gift and exclusive passion that will stay with you.
You are blessed and kissed. Stay your ways in what you want to do and always will. Onward 🌈 to blue skies and always great times.
Congratulations young man. that's an awesome feeling !
Great stuff mate..... welcome to the sky!
... hello young man, how well you did it and I even felt the same emotion, what a good location of the cameras, flying this plane, it is similar to having a toy one in your hands, only this one is... real!! ...what a joy... and from Colombia, I congratulate you...👍👍👍👍👍👍 ....
Thank you very much✈️
Gefeliciteerd! deze vergeet je nooit weer! nog heel veel mooie vluchten en veilige landingen toegewenst!

Great video, and Congratulations!
Well done mate for flying solo (:
Hello from Phoenix, Arizona congratulations. Great video!!
Congrats!! I'm 14 and what you just did is one of my dreams. Fly high!
Well done from Ireland. I was your age when I took my first solo. I was fortunate to have had a wonderful chief and operating instructors. Good methods, practices, focus on all key checklist items at each stage of flight is an essential piloting discipline. Thinking ahead and preparing mentally and calmly for any eventuality and having.a plan to deal with such situation is to be well prepared. The Golden Order of piloting, Aviate, Navigate and Communicate in that order. Also your call out actions is good practice for later multi-crew operations in CRM operations. You will never forget that moment Sir. Bravo.
Thank you very much! I hope to achieve the same as you one day✈️
Bravo! May you safely and surely increase your skills and horizons
Thank you very much
Congrats young man.
Well done, must feel really good.
Parabéns, jovem piloto, compartilhamos de sua felicidade nesse primeiro voo solo!!! Deus o abençõe!!!

Keep learning more and more about aviation! Keep going, don't stop! It will be incredible!
Gefeliciteerd 🥳 ! 👏🏼 vanuit Australië 🇦🇺 … beste wensen jonge man 👍😉

Congrats from Illinois. Your nervousness is valid, as I would, especially hearing “runway 100 percent wet.”
Congratulations from Australia. Also watched your cross-wind landing video, well done!! Your English is also very good ... for flying anyway
Fantastic job on your first solo flight!
The thrill and nervousness of that moment are unforgettable.
As a fellow aviator and aviation channel creator, I love seeing the passion for flying in the next generation. Keep soaring high! ✈🛫
Bravo... Textbook flight. Make this a habit and you will enjoy flying forever.
Dutch:
Not allowed to drive a car solo.
Allowed to fly a plane solo.
:D
Haha it is true tho
Absolutely love seeing when young people accomplish something they've dreamt of. The smile and the fist at 6:03 says a lot. I smiled just like that when I drove my first train alone a few months ago, age 24, after passing my final exam. Congratulations with the successful flight!
Thank you very much!👍
Congratulations from California. Well done with your solo! Look forward to seeing how you progress with your flying.
Welcome into the aviation family ! Congrats :-)
Lekker man, gefeliciteerd. Ik deed mijn first solo bij zelf vliegen toen ik ook 16 was! Zo iets vergeet je nooit meer.
