I'm a UCLA fan and I can tell you Arizona has nothing to feel ashamed about. Great team and a great season, the tournament is incredibly unpredictable. Who knows UCLA and Kentucky both are deserving of the elite 8 and 1 of us is going home Friday night. Congrats to Xavier fans on a great finish to the game and win but really anyone who loses at this stage should still be proud of their guys for a great season. Will be greatly disappointed if UCLA doesn't win it all obviously but at the end of the day only 1 team takes home the trophy. Doesn't mean Arizona didn't have a great season and isn't a great team because they are.

...and you're right, they're all winners at this point, nothing to feel ashamed about losing. I feel sorry for Michigan, that was a great game yesterday, it was anybody's to win.

BEAUTIFUL IQ by #14 on Arizona. 1:25 He kept an eye on his man but knew his teammate was being backed down by a taller stronger Xavier player. Had his teammates' back and swatted the post shot away. Teaching this to my 7th graders!!!!

At 8:31 looked like Brian Anderson's voice box was gonna jump out of his mouth when calling the final moments of Xavier's upset win. lol. Gotta love Brian Anderson and his passionate voice he brings to college basketball. And C Webb as his partner is a pretty good combination as well. Great call at the end Brian!

Boy this turned out to be a double whammy for Sean Miller - with both Mark Few and Dana Altman making their first Final Four this year that leaves him pretty much all by himself in the "winningest coach not to make the Final Four" conversation now.

    • @otaviofrn_adv

Sean Miller always seems to have his name attached to irregularities lately. And always seems to escape unscratched. Looks like he have something on a lot of people. Maybe that's his punishment, not reaching the promised land of college hoops.
And, we have the ex law, as we call here in my homecountry. He was the HC of Xavier before his days in Arizona, right?

@@otaviofrn_adv Will Wade at LSU is another one - Wade even got suspended from the NCAA tournament in 2019 but kept his job - I'd never seen a coach keep his job after something like that. Yes, Miller was former HC of Xavier back in the 2000s.

Yeah, Gonzaga deserved zero credit for beating Arizona in a major recruiting area for the Wildcats program (Los Angeles) because they didn't have that punk Alonzo Trier who was nothing but a team disruption. He did nothing to help them against Buffalo the following year either. GU ended up annihilating this same Xavier team in the E-8. I got so sick and tired of hearing about the Trier excuse and that was why Zona deserved the #1 seed. GU was the #1 ranked team at kenpom.com - a top 20 team offensively, and the top ranked squad defensively. You can't fake the Pomeroy stats through strength of schedule. It's factored in. It's a performance metric. It's why they may have won the national title if Nigel Williams-Goss hadn't got hurt who was destroying UNC in the final minutes in the title game. Unlike Trier, Nigel was a major difference maker.

@@cameronclark3927 It would be hard for them to beat Gonzaga. If they did, they would eventually face North Carolina in the championship game.
And North Carolina is a team that thrives against opposing crowds historically, in the tournament.
At least two of their championships were on the "home" of opposition (57 against Kansas of Wilt Chamberlain in KC and 2009 against Michigan State in Detroit). And you can make a case for the 2005 title too, against Illinois in St. Louis (Illinois has a ton of alumni in the area)
