    That is my grandfather's farm truck, or pretty darn close. No stake bed on his, but the blue, the white wheels and bumpers, the weathering, all bringing back crazy memories. It was one of the first vehicles I drove when I was about 12. I had to follow my Dad, who was driving a John Deere 4450 many times so we'd have a non-tractor vehicle to run back and forth between the house and the field.

    Love how this thing is looking. The extra 2 weeks gives you some time to pretty up the engine bay now. Can't wait to see the finished product.

    If it's grandpa's truck, it's gonna need a bug guard, after market full side steps and cab lights...😄

    This looks sharp. I like the hub caps that thread onto the axle stub that sticks out, Instead of slipping onto the nut. I know that's not always an option, but on my trx4 I got extended stub shafts so the threads would poke through the wheel a little more. They look so legit, and don't fall off as frequently. I wish rc4wd would sell just the trim rings for the rally wheels... I've been debating putting them in a press and pushing the center deeper into the wheel(so I don't loose the detail from flipping them around backwards......)

    Some of those center caps had black D shaped divots

    Also, those trapezoid shapes on the hub caps should be painted black, that's what it's missing.

    Do you ever paint the gutter that is above and behind doors? They're usually chrome

    I agree with you those caps do not go with those rims

  • @davidbanaszak562
    @davidbanaszak562 Před měsícem +1

    The hub caps don’t go with the rest of the truck.. they clash, can you do some in rusty white to match the rest of the trim?

  • @TheUncleRuckus
    @TheUncleRuckus Před měsícem +1

    The caps themselves look cool but I'm not really feeling the way they look on the rims. Seems like there's too much of a gap between the rim and the edge of the cap or maybe it's just out too far I can't tell. Something just seem off.
    Truck would look sick made up the truck from The Fall Guy TV show or with one of those light bars that mount on the cabs roof. 👍👍

    Ok i need help maybe you can help you have seen more products then most in my area im doing a build on a scx10 .2 6x6 probably the wrong platform to do project off of looking for a suspension idea for rear end that goes no higher then the frame rail so most likely heavy leaf springs /conversion any suggestions to use rear end of truck will be carrying the old red tonka tow truck rear end with the 2 tow arms flat to the rails its is a heavy rear end so yes hella heavy so looking for a axle / leaf conversion ideas

    • @RCeveryday
      @RCeveryday  Před měsícem +1

      I don’t think anyone makes a leaf conversion direct for those chassis any more. But any leaf springs will work, you might have to drill holes in the rails to bolt on the shackles and hangers.

    I hate to be that guy but your gun is wrong side up in the rack. Trust me on this I hauled one around in my Ranger all through high school and until crack heads became a thing.

      I went to Cass High in Cartersville and we all had trucks and guns in the parking lot. No one ever got shot or felt uncomfortable. The best time to grow up was the 80’s
