Good looking truck. Thank you for the great informative video. 👍👍
Think we need more of the 4runner and Extra cab😂🤪
The jacks in the square bodies were black, they mounted on the passenger inner fender well. That truck definitely needs a chrome double bar roll bar and a brush guard on the front with kc lites.
the ol Chevy always had a fan on the firewall if it had AC then the big housing that held the evaporator core with the condenser can would be on the firewall as well as a condenser core behind the radiator in front of the engine fan :) I believe the heater core is actually in the cab behind the glove box :)
For tiny drill bits I use an X-acto handle as a pin vice , I don't drill tiny holes in metal so ... and some knock off X-acto handles have a plastic (Collet/clamp) that actually grip drill bits rather nicely :)
With the twin carbs and velocity stacks out the hood, I'm thinking you need a chrome double hoop rollbar. Truck looks good.
Hey Josh looking good dude! 🍻 Here is a little tip for threads, use a little paraffin wax or candle wax on the screw threads makes it screw in with ease! ✌🏼out! From Cedar Creek TEJAS!
Totally 100% looks like the ac compressor is close to the right size. They used a gigantic compressor on my 76 454 truck.
Didn't Chevy have an awful teal around that time. Might be fun to weather a teal truck. Your videos are a great source of inspiration for me. And, that's tough to find. Take care.
You don't need to do anything if you don't want the a/c. The heater core is in the cab with the 2 tubes exiting into the engine compartment.
Put in two of the scale engine bays , boy that was fun and pretty much did what you have done , looks good ,one on the truck and the other on the blaser is a little bit different, look forward to seeing your trucks at beat the creek.
The AC compressor on the older squarebodies are about the size of uh-...a large artillery shell? a small keg? My mom's 1990 Suburban uses a later, larger around but shorter compressor mounted to the
opposite side similar to the post 88 'Sliverado' trucks.
The stock tools/jack go on the passenger side fender well rather awkwardly almost exactly as seen on the kit here, they're all just painted black and don't really stand out at all.
The silver tube thing is the Dryer, which takes all the excess moisture out. If your AC feels swampy, a new dryer can usually fix that! As for the little round thing that goes on the Evaporator box, I'm not sure, it isn't a feature on the newer AC systems from what I can tell.
The heater core is located inside the cab behind the dash, the big ol' box in the engine bay has the evaporator which is the part that makes the coldness while the condenser is mounted to the radiator, either in front of or behind it depending on model year and I think if it has the towing package radiator.
I learned these random facts by helping my father completely rebuild the air conditioning in my mom's 1990 Suburban. Thankfully K10 pickups don't need the special compressor to run the rear air conditioning evaporator!
Overall? I'd say this detail kit makes the engine bay look very realistic! It's an absolute disaster of hoses n' lines like any good GM product!
Fantastic.
Looks great👍👍👏👏🛻🛻
Needs some truck nuts now, lol. Paint them flesh color, lol
My dad has shown me take some type of like Grease put it on the part that you want to drill a hole for touch it to where you want the holes drilled pull it off straight off and it'll leave a little bit of Grease right there and you can see exactly where you need to drill your holes
For the drill bit, Lowes has the drill bit chuck you can swap out. And the bigger dremels have a speed settings. You can also get an attachment that makes the handle smaller.
Love it! 🤘🏻
Killer progress!
I messed with a lot of the smaller scale 24 scale RCS and they all use a lot of M 1.4 and it takes a 0.50 which I use in my pee
👍👍
A/C compressor!?!? We can’t be losing 3-4hp for A/C! 😜
You're making if awful difficult for me to not justify spending a lot of money on this. 😁
Omg….zzz…. you have a tunnel ram on that I feel like I missed a video……….
Has anyone tried the gold aluminium engine in that engine bay?
What about adding aluminium ducting tape to the windowtrim and polish it a bit? That would look amazing on this thing i think :D Love the stacks/funnels thru the hood!
Would you consider selling the blue Chevy shop truck very interested
