This is getting updated, called G-5600UE-1JF. It will have:
Full auto LED backlight
• Adjustable 1.5 or 3 second afterglow for light (versus 1.5 second non-adjustable afterglow on module 3159)
• Current time display in stopwatch and countdown timer mode
• 24-hour countdown timer is settable in units of seconds and not only hours and minutes
• Adjustable date format (M.DD or DD.M) and adjustable day of week language (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian)
• Quick return to timekeeping mode by holding down Mode (C) button for more than 1 second
• Home city time and world time display swap in world time mode by pressing the top two buttons (A and B) at the same time
• 5 world time settings (48 cities), 31 time zones, the additional 2 time zones are for the cities of Fernando de Noronha (-2) and Kathmandu (+5.75)
just got it yesterday and it already is out of stock in my area.
I lost my original and just received a new one from my wife and I noticed I can now change the date to UK/Australia format. Some nice new features.
Today I recieved this updated version from Amazon...its pretty good...

The lack of radio timekeeping function is not a problem where I live, being unavailable
I keep my watch 5-10 min “fast” anyway just in case
Considering quatz watches barely error 15 seconds per month, Manually changing the time once a year is no big deal
I have access to it in North America, but it only connects about half the time and it’s a quartz watch. Plus or -15/2 a month. So it might be a minute slow in four months for a minute fast in four months. It’s pretty easy to reset that once every few months.

How long time does it take to charge its battery?

I am trying to get the power indicator move off medium. Plenty of time in the sun, but it is there to stay. Not using light or alarms (or hourly beeping). Power saving is on. What am I doing wrong?
Not very sure, it could be that the battery isn't retaining it's charge well

Can I still use a battery with the solar one and is there like something I have to replace always like a solar battery?
Basically there is a battery in there that is charged via solar panels embedded in the dial. I can’t remember the battery’s lifespan but i think its 10 years

No man, I don't think so any other watch brand can compete with g shocks in term of toughness & rough use. G shocks are the best. I own 4 G shocks

G-shock is susceptible to resin crumbling in tropical weather like mine did.
I think definitely to a certain extent. But not for at least a couple of years. I'm from Malaysia and I know plenty who have had theirs for like a decade.
it band is made up of rubber. so comparing to resin it has high durability?

E is non solar only with battery
Bro both are solar
Just the e is an older version
@@ChinmayKar-wd1cjwrong. Both are solar. But ue has better module that allows you to check time while in stopwatch and timer mode. Also the light is led on ue.

I have g5600e-1DR. It's ıdentıcal wıth your watch but loom ıs way brıghter. It's module ıs 3160. I am actually quite surprısed that your watch's lıght ıs dim.
Actually it's quite bright. Maybe my camera couldn't capture it right
I just bought my 1st Gshock after 20yrs i've heard about them.. I bought it fr shopee.. It's the cheapest i guess haha.. The model is Dw56001 e.. Then i noticed something weird.. The box wear the date sits is not straight or crooked haha.. I was thinking maybe mine was defect.. Then i looked on the reviews of same models, they do have same defect like mine.. Maybe just this model.. Not good lah QC 😂😂

On this piece, the bottom 'T' line isn't straight either. I agree that the qc is a little off. But I don't notice during everyday use. And at this price, boleh lah haha
@@adrianchoo337 right bro.. It's the cheapest among the gshock models so they're not focusing on quality but quantity.. I've seen old models belong to family members.. I wonder if they still have them..

Just bought this watch and couldn't be any more disappointed. I hate it. Not because it's not a good watch, or it doesn't do what it says, but it's so much smaller than I expected after watching so many reviews. I really get caught out by the use of macro lenses used by watch reviewers. These square G-Shocks are very small on the wrist. And I can hardly see the writing on the face - it's like microfiche writing - you seriously need a magnifying glass to read it. And the numbers are much smaller than those on my W-218H. I bought this because it has the auto-light function for when I'm playing sport at night time, but I reckon I'll sell it and just stick to the W-218H, so much easier to read.

That's definitely larger than usual. I guess you need a custom strap and most probably a bigger G-shock would look better as well.
@@adrianchoo337 I have the DW5600 and friends say it looks so feminine in my hand.. But still it's the original design, and I love it.. I close it on the second hole from the end, I only have one hole to spare 😂😂

Yes. some Gshocks have white light and they are genuine
