- To access LCD diagnostic mode:
In timekeeping mode, press buttons (A), (C) and (D) simultaneously
All segments of the LCD display will activate
Press (D) to cycle through display test modes
Last screen will show Casio module number
Press any button to return to normal
To access the tilt-sensor diagnostic screen:
In timekeeping mode, press buttons (A), (B) and (C) simultaneously
The screen will display TLT
The display will show '8888' when the sensor is activated
Press any button to return to normal

The display will show '8888' when the solar cell is receiving light
Press any button to return to normal
To turn on power saving mode:
In time-keeping mode, hold down button (A) until the city code starts to flash
Press (C) nine times until power settings screen appears (will display PS)
Press (D) to toggle on or off
Press (A) again to set and exit
To turn on auto-illumination:
Hold down button (B) for 3 seconds
The wording "A. El" will appear on the dial if successful
Hold down button (B) for 3 seconds to manually disable, otherwise it will self-disable after 6 hours.

For checking solar sensor you need to completely cover the watch face with your hand for couple of seconds.Once you remove your hand then you will see 8888 appearing.

Are you kidding me? 20BAR WR isn't for deep diving....??? All gshock were pressure tested and i cam assure u, they are resistant up to 700m of water depth...
Thank you for this video. Although my watch is a slightly different model, all of these test functions worked. I never knew my watch had these diagnostic features.

I recently bought mine and it arrived with the battery on 'm'.
Ive had it open in the room and even placed it in direct sunlight for 10 minutes. It changed to 'h' , however after 10 minutes it returned to 'm'.
Is this normal?

It is in the g shock that have radio timekeeping. When it receives time signals properly it shows RCVD meaning "received"
How is the viewing angle? I have recently bought gw5600 UE and from 6 o clock slant position only 8888is visible.

Do you know how to make the RECEIVED notification disappear on Multi Band 6? It stays on all the time, well after syncing to the Atomic Clock. Also, my battery always stays at M. My other Multi Band 6 stays at H. Any thoughts? Thank you.

clasp might be made in china...casio has many production units and accessory supplier....not everything maybe made under one roof perhaps

You need to check that model....if it's not available then the segment has been disabled
They use the same panel even there is no function.

Maybe they are mix and matching module and casebacks. Do mail Casio for clarification
Mine also says that but it must be the same model but a module with a different production date or perhaps they are the ones that ship to the West. In addition, mine also says Tahilandia on the case but China on the strap.
I would not worry since everything since all the functions are perfect and I bought it from an official distributor.

Different 5600 have different features. 5600 series is a vast range with different modules and functions

my casio g shock 5600 UE battery level is kind of stuck "M" Even after I keep the watch in sun light for 2 days its kind of stuck there. Is there any way to reset or solve the issue?

Auto illuminator means light will glow when tilted 40 or more then 40 degree from horizontal...it does not mean that it will glow automaticaly in dark as you are trying to to do.

@@timeloupe bhai you were right...auto light glows only when there ks very low light or dark room..if auto light is on then it wont work in daylight.

Obviously this watch is for deep divers too, becasue nobody is going to dive for more than 200 metres of depth which is unthinkable.

Different numbering for different modules and stuff with almost similar functions...
Dw 5600 fire fox is better option. It has blinking hourly and alarm sensor.
Personally bought the solar powered version of casio G-Shock DW 5600 watch...
Utterly disappointed with brand Casio G-Shock!
Just after 3 or 4 months of normal usage ( No swimming, No Diving, No Extreme water Sports, No Surfing) it developed fog and water vapour inside the glass disrupting the time view.
I went to the Casio Service centre but the service center people bluntly told me that there was no option for replacement. They also shamelessly told me that their watches are water resistant and not water proof. They said they never claim that their watches are water proof in their advertising also. They simply changed some parts and dried the fog or water vapour inside AND after a few months the fog and water vapour inside the glass RETURNED. What a Waste. 👎
Had it been the case of putting the watch under extreme conditions , it is understandable, but the refusal to replace the watch under normal conditions seemed callous and unprofessional on part of Casio. Utterly disappointed by such a big brand LIKE CASIO AND G-SHOCK with big & HOLLOW claims! 😒
