Yes, Casio undersells their battery life to push their solar models. These standard 5600 models keep going. No solar needed.

Just ordered this watch today. Comes on Friday. I love watches with countdown timers (for workout and meditation purposes), as well as negative screens and for them to not be bulky. I do hope this will be my favorite watch.

@@rahulbishnoi3901 it fit very well. It goes so well with a black on black outfit ESPECIALLY with a leather jacket. The light is very bright. The size is great (I don’t like bulky watches). My ONLY complaint is the reset button. You need to use a tool to press that thing. Whenever you want to change the time or change the countdown timer it is damn near impossible to press that button without a tool.

@@rahulbishnoi3901 You can tell it is not anywhere near fragile as well. In my opinion it is very well built. I have also gotten some compliments about it especially when I have a leather jacket on. It just works so well with it

OBTW if you hold a Timex indigo button down till it, “FLASHES THEN U HAVE LONGER light on the watch. Times out longer then just pushing the button longer. The more U push the buttons they loosen up. Buying that G watch !!

There is a cloth strap variant that I think it suits better a sport watch because of the heat and sweat cuased by the rubber/polimer band
Buttons are not a big deal I think. Right, not possible to say the best buttons ever they are but you already don't use them so often. Highly recommended. My favourite g-shock as well.

Adjust
It's a great watch but the software could be made better. The adjust button should be normal height to easily reset the stopwatch and timer, and press and hold to set the time. There should be a way to silence it completely when you press the buttons. There should be a way to go back if you overshoot the numbers while setting it up. There should be night mode like Timex where if you hold down the light for a little, it goes in night mode and the light turns on when you press any of the buttons to operate the watch. And it should have 2 time zones. I understand it's the entry level but I thing it wouldn't cost them anything to implement this, if not for eroding their more expensive models sales...
Wow amazing idea but i think they know that too but as u know bussiness is a bussiness in time they will going to do that one at a time so ppl would buy another one then next updated watch ppl will buy again, i think it is a bussiness strategy? Idk. Hehe

Nice watch and nice review. I have a question. Can you change the date from American format (MM-DD) to European (DD-MM)? On most Casio watches you can't adjust the date to your preferences. This is really annoying. I wonder why that is. Technically it shouldn't be a problem at all to add this function. Considering the fact that most countries in the world use DD-MM this is even more mysterious. Do you know why?

@@bartok75 5600BB. The 5600BBN has white bright CASIO logo on the face, 5600BB has dark logo.

Another negative thing about it is that it doesn’t have atomic timekeeping and solar battery.
Why would that be a negative at this price range?
And even if we disregard the price, do you really need those two?
Casios are pretty accurate watches they don't really "need" atomic timekeeping and solar battery is just a bonus not something you "need". Is replacing a battery every 2-4 years really a problem to you? And btw, solar batteries may also need replacing after some time..

if you asking about hour beep - in alarm menu "sig". If asking in general about button beeping, there is no way in this one. This one has this function, where you can shut off all the beeps - czcams.com/video/LuleLjhzE3I/video.html
That "Adjust" button is a pain in the ass. Need to have decent fingernails. Otherwise good watch
But its good not to adjust some when you wont adjust any!

not really, you have to try really hard to scratch it. Bezel protects it rather well.
