It's Gans III, gans 357 and gans 356, they started using 'gan' without s since the Air.
+HaveGotToGitGud After speak with Gan himself it seems that "Gans" was just a misinterpretation of it being "Gan's" in the same way as "Rubik's". Only recently have people caught on.
I see no apostrophe in Gans Puzzle, however I do see an apostrophe in Rubik's. Nonetheless, thank you for clarifying
+HaveGotToGitGud Ya. It's confusing and I called them all Gans for a long time but straight from Gan himself he told me it's always suppose to be Gan.

Yeah the 356 Air Master is the best, it's my main with the GTS2M and I average low 11 secs.

+backflipz_ 4_dayz Magnets help. I felt the v2 is quieter than the air and when I talked with Gan himself he said that too but many people feel the Air is quieter. Any can be smooth with added lube.
I have a gan air right now (which I absolutely love) but my nails keep getting stuck under the pieces while I'm solving which I can't stand. Is it worst the price to get a gan UM? I've never used a magnetic cube before and I'm curious if it's actually better. So should I get the UM or just some super glue and fix this issue myself?
+Positronnn some people like magnetic puzzle some people hate them. It's just a matter of preference. If the issue is the cap coming up you can glue it or just get a regular Ultimate

+AlyssaTheCuber There is no best. I today used the UM, the 356s v1 and the 357 Ultimate and got pretty much the exact same times. More people use the UM because its newest.
Which one is the most buttery smooth? I tend to prefer feeling to corner cutting
Are all pretty smooth. The 356s v2 has the thickest plastic and might feel the most solid
Would it be possible to make the U into a DIY UM? I know the pieces are glued together but I like a specific strength in my cubes and don't like most factory magnets.
+IamSpeedcubing you would have to somehow pry off the glued pieces which I do not recommend

There is a standard edition of GAN Air. It has the flourescent stickers but not all the GES springs.
+Soham Chougule That is the advanced. There is a standard but it's the dull older stickers

What kind of magnets do gan air u uses? I mean the size and also the strength. maybe 4x2 N35?...
+pang sam that is the size I used in my homemade one. These feel a bit stronger but it's really hard to tell since the ultimate edition has plastic and weight removed
Are gan standard,master and grand master are same in functioning . (Just their no of springs in each edition are different)

Guys, what do you think? Is it worth upgrading from GAN 356s V2 Advanced to Gan 356 Air Master? I'm not a fast cuber (AVG 20 sec.), but I'd like to practice finger tricks more, with a better cube.
+Leonardo Gualandris 1st. TheAdvanced/Master/GrandMaster/Standard are al the exact same ouzzle from each series. You can have sub5 second solves with the 356s v2 or the Air. The Air is more stable and lighter while the v2 is more flexible.

There is NO best. You may like it with out any lube, or with a TON of heavy lube, or with some cosmic lube from SpeedCubeShop. It’s all however you want the feeling changed.
I have a gans cube that is the first original 3x3 that they made back in 2011 and I used to have there second produced 3x3. I wish I still had that Gans2 3x3 cause it's now a very rare cube along with the original gans 3x3.

Can anyone tell me the difference bewtween the GAN 356 air and the GAN 356 air master? (Because the way you said it wasn’t clear, and was mumbled)
Master is the exact same cube. You just get a few extra springs and stickers. There is no difference between the standard, advanced, master, and grandmaster edition as far as the cube goes.
SpeedCubeReview what do you mean different springs, because both have red, orange, clear, and yellow? And do you mean full brights instead of half brights?
Full bright has brighter/fluorescent red and blue. The original Air didn’t have the GES springs, but instead just different springs. The standard and Advanced only had one set. Master had 4, and Grand Master had 7

+gabrielle cortes I used 4x2 N35 in my WeiPo. I used 3x1.5 N42 in my GuoGuan and KungFu. The Cubicle one I felt of the GuoGuan was much stronger than that.

SKrate Technically yes, but the pieces are glued together on the UM, and prying them off would be quite risky.

I just got the x-man galaxy. I thought the x-man design logo looked familiar. I just realized the colored logo is similar to yours. It has an X on the top in blue, an M on the left in red, and a D on the right in yellow

is the gans 3 a good cube though? i know um is great but you never really went over the 3 much
It's very light and flexible. You can get sub-10 second times on it for sure but it's not something that many people might like because of it's very flexible feeling.
SpeedCubeReview since its felxible, does it easily pop or is it stable?
Stability does not refer to how much it can pop for me but just how much it flexes. So something like a TangLong is more stable. ANY cube can pop but there is no modern cube that should do that on reasonable tensions. It's just a small, very light, and very flexible cube.

The “advanced is not a cube but a model of one. The Air is more stable and lighter. The v2 is more flexible.

I already have a video on that. Gan has not said any release dates at this point for any other puzzles.

+LolaBunnyButt That was the common way of saying it for years. It's only recently that Gan himself has been on Facebook and websites stating it is GanCube. Saying "Gans 357" is still a common way of saying it and could be interpreted as "Gan's 357"
