I've been cubing on the Valk Mini for a few weeks now. I bought it since I magnetize my Valk and wanted an electronic safe 3x3 that fits in my pocket. It is the bees knees. It is a Valk, just small. It got me back into 3x3 and has cubies the size of QiYi's 4x4.
Cube companies really need to stop with the world record cube sizes/prices and etc. It was funny the first time but now it's kinda getting old. Like seriously, the Gans Air UM Max Park is priced at $46.39 and the UM used to be $47.37 based off of Feliks' wr single. And also the original Valk 3 was 55.5 mm, and now this. Come on, it's getting old.
Tim_y_the_cuber_guy You don't have to buy the cube if you don't want to. Also with the pricing thing, the UM and Max Park UM probably would have been 49.99, had they not priced it based on the records. So in a way, the decision to price the cubes based off of records made it slightly cheaper
I think the size of the Valk was fun and it brought something new and overall beneficial to the community, but the whole pricing/sizing off of records got out of hand (47.3 mm is way too small, even for OH; and of course it led to GAN puzzles being even MORE ridiculous in price)

No, it doesn't stand for anything. Superspeed Magneto was one of the multiple joke names GAN released. GAN explains it himself in a video call 'Gan talks about the SM'. The 'S' means GAN356 AirS M like iPhone 6S, and then the 'M' for magnetic.
My_Butt_is_Small_But_I_Got_Passion You don't need OLL, and F2L is easy to get used to. Just learn intuitive F2L, then practice for a day with F2L. You'll be ~5 seconds slower for a week, but improvement will be much quicker afterwards.

Boron treated will never be mass produced. Chris Tran stopped working on it and is finishing up the polymer project instead as it works more consistently and has a similar effect
Kinda drifted out of the hobby about 1&1/2 years ago, so much has changed! Since when were there cubes of this price? The best cubes on the market used to be $15-$20. Pretty interesting. Still love the content to this day!

@GlacialBeet I did say that I'm not a speedcuber but I'm very experienced at solving all kinds of cubes which is why I refer to myself as an intermediate cuber. I'm just not interested in speedcubing. This comment was 3 years ago and I now own a Gan and I love it! I just wish they were cheaper so I could add more of their puzzles to my collection.

Sm isn't an updated um. The um had all the screws removed to further reduce weight but the sm clearly has the screws. So it's an updated stock air.

Jack Plays busy learning cfop method. It's a pain🙃😂 but I still use beginners method to solve f2l. Only oll and pll that's new to me.
