It's just 2 months before my parents divorced and we were going out and I see that my mom and dad both sort of knew that this wouldn't work out and I can feel it in the air. But they never had an argument in the car during that night and both of them was enjoying each others company but with the knowledge that this will be their last moment together that they will enjoy and I was a spectator of that happening with this blasting through my earphones during a rainy Friday night.     " I am quoting a review from the time (1842) of the release of the composition;
    - "Like Piano Sonata No. 2, Chopin makes us sink into illusion like disillusion. As transfinite and continuous, he continues to move us without really conveying to us the true meaning of his work. Is it a challenge that the composer dares to launch for ourselves, or his health problems which guide him towards dark paths.[...] I am convinced that this time, the Master has succeeded in raising doubts about his real motivations. It is up to each one to define what Chopin gives us, [...] the future will bring as many questions as answers around this composer who continues to move imperturbably the clubs of Master of the Piano."
    One could not hope for better as a masterwork of music to define the end of V. "

    I think this song was a perfect choice for this part of the game. It always goes back to C over F flat, a very low, minor chorded note. There are some parts where it goes into the major key, and takes on a happier aspect, but it always goes back to C over F flat. Although there is a happier ending part, perhaps representative of the scenarios where V is able to find happiness.
    *Spoilers from here on*
    I think the C over F flat chord represents Arasaka, no matter what V does he has to go back to Arasaka, first he must go to a member of the Arasaka family, then he must go to Arasaka tower, always returning back to Arasaka. The C over F flat represents fate, and V’s requires him to go back to Arasaka.

    • @jakobdixon4021
      @jakobdixon4021 Před 2 lety +1

      Why are you saying C over f flat? It's just a C Major 7 chord. All it is is the dominant 7th of F minor. The note "f flat" is written as e natural not f flat because the piece is in f harmonic minor, and therefore the 7th is raised so that the 5th chord is major. So the chord is just a dominant 7th or C major 7.

    Шопен любимый композитор после фильма "Осенняя соната" Бергмана... С классиками, особенно с такими, как Шопен, надо поступать бережно, чтобы не опошлить, и даже, надо признать, в каком-то роде не маргинализировать, не порочить высокое искусство. Когда разработчик компьютерной игры, да без разницы, любой "творец" разного качества и категории принимается за включение той же Ноктюрны Шопена в своё произведение, замысел, не важно какой, это ответственность. Мне не нравится киберпанк, как жанр фантастики, хоть он и был первым жанром "панка"; имеются вопросы и к самой игре. Объективно, мало эстетических моментов. Пострелушка. Я был приятно удивлён Clair de Lune в апартаментах Паралезов, а тут и вовсе потерял дар речи. Мне жаль, что такое упомрачительное действо спрятано перед самым финалом. Как срежиссированно... Роскошное убранство помещения, близкое к стилю ар-деко, тишина, без возни, практических без раздражающих NPC. Разумеется, Шопен, хоть и не в записи Рубинштейна, но играет прелестная Ханако-сам. Уж какой символизм вплели тут разработчики мне и не стоит растекаться. Браво...
