That helmet is amazing I wish I had money to make one.
The visor is only $17 and you can get some foam board to make the rest of the helmet which is really cheap. If you are a kid like me, you can just ask your parents.
7 years later... this face visor is still available. Just ordered one. (Its for a badass electric skateboard cyberpunk helmet outfit to cruise around in and inspire kids imagination... lol)

Anyone else making these face shields? The amazon link says they are unavailable and they dont know when they will be again.
Just a tip for everyone. If you back light it you will be able to see through it from the outside. this would show your face and gives a cool affect.

Hey, what brand of crystal clear spray paint did you use to seal it? I brushed on a gloss coat on one I got and the metallic coating started to rust away kind of, now its all blotchy
check the feedback on masks. I bought one and got it today. no chrome on it at all. just a bit of plastic with that shape. Am trying to make a cobra commander helmet.

Has anyone tested these masks with heat? I need a specific shape and curious if slightly heating it would ruin the face shield.
i tried alclad airbrush and they worked well as well
I got one! But i want to remove the chrome paint, how do i do this without damaging the plastic or the clarity of the plastic?

Can someone give me some guidance on the best way Mount/attach the chrome mask in this video to evil Ted's stock pattern from his website. I want to build something similar. As close as I can anyway.

hey guys! i was thinking about cosplaying Ana's Shrike costume from overwatch. Ive been stuck on her mask for the longest time. Now that i know where to buy the chrome mask, i was wondering if there was a black transparent paint i could use that actually works. Also, how would i light up the mask without blocking my vision because there's a blue florescent triangle in the centre.
is that a neck piece if so i want to find out how to do it

Is there anyway to fix a crease in these visors from Amazon? I got mine and it was completely caved in from poor shipping. I managed to get it mostly back to shape but it still has various creases in places. One really bad one.
I need to make a TV screen for a costume I am making, would a one way mirror film+plexiglass work?

Good find on those Halloween masks, saw those I wanna say maybe 2 years ago and they're awesome. Though the title of the vid is slightly misleading, thought you were going to give a tutorial on replicating this effect on visors, not buying a cheap Halloween mask and using that. Have you two or anyone else in the community found ways of replicating it?
Yeah same I want a white mask so I was wondering if I could buy a chrome one and use some kind of paint to make it white and if so with what paint?
Some people use mirror spray paint but from a distance so that it doesnt fully coat the mask or visor & is still visible. Sadly, there are no other options for a spherical mirrored tint. If you had a flatter surface and wanted to use a mirrored cling film, that works! Found out the hard way that my helmet is too spherical for tinted film sheets. And then if you wanted a black tint, you can dye or use car windoe film as well. But for a spherical shape, this visor or a light coat of spray paint is really the only thing that would work

I would NOT recommend making your own head and face protection for paintball from scratch. Buy something that is safety rated to take that kind of impact.

@punishedprops auto tint works amazing and comes in every color
+Punished Props I get it on amazon use Windex to allow it to slide on the visor surface for positioning then gently squeegee out the excess and trim to fit. I use thin plastic from 2 or 3 liter bottles if I'm being cheap or the really nice plastic from hobby town bout $2-$5 for a 8.5x11 depending on the thickness that also comes in a variety of colors.

I just ordered that same mask. I wanted to ask, if you clear coat it as you mentioned. Wouldn’t that make it dull and not shinny as it was out the box?
If you use a gloss clear coat it should be fine, but it'as always worth doing tests!

Well, I could not see the pattern for that helmet. Would that be part of the "Basic Helmet, Shoulder & Elbow Patterns - Combo"? The one showing there doe snot look at all as the one on this video. I guess I would need to add my own touch(?), not sure, just checking, thanks!

Is it possible to get these in a red visor? Instead of the silvery chrome c:
+Perix Mix little bit red into lacker and it should turn it to red chrome. More you add more red it becomes, but also its harder to see trough.

One question can you put sharpie on the mask without getting it smudged off
It would if you seal it. Personally I'd make a stencil and spray paint it on(depending on size and detail) and then seal with clear varnish.

Ted's builds are legend. I especially loved this chrome helmet build on his twitch stream. I'd love to be able to do one myself, unfortunately however the chrome visors are not available in the UK.

I couldn't find any, but I did find some reflective one way sheets. They give the same effect but just need to be applied to something, e.g plexiglass. They also do a huge range of colours c:
Hey guys! So I got these visors and they look great! Until I put my sealant on. Is there a cartoon brand your using? Mine seem to be unseeable in anything but the brightest light possible outside. Maybe I’m laying my spray paint in too thick?

I know this video is from 3 years ago and you guys probably won't see it but I'm still going to ask. Do you know of any way you could change the color of the Chrome visor. I'm thinking of making a the helmet from code geass and the from is one way but it's like a purpuleish blue color. Is there anyway if I were to buy the Chrome mask to change it's color?

Do you guys think using a red morph suit mask over the Silver faceless mask would work as the Red Hood helmet from Arkham knight?
If you're planning on stretching fabric over the visor, that may work. It's worth bringing the visor to a fabric store and testing out stretching red fabrics over the visor and, while holding the fabric in place, looking through the combination for visibility. I believe that's how they made the season of Power Rangers' helmets when the visors were colored, but they had the fabric on the inside of the visor.
