The clear I use is a 2 pack clear that cures fast, bought from a local paint shop.
Give their 2pack clear and topcoat a test and see how it sprays for you. I Just found a better clear for what im doing.
Im spraying at around 60psi. I do have an extra water trap attached to the spray gun so I do not get ant inline water or oil spits ( learnt that from my last batch of visors.
deionized or demineralized water was purchase at the local food shop.

Great stuff man
That silver sealer is just an Oxidant so that the water beads enable you to dry it quicker ;-) Good job, well done. I do Hydrochrome myself.
This is brilliant, man! Where'd you order the Hydrochrome kit from?
Perfect
What kit are you using, i’m thinking of getting one in the future
If you’re doing a black visor do you use a black candy concentrate or do you just old school it and dye it in a hot bath?
Hello sir what solution you use for hydrochrome?
How is your spray booth setup? Excellent video!
It is 1200mm x 1200mm x 800 deep with a 100mm channel at the backMade from galvanised steel for easy cleanup and 2 exhaust fans that suck air from the channel and through the vents at the back. The filters are just cleaning chucks. 2 led lights on both sides for best lighting all around the objects I am spraying. Still need to weld a hanging rack at the top but other then that it’s pretty simple metal box with fans and lights
Anyone know where I can get this hydrochroming coating package in the United States? I'm able to find the one he's using by searching "Spray On Chrome Metalizing Kit Spray Gun Spray Metal Plating" on ebay but I'm only finding just the one from Australia, can't ship over here.
I'm wanting to do a reflective red visor for a project I'm working on, and wondering if reflective window film would be a decent substitute for the dying process (the mask I have is premade, and I plan on modding it, but it already has a clear visor).
I'm actually doing a similar thing for a red hood costume, keep in mind the window tint is designed to be applied on the inside, so if you've got bumps and ridges in the inside, it'll be super difficult and won't look good. Unfortunately for me the Acrylic clear parts of the mask I bought are dyed transparent black, so I can't even use the window tint I bought on the inside
Do you sell the visors. That would look nice on my helmet
Is it possible to buy 3 of these visors from you?
im sorry brother
Hello. In which country are you located?
💪
Awesome work man! Is this one for my helmet?
Yup 👍
Can you see through the finished product?
Yes
