I'm 22. I own a 2003 Corvette. They aren't that expensive really, I financed mine for 14,500 before outrageous interest because I'm so young. Most cars cars way more than that.
But yes, people always assume I'm a dick, people hate I own the car, oh well. I bought it for me.
Do what you do, and not for others. If you buy the car to please or impress people, you're stupid. All people do is hate on somebody who has something nice.
It's pointless worrying about what people think! Their opinions don't mean sh*t to me! If you like something, just go for it! Their jealousy is just insecurity.

I'm 19 and when I tell people that I wanna start saving for a C6 vette, they look at me with that "yeah..okay keep dreaming" look. I don't even have a vette yet and I feel you on this statement lol. It's so weird how people misinterpret things like this!

Absolutely love this car, and will definitely strive to own one. To me it has the most badass exterior out there. And what really sells it to me with this guy is how he hasn't stopped smiling the whole time.

I rented this car today, it's fucking awesome. Sounds amazing and puts a smile on your face. I seriously got 10 different people in 3 hrs of driving around town complimenting me. Young girls and old ladies looking too.

YES!!! YES YES YES!!! Man you are so lucky to be able to drive a C7 Vette!! There like my number 1 (somewhat reasonable) dream car! When I found out that Chevy was redoing the Vette I was a little worried... But oh my GOODNESS they blew the C6 OUT OF THE WATER!! The C7 is just SOOO stunning to look at, I don't think there's any new car for this price that looks anywhere NEAR as gorgeous as this. And the interior is a massive upgrade too because the C6 didn't really have that great of interior... (I've sat in quite a few) And for a completely no clutch transmission the C7 shifts pretty quick. I feel like the clicking would get a little annoying but otherwise what a great car!

MakerOfAwesome Im sure whatever your comment was, it was stupid. If you're disagreeing that this is the performance bargain of the century, you're not only wrong, you're insane. This car has gotten better reviews than all of its competitors and Corvettes already have a long history of kicking ass and taking names. They have been the dominant racing team in the ALMS against Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, etc. And won every race(25) in 2007-2009. And these are the official manufacturer teams. Corvettes are amazing cars, and you can reliability modify them to thousands of horsepower. I have seen a street legal Corvette with 2700 horsepower do a 1/4 mile in 5.7 seconds.

Only complaint would have to be the manual shifting. I get that it's not a dual clutch, but it still could be a lot quicker.
Ya agreed. There are a lot of manufactures that use single clutch and get a much quicker shift.
You have to remember though that this car is a FULL automatic. It has a torque converter not a clutch. I do agree that they could definitely make the shifts quiker, but a regular auto will never be as any type of manual. :)
The Tameless Creeper But check out the ZF 8-speed unit in SRT cars and the F-type and other applications. It's the best truly automatic transmission yet. It shifts so fast that it's hard to tell if it is an automatic or a dual-clutch. This one that GM used for the corvette is kinda slow

this past summer i was lucky enough to go to the factory these are made in! it was pretty cool to see how they were made! i actually bought a corvette there unfortunately it was just a little hot wheels replica :(

Slash396 slash thats the fakest and gayest graph ive ever seen. there are many transmissions that shift in .1 u dumb fuck standard is around.2 or .3 for most supercars. chevys upshift was slow in this video because he is in sport mode so the computer sees that he is not at normal "sport upshift" RPMs because hhe wasnt revving it out for the next owner's sake. so the computer was cornfused. thats why when he was cruising it was much more responsive. since its an automatic the shifts are still somewhat controlled by a compooper.
Awesome car. One of the best looking cars to come out in recent years. I would never get that auto though. And for me, it needs to have the spoiler on the back. looks odd without the little spoiler to me. Great car. Great review.

I have watched whole a lot of C7 reviews while I save money for and dream of mine, and this is the best video I've come across. Why? Because you give a straight-forward, comprehensive review of the Stingray, not the Z51 or Z06. I like how you mention the base car is actually very practical and affordable, while being luxurious and so much fun. Please consider doing a new video with the base car and talk about improvements since 2015, and the interior trim options, like heated seats, etc. I'm considering the 2LT for the heated seats, and I love the 2018 Admiral Blue. I may put all-season tires and daily drive it. Thank you!

Chevy has been hitting a homerun with Corvettes for some time now so it's no surprise that this car is full of win. My favorite color for Corvettes, I had millennium yellow on my old C5. Got lots of looks! Although the A4 is nowhere near as good as this A6 LOL. I admit, I didn't like tail end at first but, it's grown on me and I like it now. It fits the whole car. Think you might get to drive a ZO6 next year?
Every single tester that drives the new Stingray always has that big smile they cannot stop from happening. Just wait until they start road testing the Z06 that's about 100lbs lighter and has a whopping 200hp and 195ftlbt more with optimum air flow and down force control from the new adjustable rear box wing that extends out side the body and has a center piece that's clear that you can raise or lower it 5" while also being able to lay it down on the faster courses with fast corners. The Z06 with the Z07 package has something no other American manufacturer and only a few of the Super Performance manufacturers like Koenigsegg, Pagani and first time ever front collector that extends 3" outside of the air dam and body, just like in real track only cars from Trans Am, Le Mans and other types of racing`
Not a big Chevy fan, but I would take the new ZO6 over any foreign sports car.

Because I was able to redline the RSX. I kept the rpms lower on this one since it was brand new. Also, some of the most fun cars I've driven have been some of the cheaper ones.

455 HP (stock) certainly sounds like a lot! Maybe not compared to Euro exotics, but it's definitely impressive in its price range and for how light the car is.

subaruwrxfan Your channel just seems to be the same things over and over again... nothing new... theirs the weekly updates than the reviews of cars... it gets boring after a while... Im going to make the obvious comparison to ThatDudeinBlues channel. I always go over to his channel because im always expecting something new. for example when he does cross country charity rallys, when he is doing life vlogs which are new and different each time, he brings in guests to the shows and vlogs. he also does things with people like the honda engine build. and than you just have the sheer quality of his videos. they are extremely professional. it looks like he has put some serious... serious effort into it... his music is always new and unique and fits videos... its more enjoyable to watch... and hes not afraid to try new things... like like him learning to ride motorcycle... not saying that your video quality is bad or anything... but in comparison... davids videos are more fun and enjoyable to watch... your videos seem to be the same all the time... you stand in front of the car give specs than drive and smile alot... which is not bad, but it gets repetitive. Mind you that i found your channel before davids.... i only learned about david when you did his cars review... at which point i started to stray towards his channel more... I am not a david fanboy at all... i watch alot of car related stuff on many channels. Also i personally thing your making a big mistake buying the ecoboost... i know this can be considered a personal choice. but if your gona buy a new car in hopes that people will enjoy watching the 2015 eco boost... i can tell you now... that the eco boost will get boring... you might as well go back to the BRZ... i would suggest to you a used 2011+ GT if you wanted a fun car... this is subjective... but i do know for a fact that buying a new car is not worth the money just because of the depreciation alone... spend your money a bit more wisely.

For example, you call a little laggy the c07 auto transmission and at the end the best auto transmission you ever drove. You joking? It's changing gear whenever it likes! It's terrible slow. I guess you don't want to burn the dealership hooking you with the car, trying to sell it but you have to be less forgiving imo if you want to be fair. B well!

***** You think it's half a second to shift? Why don't you do some research dude. It's literally THOUSANDTHS of a second. People that don't know shit about Corvettes don't need to comment. Go watch some of the engineering that went into the C7. You will be blown away. It's even mind blowing how advanced the C5 was for it's day. With a 6 speed manual, the 405hp Z06 would hit 60 in 3.9 seconds, and could lap the Nurburgring in less than 8 minutes.

How can you recommend it for people who "want joys of manual without clutch"? The clutch IS the joy of the manual. Take the clutch out of a G35 6MT and you basically removed what we love. The challenge and rewards of shifting which is not just moving the stick, it's the coordination with clutch. This is just and auto like any other.

Dodge challenger has cylinder deactivation, still does get anywhere near 30mpg.
TheCowGoesMoo o I have a charger r/t that gets around 28 mpg on the highway and that has a 5 speed auto, is more heavy, and less aerodynamic than the c7, so yes, I'd definitely say 30 mpg for the c7 is very possible, especially with the 8-speed.

really plastic paddles?....god im all for american cars and how they are finally competing with the rest of the world again but seriously....how have they not jumped on the wagon of "its all the little things" If I ever bought a brand new car like that and it had plastic paddles I would immediately not feel very good about the rest of the car. and it sounds like a pretty serious delay in those shifts...i know its an awesome car for the money...but yeah def comes short on a few things. and if it was a manual that wouldnt matter.
if i ever bought a car with plastic paddles, it would have aftermarket things in the interior. its cheap because they wanted a really good sports car u can get for the price

Really that's what your complaining about bmws have plastic radiators and plastic manifolds.
Some people just don't get it. This is a well made affordable performance car that will give most cars costing twice as much hell on a race track. The operative word here being affordable, yes you will find plastic bits here and there. But hell you can find plenty of plastic even in critical engine components on the German luxury cars. If a little plastic is going to deter you from buying or liking certain vehicles then maybe cars post 1958 just aren't for you.
I have an 03 vw GLI and the trunk latch on my car is built more heavy duty than the suspensions of most 10 year old american cars. making those paddles metal would add what to the cost of the car? idk 100 bucks per car tops maybe if u factor in sourcing and all the design and manufacturing involved. dont think its ruining the price point of this affordable super car.....if u read the whole comment u would see I state that its an amazing car for the money and competes with any other euro car out there easily for much less money...thats not the point of my comment...the point is the little things are what can really add a sense of quality to a car, doesnt have to add a ton of money either.

Great video! I realize this is older but definitely relevant for us used corvette shoppers. When you did the C6 Z06 review you compared it to the grand sport and how much lighter and more engaging the Z06 felt. How does that C6 Z06 compare to this 2015? Very comparable pricing for these now in the used market the Z06 actually much cheaper in some instances granted the car is 2-3 years older. Thanks!
