    You have that electoral college thing backwards. Without the electoral college, millions of people from small communities with low populations would not have their vote counting. The cities with the highest populations of voters would determine the elections. It’s a good thing and without it we would all be under control of leaders that are elected by only big cities with high populations of people who believe a certain way.

    • @randyblaukatintuitive
      @randyblaukatintuitive  Před 13 dny +1

      That is not true. The reality of the situation is the electoral college disenfranchises millions of people by not counting their vote. How would you like to live in one of the states where your vote is not counted simply because of the state you live in? States don’t vote people do.

    As someone who spent a significant portion of my 41 year military career dealing with senators, congressmen and other senior government officials I can tell you there is zero reason to stress about the. 2 poor choices we currently have. People should be focused on Congress, not the executive branch of the govt as that's where most of the rot --- and actual working power within the government resides. Simply stop voting for the incumbent and slowly things will change

I don't care what your politics is. You get you're one term and then you're out and back to the real world and get a job. Can you imagine how much work they could accomplish if they just focused on their job and not raising money and trying to do favors to get re elected? I urge all Americans just simply stop voting for the incumbent if you ever want to see any real change in our govt.

    I think the reason so many people get stressed out at election time, is they have not been paying enough attention to what are elected leaders have been doing. Apathy strengthens politicians power and dilutes the citizens power. Without getting political as Randy asked, I will say this about our political process. We need everyone to participate. Thanks Randy. You make some excellent points about bringing down our level of anxiety over the presidential election. Your point about electing people that have integrity, critical thinking skills, etc. is spot on and is something I get frustrated about. It seems there are more and more elected officials that are too focused on what is best for themselves instead of what's best for the country - a few of them don't even seem to be very literate and to me are an international embarrassment. I think there should be tests and expert panel interviews to weed out unqualified political candidates. These jobs are too important to let the wrong kind of people get on ballots and lead our country. It's probably easier to test IQ, history, geography, political science, economics, etc., but I'm not too sure about how to test for or interview for things like honesty, integrity, courage, etc. but those kinds of attributes are very important and seem to be becoming less and less common.

    Randy this is nothing personal against you and I think you’re a smart guy but this video is biased. You say you will delete any comments that promote or degrade a specific candidate but the first 5 minutes of your video it seems pretty obvious who you don’t like. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say you don’t like (former) President Trump. So if you delete this comment be honest with yourself and delete the first 5 minutes of your video where you talk about “populist candidates, and Twitter candidates “ as if we all don’t know who your referring to.
    Your stated mission is to get FFS/live imaging banned or severely limited in tournament competition which I’m on the fence of but leaning towards your stance. The only reason I’m not there yet is I want to spend some time using it myself to make sure I’m coming from a position of knowledge.
    In order to get the support you need; you are going to need people on both sides of the political isle. Fishing transcends all walks of life but if I had to guess I’d say more fishermen lean conservative then liberal.
    Secondly, (just because it irritated me), you’re comments in a previous video where you compared the grandmas to “testosterone fueled military special operations “ guys in your survival classes were both offensive and based on limited knowledge. And this is nothing against the grandmas because of course of your focus is on survival skills your going to be better at it then a SOF soldier who has multiple focuses. But I was a instructor at the primary army survival school and we DID NOT teach people to rely on their gear or be helpless without it. We took their gear. I attended prairie wolf primitive survival school with John McPherson and although I admit he had no “grandfather “ mentor whom I’ve heard possessed mystical powers; he did teach us bow drill fire, flint knapping, brain tanning and more earthly survival skills which we passed on to our students.
    Ideally when your trying to assemble support for a common and non political cause; your target audience should not be able to tell your affiliation from your public presentations. Why risk alienating half your perspective supporters? I would be willing to bet neither President Trump or President Biden know what FFS is. And label me a “hater” if you want but I’m not.

      I'm referring to long term survival skills. This is no way a slight on our military. Note the Silver Star in my tackle room...None of the active military that were in my school could identify the complexities of medicinal and edible plants like the herbalists. This skill alone would make the grandmas be able to survive long term. There is a difference between surviving a month in the wilderness vs.. permanently.

    • @matthewczerepak
      @matthewczerepak Před 13 dny +1

      I would not debate that. Even at our school the long time civilian instructor taught plants because it takes a long time to learn and military members don’t have time to learn that in the scope of their jobs with everything else. I was specifically referring to the comment about “take away their high tech gear and (I can’t remember exactly how you said it but the implication was they were helpless). I mean you we’re using it to illustrate the dudes in their early 20’s who can’t catch fish without high tech electronics so I’m not sure how to take that as not insulting. But for the record I don’t think your anti military or anything like that just outspoken and so am I so I’m gonna say something about a comment like that.
