He literally has used the program so often that he has all the color placement memorized and has intimate knowledge of hues and saturation. The only way it would be a real challenge is if he scrambled the colors and changed the hue so even in black and white they didn't look the same.

I think so far the only challenge he failed was the sculpting soap challenge. And that was not on his sculpting skill but rather the bloke tried to melt soap in the microwave.

As a colourblind artist, I spent a good few years to memorise the HSL of the colour wheel. Like knowing 150 H is green/teal and making it 40 S 70 L would give me a muted- but still light- sort of mint green. It’s weird because colouring is my favourite part because I read numbers and am proud of myself for knowing what colour it is.
This challenge seems fun- but can you imagine if artists with normal colour vision did it with a severe red/green colourblind filter on? That’d be so weird since you’d still be able to identify a colour, but not know what it really is

Me to I am colorblind to and I use watercolors ,but I just draw with one color that can be very dark and pigmented and can be very light.

I did a project involving dogs a while back. Dogs are actually NOT colour-blind. They just see faded versions of the colours we see. 🐶
They can see blue so I always get my dog a blue color because I heard that they can see blue on of the best
Dogs can see yellow, blue, and grayscale. They don’t see red or green, so what you said isn’t fully true. But yes, colors are a little faded for them.

JAZZA: please do this challenge again but don’t worry about color. If you just focus on the values in greyscale it creates a super cool effect. The colors are all psychedelic. I do this a lot with portrait painting

I'm going to paint in black and white but it's actually color, it's very difficult! Except I have all the colors memorized and won't be randomizing the wheel or color bar, and I also have a very strong grasp of values, complementary colors, and hue shifting.

Rebecca Kersh He means he only sees black and white while working in inverted colors, so when he's done with b&w it will be inverted, then he inverts it revealing wether or not it looks right in color.

Got so much nostalgia for the wizard of oz while watching this, I remember watching it for the first time as a kid and it was the first movie id ever seen in black and white but I got used to it looking like that pretty quick so when it switched to color it blew my little mind because I didn't know how they were cable of doing both black and white and color in the same movie.
