0:00 Intro
0:05 The technician said: "The car just came in for a dead battery. It has been sitting on his property for a while now. Water had made its way into the vehicle, most likely from the sunroof or them leaving the windows down. The customer did not want us to look into that issue only to replace the batteries." This vehicle has two batteries in the trunk. The left one is the main system's battery, whilst the right is the starter battery.
0:23 The air freshener on the shifter would engage the electric parking brake whenever the customer shifted into 2nd or 4th gear.
0:36 As mentioned, the thieves stole the muffler and resonators instead of the catalytic converters. Fortunately for the customer that will be a lot cheaper of a repair than having to pay for new catalytic converters.
0:58 This was on a technician's personal vehicle. He didn't say what the exact issue was to cause this but we've seen this in another episode when a vehicle had a broken steering shaft and it somehow caused the steering wheel to constantly spin when the vehicle was on.
1:06 These are a gimmick and don't actually help with fuel mileage. You can find them online, on Amazon, and on other websites. They claim to improve fuel mileage and all you have to do is plug it into your cigarette lighter. Definitely not worth it.
1:16 If the customer would have fixed the leaking water pump and coolant reservoir it would have been a lot cheaper of a fix considering they now need an engine and their hood repaired. A good reminder to fix a leak if you can right away and don't drive a vehicle that keeps overheating. The technician said the customer scrapped the vehicle as the repair costs were too high.
1:40 This noise was caused by the pressure relief valve/pop-off valve on the air compressor. The safety valve pops open to relieve excessive air pressure if the pressure switch fails to shut off the air compressor at the cut-out pressure setting. Replace the safety valve if it leaks or pops open at normal operating pressure.
1:55 I've seen this happen from battery terminals being very corroded and over time the corrosion eats away at the terminals and battery cables. Always important to clean corrosion as it can cause starting issues as well.
2:02 The technician thought it was quite an interesting center cap.
2:10 The technician who filmed this said this is actually pretty common to see with these VW buses. People will make them look good on the outside but it's poorly put together and then sold for a ridiculous price.
Look's like somebody tried to do some body work on the front end to maybe try and hide some rust.
2:38 This was on a Chevy Colorado that a customer bought two months ago. The technician said he didn't see any signs of food left in the vehicle or anything else that could have caused this to happen.
2:52 The person who filmed this said: "We were attempting to empty our oil tank for the first time since we noticed it had been getting pretty full. We turned the air hose on and connected it to the tank that was supposed to pressurize it and push it out of a tube and into smaller containers. Instead, it came out of the top of the tank, and as you can see it got all over the place, including all over us.

“Customer states their truck sounds like a snare drum.”
That is the MOST accurate description I have ever heard XD
Came to say the same thing.
LOLOL I thought it was a audio track overlaid as a joke at first
"Sir, do I look like a musician? I don't know what a snake drum is..."
Agree hahahaha totally sounds like a snare drum
and not a bad beat either ;)
The superior rubber seals on Bentley's makes them perfect for hauling around rotten food, dead animals or neighbors, etc. But you have to remove the decaying items promptly, or you get to play the old 'Don't ask me about the mold' game for the next few years..
Got it, no food or corpses on the Bentley.
I was going to get one of those! I'll stick with my Grand Marquis.
Speaking from experience?
The mold is from leather and leather moisturizer. The car was probably parked for awhile. So the undisturbed bacteria in the leather turned to mold.
We regularly see that in Hong Kong. High heat, humid air and a couple of weeks parked will turn many leather-upholstered cars into a petri dish.
the one with the fuel saver made me crack up. i can't believe someone actually would believe something plugged into the 12v socket would help fuel economy.
And they expect you to believe it will work with every car ever made - as long as it has a cigarette lighter. 😂
As Bill Engvall would say "Here's Your Sign".
Exactly, it doesn't work that way, you need to toss it into the fuel tank.
I save money on those devices… by not buying them lol.
I also bet they have those extended warranties that some random person sold them over the phone.
Mythbusters tested a few of them, naturally all busted but some of the stuff was just wow levels of WTF. I think I remember one where they even had one that was a tube of water or something with electrodes and it was supposed to somehow generate enough hydrogen in real time to run your engine off of.
If people could always see through BS we would not have emails for male enhancement, people getting phished for their SSN, etc.
I had the same problem with my Fuel Shark, I was actually losing mileage until I figured out I had it plugged in backwards. Once I plugged it in the right way my fuel mileage doubled. 🙃
You're onto something!
I have an EV... does this mean that if I use it on my car, my battery range will double? 🤣
@@pomonabill220 no they only work on gas vehicles, another strike against EVs!
100% doubt your claims 🤓
You have to change your blinker fluid at the same time the Fuel Shark is installed or it won't work

If your steering wheel is spinning like that....is it doing anything else to other parts? BTW...I heard Bentleys are handcrafted masterpieces with custom "molded" interiors.
Nice and you will need a new clock spring if your steering wheel does that.

It's like a few fools who stole things from unlocked cars, then tried to pawn off a ring at the jeweler, who happened to recognize the ring as his girlfriend's. They didn't even go 1 mile away to try selling it.
I looked up that Fuel Shark "fuel saver" on Amazon and they sell them in a 2-pack for $9.99. The seller makes several claims; here's the first one: "Our auto fuel saver helps stabilize, increase power, accelerate engine-starting, increase brake sensitivity, improve engine efficiency and power performance."
The increased brake sensitivity is a nice bonus.
Shit I wished I had one in my 2015 Fit! The intake, exhaust, new rims and tires upgrade I did to it didn't help me enough because I was always speeding with it. It's a shame too because it cost me about $1,500 in upgrades! $10 bucks is a steal!
what happens if you don't have a cigarette lighter ??
need to report them as FRAUD
what's one more totally useless p.o.c. on Amazon. 90% is useless, but Amazon don't care, as long as morons buy it

Same lol
I like the fuel saver 😂 reminds me of a friend who had a wall plug installed in it's house that had just a small LED and was supposed to rescue his fuses in case of a lightning strike
What an idiot, everyone knows you're supposed to take the fuses out during a lightning storm so they don't blow. Same thing goes when using a high power tool on an extension lead, take the fuse out and replace it with a bit of thick solder wire to stop it tripping all the time 😂
Sounds like a misinterpretation of a gfi or arcfault plug, which are real things. Unless you mean some blinky light thing he bought and plugged in, in which case lol
@@Emily-lk1mf it was a blinky thing. We opened it up, it literally had just that LED inside
@@Kleiner_Lutz When it comes to scam products, having just an LED and the stuff to run it is the best-case scenario. There's a lot fewer ways it can mess things up.
The father covered in oil was hysterical. He looked confused. Daughter is laughing. Great relationship between them.
I love when thieves don't know what their looking for just because their trying to get a quick buck and leave the real money
Drug users using some Harbor Freight battery powered tools they shop lifted.
I just had a Jeep Cherokee come into my shop and the thieves stole the ENTIRE exhaust system! LOL
I would love to see the look on the scumbag's face when they told him they wouldn't give him anything for the muffler he stole.
They stole the catalytic converter from one of my vehicles and quite honestly I would have been happier if the jack had collapsed and I came out in the morning to found their dead body under the car. It would have been cheaper and easier for me and there would be no repeat offenses from them!
I love it when thieves get their head cracked by a lead pipe.
Pretty wholesome when they laughed and shared a memory instead of yelling and blaming each other in the last one.
The last clip with the laughter behind the camera. "I can't see, what happened? " you messed up big is what happened. Classic. Actually made me chuckle.
I've had gas and diesel fuel in my eyes, but used engine oil is another level. Ouch.
Haven't seen it before but I guess you can make a pretty solid judgment on people's general automotive knowledge if they have one of those 'plug-in fuel savers'. I wonder when they'll launch the even more practical Fuel saver 2.0 bracelet you can simply wear around your wrist when you drive.
Also who's willing to bet someone has that thing plugged into an EV hahah
Back in the day it was magnets on the fuel line.
I know someone who buys those kinds of gismos and believes in perpetual motion machines... i kept telling him that it's all impossible, but he doesn't believe me, that magnet around the fuel line MUST make molecules release more energy!... i gave up on it...
They make these for houses too. A lot are just empty boxes, but a few have a capacitor, which would theoretically be useful for power factor correction.
@@Mishotaki Have you heard about cutting a grove in the throttle body?

Most lubricated episode to date. The ending was an epic splash. 😄
Whoever came up with that fuel saver thing is genius. I wonder how many they sold?
I know a guy that bought one. He swore up and down he was getting better mileage with it. He wouldn't hear that plugging some device into a cigarette lighter wasn't going to do anything to affect fuel economy. Some people have no common sense.
😆😆😆
Mt friend has the same thing, but for the OBD2 port
All it does is have a red light that blinks at random
No matter how much reasoning or explanation, he's adamant this little box somehow gives his car 20% more power
Probably millions.wish I would have thought of that
@@RoughLandings77 He's one of those "Rabbit Foot" believers, then.
I’d tell the Bentley customer to have that mold remediated first, or I’m not working on the car: that’s a health issue. They need to put their priorities in the right order.
ononearts you are damned right. It is not what you can see that is the issue, it is what you cannot see, invisible spores that you inhale can give you serious respiratory problems.
Unfortunately I'll believe that it will never happen, unless the owner is willing to have a company remediate the whole inside of the vehicle they won't bother
That Bentley is so traditional and old-fashioned it started to look like it was an antique lounge chair found in a dank, dark, and very wet Irish castle
That last one with the oil was hilarious, and the daughter laughing was the best lol
I hate working on cars, but this channel makes me feel like a journeyman mechanic
Love that father and daughter, crying won’t help so laugh!!! I’m sure that won’t happen again!!👍

Every year I curse this country's MOT (UK) inspection, then I watch your videos and think and consider myself lucky that it's highly unlikely that I will be sharing the road with some cars like you highlight. Great show, keep them coming.
Its the same here in NZ, you have to get a yearly WoF (Warrent of Fitness) if your car was made prior to 2000, its Bi-yearly.
In Australia only NT has mandatory scheduled inspections, the other states just check the car if it gets a new owner.
Since Rust isn't a real problem and no salt is used on streets because there is no snow in the dry climate it works

Been watching these for a while now (subscribed after watching the first clip), it’s astounding to us here in the UK to see all these vehicles that aren’t fit for the road not to mention a danger to the driver and anyone unlucky enough to be anywhere near it on the road. Our cars have to pass a safety test that’s now linked to a central system, so any police car can tell if the car they’re following has insurance, road tax and it’s MOT (ministry of transport) test certification. Can’t believe the number of customers that decline any further repairs.

After seeing the water pump story , I have one to share . One of my buddies called me and asked if I could help him change his water pump . When I looked under the hood I saw that the water pump had broken and gone halfway through his radiator . After removing the water pump I noticed something funny on the bottom of it . I asked if he knew what it was . He said sure , it's J B weld . He said his water pump was leaking water out of the little hole in the bottom so he put some J B weld in the hole and fixed the leak . I didn't have the heart to tell him that the weep hole was there on purpose to let you know that it needed to be replaced .
Once saw an ole timer install a grease fitting in that weep hole. Back prior to WWII there was actually a thing called water pump grease.
