This man has suffered so much. He lost his mother who was his only best friend as his father abandoned him when he was a little baby. This song was written for his mother and two fays before the release of this song he lost his younger sister. I love him with all my heart as his story and his career after One Direction is a true definition of resilience.
You guys need to watch his Documentary ALL OF THOSE VOICES. It will show you whZt happened after One Direction went on a break and how Louis suffered through the major loss in his life. Watch it please after This Is Us ends.
I feel so proud when someone appreciate Louis sing writing ability and vocal performance. Thank You So Much For that. And you guys have only heard 1% for his music. Its so hard hitting, relatable and authentic. You guys need to hear more from him.

As the other comment says, he wrote this for his mums passing. She died in December of 2016 from Leukemia. They were extremely close and Louis (pronounce Lou-ee btw) took her death really hard. He says he felt he HAD to write this song in order to move on. The hardest tragedy was that literally days after this song was released, Louis' younger sister passed away from an accidental overdose, aged just 18. His life has unfortunately produced a lot of ups and downs, but he is finally able now to make the music he wants and the fans are 1000% on his side for everything - honeslty, one of the best fanbases in the world!
He has a documentary out called All Of Those Voices, which I would happily pay for you to watch at some point coz it will show u everything this poor man has been dealt, whilst also giving u an insight into his strength and resilience!
Sam - we should recommend „All of this voices“ to the two of them. Would be happy to share the costs with you. Love the reactions of these two and would really love to see them react to Louis documentary!

Louis Tomlinson! His story is of extremely inspiring and resilient. He lost so much in his life yet how he overcome all the hardships, pain and loss inflicted upon him makes his career flourish and thrive. He got the best, most Passionate and loyal collection of fans from One Direction, combined with his new solo fan following and they all came together like rocks behind him. I will guarantee you that if you listen to atleast three more songs from him you'll become his biggest supporters and fans. He has this ability that people naturally gravitate towards him. The most authentic and real personality. It would be great if you guys listened to his songs:

As some of the other comments have said, his mom passed away from cancer when she was only 43, and then a couple years later his younger sister passed away as well at just 18. It always hits me as especially sad just because both of them were so young and they seem to be a close family. Especially he and his mom were really really close. He performed for the first time as a solo artist just a few days after his mom's passing, as he promised her he would still do it, and I always feel a lot of emotion watching that performance.
I think we can all Pay you guys to watch Louis Tomlinson Recent Documentary "All Of Those Voices" you can watch it after completing One Direction This Is Us Movie. You will get to see the real struggle and thrive to make his own mark by Louis who was undoubtedly the most vital member of One Direction. The silent and underrated rock behind the glamour and shine of One Direction. He also holds the most song writing credits for One Direction.
Over the years, Louis has gone from being the most overlooked to the most beloved of the band for me. The older he gets the more beautiful his lyrics get and I really listen to his songs almost daily. It's no surprise that he has a huge fan base and they love him unconditionally. He's a special guy.

This song is about his mom, she passed in 2016. This song was already painful listening to, but it's even more painful now because his little sister passed a week after he released this song. Louis has been through so much and it's only made him stronger. He was raised to never let the bad things take over him and to stay strong and positive, and this song is a clear example of that in my opinion.
You two should check out more songs of his. Bigger Than Me, Silver Tongues, Written All Over Your Face and Kill My Mind are all good choices if you want to hear something from him that's less sad lol. Also if you want to learn more about him as an artist (that would be cool lol) his documentary, 'All Of Those Voices' would be a great reaction if you two are up for it. I’ve been watching your reactions to Zayn lately and was just waiting for any reaction to Louis. This was the very song that catapulted me into the Louis Tomlinson fandom 18 months ago. (My daughter was a One Direction fan years ago, and I love them as well) But Louis, he has something special that nobody can really explain. Two concerts (and two countries) later, I’m a die-hard “Louie” for life! So happy for this reaction.
And it’s so funny that y’all have no idea the power of this fandom. Your channel will explode overnight because of Louis content.

That was the first song I listened from him and i was so into it, now i'm such a big fan, you can see how much love he put in every song and how much he loves his fans, i'm genually so thankful with you two for reacting to this song.

louis is the oldest of 7 kids, so the line "we'll end just like we started, just you and me and no one else" hits even harder after his sister died cause louis was 7 when his first sister was born so it was 7 years of just him and his mum, then his 6 siblings where born and obviously since hes the oldest he thought he would be the first to die but then his sister died 2 weeks after this song came out
in a performance after her death he changed the lyrics to "i'll be living one life for the three of us"

You will realize that Louis’ fans love him more than any others because he’s authentic, careful, loving people, helping his band mates during One D. Very close to his family and siblings. IMO the band would never have succeeded as much as they did without Louis. Niall said it, Liam too and I présure Harry and Zayn thought it too. This song is one of my favorite.
