- This is a preview look at Gray Zone Warfare. A bunch of creators and streamers were invited to play, test, and show off what the team has been working on. This game is similar to Escape from Tarkov in how you go about accepting and completing tasks for traders. However, one of the biggest differences is you do not extract out of a raid, the world is persistent and no where is really "safe".

This was a playtest where a limited amount of creators were invited (mostly Tarkov players) to show off and give feedback on the game.
I have give them a HUGE list of things that would benefit the game in my eyes and they are aware of the major issues they need fixing before they bring it to a larger playerbase. Incredible to think this is a pre-alpha version of the game where normally games would not even be playable yet. If you want to see more, let me know! I will be working on a PVP video next because that's what I enjoy in these games the most. :)

Rain hell with artillery rounds on the LZ for incoming helis to push back LZ campers.
Or just smoke artillery to conceal them temporarily.
ORRR, the helis have gunners that light up the campers within a given radius as the heli is coming in to land.
Current situation is not ideal 😂
Would be cool if there was a hostage mechanic where your faction could take player hostages and try to extract them and trade them or kill them for reputation.

super happy to see a studio opening up the whitebox version of a game to actual gamers, for an entire week (i think), with no NDA and full disclosure that the game is not even at the pre-alpha stage.
..i think it's called the whitebox version, been yonkers since i did the game design course. they're beyond the proof of concept / prototype, have a working version, whitebox sounds about right.
great to see, can't wait for the AAA+ publishing companies to fall off.

The vegetation is so well designed! I wish PUBG looked this good.

Do you lose gear or anything when you die? Do you spawn back at the base? Can you make your way back to your body to loot your items?
So excited for this game. I hope they iron most of the potential grief scenarios .. it’s one thing to have everyone with a gentlemen’s agreement play together …. Whole other thing when the masses play

Tarkov made an inventory, and other devs were like OK THATS THE ONLY STYLE INVENTORY WE CAN USE ANYMORE, WRAP IT UP BOYS

Personally i like the idea of it being pvpve but more focused on the pve. The downsides (i think tom said it well) the exfil camping, and possible team killing for gear seems like it would be a really bad problem

The first like 4 days of the playtest many of the AI were bullet sponges , you could shoot one like 8 times and they wouldn't fuggin die 😅😅

PVP spawn camping is wack, hopefully they can find some way to make faction sided infiltration zones which aren't occupied by enemy players. That way you can land safely and take over the area so your team can land. A 1km radius or something so that players can land and get to cover without getting shot.
Either that, or have a system where you can bug out before you land if you know the LZ is hot. Both probably.
If they bring this to console, the looting and inventory system needs a revamp
It would need to be kbm enabled, I lpay dayz with kbm on Xbox series s and it's dreadful with controller. The inventory system is awful for controller. Same with any PC port to console. Pubg is the same with inventory

Realy hope it doesn't depend on this amazony forest style mape, it will fail like sanhok in pubg and caldera in warzone. Especially with its style of loot and shoot gameplay
I love it. It feels like Ghost Recon Wildlands. But also I love Sanhok lol
I don't think either of those failed for the reasons you're saying. Sanhok was the first smaller map in PUBG and made the lobby die out too quick because everyone dropped in the hot zones. And Caldera was just a non-modernized version of the game people initially fell in love with paired with an extremely dull color pallet.

Wasn't this game supposed to be like The Division, where the game is PvE except for a designated area (Ground Zero on the map) ? I thought that's what the devs said in your first video, but don't quote me on that. It would be better this way IMO, because people will be camping LZ on day one, everyone will be pissed, and if the devs don't react to this, a lot of folks might boycott the game
Maybe today's Tarkov fiasco will make enough players leave for this game to take off.

Looks good, shame theyre pulling the same blatant p2w garbage as EFT. If yall still support it after seeing the pricing, youre part of the problem with gaming. Love the channel, same with Tomo, but if yall cant call out the pricing stuff, then you should quit gaming.
Looks good but has severe downsides to the genre it is in. Like getting kicked from the server because you kill to many players?
The second I learned this any and all excitement I had for the game just died. If this changes in the future again, it may swing my decision but doubtful the devs will go back on that. Its like they want you to make friends with anyone but the AI, but failing that. Be careful to not kill too many players or all your hard work goes down the drain.
I'm not sure where you heard that from but it's not true. You only get kicked if you get reported for teamkilling. So if you're planning on killing players of your own faction then yes you should be kicked.
