I'm old school, so I enjoy a good, sound, fundamental boxer. The discipline he displayed to avoid any of Canelo's baiting tactics was impressive. I also love how he stuck with the jab, stayed off the ropes, and remained the ring general at all times! Master class effort by Bivol.

You MIGHT have an argument had he NOT ALREADY fought at that weight and won a belt in it when he KO'd Kovalev. He showed he could compete there. And he walks around at 190. So, it's not like he's not used to carrying that weight.

After watching some of Dimitry's past fights, I knew Canela would have trouble dealing with Bivol's jab and combinations. Also, Bivol has a good chin and so I knew he would be able to easily absorb Canela's power shots.

He will lose to bivol in a rematch and retire before he goes down and fights at his natural weight class again.
