Thank you all SO much for believing in our farm & our channel. You guys bring so much joy to me
Jessica and Jeremiah laid a wonderful foundation for you guys. Can’t wait to see how you and your family take it to the next level. 😊
Flowers feed the soul just as much as veggies feed the body.
A lot of flowers can feed the body too.
Well said, both of you
It's nice seeing Nathan more often in the videos. Oh, I hate to put him.or you on the spot, but would he be willing to do a video showing us how he makes his broccoli? I totally agree with you about growing flowers. They bring me just as much joy as the vegetables and herbs do!
The "tulsi" basil (holy basil) is medicinal so you are blessed to have so much to harvest and share.
Beautiful presentation 👏 you make the world a better place in this changing times let's all show people threw our day some grace ! Just a little kindness grows well too thanks you all !
I appreciate you starting the conversation about seeding plants whose purpose is to attract the pests. I want to learn more about that. Thanks.
Broccoli has always been my favorite vegetable, then potatoes, then cabbage, then all the greens
Broccoli, asparagus, and Brussels sprouts are my faves. Yes. We need cooking videos 😊
Please do a video with your favorite cutting garden flowers soon. So we can plan ahead and be inspired.
I love that Nathan is getting more comfortable being in the videos :)
This video warmed my heart. The love that Jessica always poured into that garden and now you have it and will continue to grow, literally. .The garden is so full of life. You have so much passion in what you do and it shows and it’s contagious. You’ve also increased my knowledge as well, thank you. I started small this year and will continue to evolve and grow. Thanks for all the encouragement and inspiration Jill.
Oh wow Broccoli in a cast iron pan, that is a really good idea, thank you!!
You will never go back to your old way of cooking it
thank you for being here for us and sharing all of your knowledge
I love that you’re showing more flower content. I too am trying to grow some cut flowers. Keep the great content coming!!
speaking of growing,... Nathan is rocking the pre-mullet pretty well. keep it going dude!!
Jill I just wanted to let you know how much I love watching your videos, please never stop. You have such a beautiful family and an amazing husband ❤
The ferny one by your kale is red mizuna, a type of mustard.
Your joy just gives me joy. I am happy to witness your blessings and the blessings you are growing in your new farm. Great tour and look forward to many more there on y'alls new farm.
absolutely Jill. I heard a native American woman say that flowers bring joy to the garden. When we brought our flowers in, we learned she was so right! They make the garden complete
💯 percent agree!! Grow flowers...tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and herbs. This is my plan next year.
You give me such hope and inspiration. Can't wait to start some flowers now. At our little garden we call those volunteers "Fairy Planted Gifts"
Aww, miss Kitten George's memorial yellow jasmine by the gate.
I feel happy like that when I come home from working a long night, pull up in the parking lot, & see all of the plants on my Front Porch shining in the sun!! Some of the summer stuff is looking kind of tired, but I have cool season flowers that will be ready to take their place! Thank you for your lovely videos!!
There are over 30 varieties of mint 8 recently learned, wow, I didn't know that before
This was a great first garden tour on this property. So excited to continue watching what you both do in this space! Great job weeding Nathan- I have never tried broccoli in a skillet; I must try. Thanks for the tip :)
I LOVE Tulsi. It makes a delicious tea.
I enjoyed that garden tour 🙂
You two have done an Amazing job. I love to see the new things your growing 💓💓💓💓
You’re lovely! You just sparkle with joy, beauty and life. Great tour!
Thank you ❤
Plus the flowers bring all the pollinators to your veg garden so that will bring you hopefully a more abundant harvest! Your garden is looking fab!
Jessica will be proud!!!
Excited to see your weekly progress with your garden tours
Awe Jill so wonderful your doing great!!!
Love, love, love the fall garden tour! It helps to see where your veggies are at this point in time 👍
Jess did an amazing job with this property. So jealous!
Yay first tour! Getting in some good fall harvest.
I let some vegetables go to seed just for the flowers 😉
Yay, let the fall gardens tours begin! Great job and thanks for sharing your joy!! Blessings to you Nathan and the girls! 💗💗💗💗💙Beverly
the land is definitely magical. I see the same joy and excitement on your face and can hear the same happiness in your voice as when Jessica was there. Enjoy your sanctuary and thank you for taking us along
That was a great explanation about trap plants and keeping a record! One year I planted amaranth by my zucchini and cucumbers and the squash bugs left my cukes and zukes alone but tore up that amaranth!! I will always plant an amaranth by my squash plants
Great vlog. Look forward to seeing your weekly tours. You two are a joy to watch and listen too. You are putting your own stamp on the garden. Well done. 💕💕🌻🌻
Thanks for sharing the types!
It's beautiful! So much progress even with everything else you have going on with moving and selling your old house, etc. it's good to see you so happy with the fruit of your labors. Thank you for sharing it.
I'm so happy for you Jill 💓
You are doing such a good job of teaching and encouraging us gardener's
Been waiting for a tour!!! Yipeee!
I can’t wait to see all the beauty your gonna have out into your farm with the flowers so cool GODBLESS sweeties
So thrilled I can see how things are going out there every Friday. I love to see our climate progressions and how our crops cope during these next four to five months.
Looks lovely Jill. Thank you for the tour. 🤩
It’s all so beautiful and healthy! I can’t wait to see how your flowers do! Awwww…. So sweet that Nathan is weeding.
Thank you Jill for the garden tour that was absolutely fantastic. I'm a big herb Gardener and have never wanted flowers in my garden until I started watching Jess and yourself. Thank you for the inspiration! I have started buying flower seeds and planning a future flower bed thanks to y'all
You two always have the best videos! Jill is like a human ferret, you can’t watch her playing in the dirt and possibly feel sad. Thanks for all you share, I hope y’all have a great weekend!!
Really awesome tour, I am loving your gardens transformations! Get this, I am way up in northern MN zone 3 and we just got our first frosts in the last few days! We were blessed with an extra full month of gardening. It was so nice to experience such an extended season like you folks have in the south. Blessings to everyone!
I love how the garden is looking and the way y’all are making it yours🥰
Nathan needs to do cast iron skillet cooking classes!!!
Thanks for the compliment. Jill has put alot of sweat/work in. I don't believe I would get many views on a cooking video but we may look into it
Hi Jill your garden is still looking great and your flowers are beautiful I just started growing flowers this year and you are right I love them.
I deal with tons of weeds in my garden, and found nut grass can be removed by giving it a jiggling twisting motion to loosen the soil from the roots. I don’t have to dig and they pry out so much better without breaking down in the soil.
Absolutely beautiful...ready for flowers!❤️❤️❤️
One of the best garden vids I have seen from Nathan and yourself .
You'll get caught up sooner than later , take good care and love of your soil as it's maybe the biggest job and concern forming a spiritual connection like no other growing with each year
Looks fantastic! I’m hoping to get mine restarted for the spring. I’ve been planting lots of bulbs and am looking forward to a lovely spring. Hugs and love from Texas!
Love the wheel outside, need a close up
Hey y'all, This was a fun video and a fall garden tour. Has anyone else done fall garden tours before. You really looked so happy today, I am so happy for y'all I hope you have a great fall and winter. take care bye for now
Hi Jill and Nathan you are such an inspiration. It would be real nice to see some of the bouquets you keep mentioning. That would give us all some ideas as to what to plant next year.
Well done Jill and Nathan Thanku for your ongoing inspirations and sharing your beautiful garden and farm videos with me love from South Africa
Thanks for checking us out all the way from South Africa ❤
🙋hi from Scotland hi Jill thank you for the tour of your autumn garden you have it looking great you have done a lot of work I am so glad you have settled in your new farm your wee face is beaming with pride I wish you and your lovely family all the best Anne Scott from Scotland 🎃🎃
The seed packet spacing is often set for farms with tractor equipment so they are spaced according to the eauipment which needs space more than hands picking
Wonderful garden tour guy’s 🥰 and one of my favourites is broccoli 🥦 and the skillet method sounds mouth watering 🌸🦋🌸
Love it! Beautiful! By the way I'm so jealous! I've been trying so hard for 5 years to build my soil, build hard structures and keep refining....but Massachusetts has been hard with a small growing season.....Many blessings to you all!! I love your channel and enjoy the stories and updates!
Everything looks so beautiful and fruitful. God Bless you and your family 🙏❤️
I'm so so happy about your move and ( what everyone) growth plans as also your use of what Jess left behind for you. It's a real treat to watch as the changes take place. Whew what a chore to go through and change or leave whatever you ultimately decide. Glad I'm watching as also you teach as you go.
CONGRATULATIONS on this new endeavor. May God bless and keep you as I am certain you already know it wouldn't happen without Him already being present in your midst.
That tulsi basil makes the best tea! I let it wilt for a day in the house, add lemon balm then pour hot water over. Addictive.
Lovely tour
Beautiful!!!
This is a joy to watch your journey.
Thank you
Jill , you totally inspired me to make sour dough starter! I am on day 4 of feeding it and it’s doing great already . Love watching you and your husband and family. Keep up the great work. Oh yes, I will add that I am a very young 71! Keep on keepin on! God bless you
Amen Jill
Thankyou so much for sharing such a beautiful video, so much knowledge lots of love 😊🇦🇺👍💖
Garden looks good 😊
Just beautiful, Jess
Would luv it.
Just discovered your channel. Your garden is amazing 💚
I'm ready too learn more about flowers.
Love this tour! The purple plant in the salad mix is Purple Mitzuna, a mild Asian mustard. I see you also have the green variety as well, absolutely delicious!
I started zinnia seeds because of your sharing this summer and they were a true joy, not as successful as you since I never transplanted them - our raised garden beds are taking longer than we thought - but they were tenacious suckers and flowered anyway!
They say "no horn worms etc in Canada, because its so cold" not true, we plant cat nip around the edges of our gardens esp tomatoes and thats what keeps them away. Love your garden! cheers from northern Canada, and Happy birthday Nathan!
Thank you and thank you for the tip
@@WhisperingWillowFarm you're absolutely welcome!
I really love the honesty and raw emotion and work. Thank you for being honest. I ma dreaming and planning and working towards my homestead dreams with my boyfriend and your honesty truly makes me feel a little more ready to do it. Thank you. I love you guys and wish nothing but great blessings.
Keep planning and go for it
Thank you for sharing ❤️🥰😘
I love jade beans. I have the bush variety though. My purple podded beans were my most productive bean this year.
Maybe Nathan should do some cooking vlogs
I’ve used plain flour on my hydrangeas to fight black grasshoppers. I read that it gums their “mouth” up.
Interesting, I've never heard that. Thanks for sharing
i planted purple potatoes and didnt know that the flavor would go better with sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes or yellow ones. i didnt know the flavor was different. just wanted to share. have a great day!!
Jill, don't be so quick to pull out the rattle snake beans. I let mine grow large and some dry and I cooked those beans (shelled out of the pod) just like pinto and navy beans. They are wonderful. The garden looks great. You have done a wonderful job. You inspire me so much. Thanks
Great idea, thanks for sharing
This is a great garden tour! one day I will do as well.
Awesome tour. Really interested in how you introduce flowers as the varieties I have picked don’t always live up to my expectations. But I am new to this and am really interested to see what you plant when and how they grow. Keep up the great content you are gifted!!
Couple of flowers to try: white finch orlaya, chocolate daura, Fama White Scabiosa, (and snapdragons can handle light freezes). Also the love in a puff vine is a nice drapey complement to a bouquet, especially when it has its balloon like pods. Also great for added texture is a foliage plant with reddish or purplish leaves.
I always hear to space on center. That way the soil is covered which helps with weed prevention.
Peppermint oil and Neem
My broccoli is starting have some head on am so pumped 😋 hope all the plants will. My husband getting inpatient he done me am not done I dnt want give up on the garden I enjoy getting some turnips n greens and such
I like Early Wakefield Jersey cabbage. These Cabbage are easy to grow they are small cone shape. I am like you I just do not like large head of cabbage. I like to use the whole cabbage
Everything looks awesome! Maybe you should name your Garden “ My Hearts Garden”🥰
Happy Saturday Jill, Nathan, family & farm!!! It’s time for me to spend most of today tending to my garden and catching up on your videos (even if only the audio while I work.) Peace & love 😘😘😘
BTW, is it too late for me to plant some garlic in containers??? We have gone down to 34 degrees a few nights in the last week.. South Carolina, zone 7b
Great question. I believe you are fine. Maybe bring containers indoors at night
Time to make that Blackboard your own sweet girl. I know you will come up with something inspiring!
Good Morning sweetheart ❤️
