Chelsea fan here, but the amount of stick Arsenal are getting is ridiculous. They've spent the last 10 year struggling to get top 4, and now after a few years of pressure, Arteta has built a solid team that has consistently challenged for the Premier League against 2 very tough sides. They're a point behind City! It's not like they've imploded and lost a bunch of games at the end of the season. Liverpool fall short every year and never get labelled as bottlers. Media narrative is pathetic!! Even if Arsenl finish 2nd, it's still an impressive season for them!
Itâs true that Liverpool get nowhere near the same amount of criticism as Arsenal, but I think itâs because theyâve actually been winning trophies and Arteta still has that one FA Cup. Until Arsenal win a big trophy again like the Premier League or Champions League, weâre always going to be subjected to overly harsh criticism.
@@nickxcore74plus the media hates Arsenal. Liverpool have always been much more respected as loads of pundits either played for Liverpool or grew up when they were dominant.
And yet people claim spurs bottled a championship in a year they were never top?
The media give the people what they want, itâs clickbait at its finest.
They know that if they put the words Arsenal and bottlers in a headline the public will eat it up. Itâs the silly fans I feel for, so blinded by their hatred that they donât see how easily manipulated they are. Be far more interesting if they used their brains and came up with a sensible observation we could debate

@joewhite22.....TalkSPORT is a total mess to be truthful - but what do you expect with the standard of 'pundits' they have?
Simon and Danny are some of biggest critics of Arsenal over the years. But this is an objective view and take from both. Big up to these 2
I can't believe I am hearing this repeatedly. Six games left, 18 points to play for, and only a two points difference and some people are saying the title race is a forgone conclusion. I am a City fan and by no means this is over.
Correct, but City is known for being ruthless and focused at the back end of seasons.
Well said... So much hysteria when one of the top 3 have dropped points recently....
Woolwich Bottles. Perennial nearly team. Hahaha. Woolwich Bottlejobs. Lego head won nothing last year or thisâŠ. Itâs funny but Tottenham win nothing either so which is worse probably Chelsea for being doped
Come on though of your remaining fixtures at worst youâll draw with spurs and thatâs a big maybe meanwhile Arsenal have got to go away to Spurs United and still gotta play Chelsea meanwhile injury ravaged Liverpool have got relegation battling Everton and spurs and Villa the title is done
Rubbish! You know it's done and dusted. You're pretending to be humble.
I dont think Arsenal can be labelled anything other than a work in progress until we see where they peak, at the moment they arent quite at the very top, but they've improved in every metric on last season, which is clear progress.
you can't compare Klopp's 5 yrs to Arteta's. This is Arteta's first job. Klopp been a manager for eons. He has waay more experience. Arteta is still leaning and is becoming better.
First job and learning? Given 650m+ to spend.......not bad for an apprentice. Arteta isn't a winner. Seen the evidence of that in 4 trophyless years
You canât keep giving the excuse tht itâs his first job in management heâs been in football for years. There is a long list of mangers who have won things in there first few years in management. A like arteta but with the amount of money heâs spent he needs to be winning trophies imo.

It's not city havent even been the same city this season either nd Leicester managed to win it with a shitter team and all arsenal do is make excuses every seaosn 3 seasons in a row they bottled something becoming there trait now
Jim absolutely does not hope that we go through.
This trend now of calling any team that loses bottlers is ridiculous! What makes the premier league the best league in the world is that from top to bottom itâs competitive, any team can beat any one! Each week itâs, klopp has bottled it, Arteta has bottled it, itâs a 3 way fight, which can only be won by 1 team. Finishing 2nd or 3rd isnât bottling it, itâs just after 38 games they havenât been the best ! And Jim calling arsenal bottlers for losing against villa, villa are a top class team ! Just because theyâre not traditionally classed as the original top 6 they donât get credit! Itâs snobbery from people like Jim who think itâs a so called big teams right to beat everyone else in the league.
Burnley and sheff United havenât won 5 games between them ffs đ
@Matthewpaul13 Agreed. There is too much immaturity and tribalism in punditry and commentary these days. Now, with that being said, do make sure to give us that match when we meet on Saturday. Cheers!!
I wouldnât call them bottlers, but they do crack under pressure when it comes to the business end of the season. History has proved this to be the case, it started near the end of Wengerâs tenure.
@@nickxcore74 Agreed. However, it has been two years in a row now, so hopefully it wonât stretch to three. Who else has Chelsea, United, and Rottenham all in their remaining fixtures?! Rough way to go.
@@philanderphillips2309Yeah, itâs been rough and finishing runners up two years in a row will be pretty brutal for us. We can get a result in Munich, but every player needs to put in a top performance and try to forget about the disappointment of Sunday against Villa.
If bottling it is competing for the Premier League and getting into the last eight of the C/L then as an Arsenal fan I'd take that. We have been derisory over the last decade, so absolutely lovely to see us eating at the top table.

That's the level of football knowledge you get from an arsenal fan. Low.
Come on Timmy! Come on! You can do it!
Looking at what Arsenal has done with one of the youngest sides in the league is truly commendable. Arsenal is in a much better position compared to their usual rivals (Spurs, Chelsea, Man U), thanks to Arteta. Losing one game or not winning the league should not shadow what Arteta has done with this young group of players.
Yeah cuz being young matters
He's touched them all up
You don't get the excuse of "we have young players" when Arteta signed and wanted those young players.
To label any team âBottlersâ is confirmation you donât have an original thought in your head and canât think for yourself.
@ 05:02 Simon "They're gonna be forever, what ever they do bottlers", utter nonsense, when we start winning things, that bottling jibe is soon distached. No one is saying Bayern NeverKusen this season.
He's defending Arsenal here lol. Bloody hell
@@Franatomy I had it on in the background, so if that's the case I retract it against Simon, though we did bottle it last season and look nervy again this season just at the clinching part the season. Great comments, that's what I call quality.

Arteta has only spent 600 million in his time at Arsenal.. give the lad a break!!
How much did xabi spent , excuse fc
Exactly. Arteta is amazing.. whenever a decision doesn't go his way, he is so humble and Arsenal fans are all the same. 600 million and a work in progress... Yeah Arsenal have had an easy run in but thats the way the cookie crumbles
Spend 600 million and the team is now worth over a billion. While Chelsea United spent double and teams worth a bag of chips. Clearly not into business.

When has anyone at any stage this season been 10 points clear?
Agreed re Watkins is better than Kane. Well said Jamie. Kane is now an immobile English Oak⊠and by the stats, Ollie literally is: double figure G & A

Am i watching the same video. He literally says the opposite of the headline!!
Holy cow I couldnt get through this mess of commentary. Arsenal strengthened in all positions that they were lacking last season, everyone said its their year to prove themselves in EPL and UCL, and now that they have bottled both, suddenly its fine? Piss off with that soft approach. Cause when Liverpool ''bottled'' the league in 2018/19 with 97 freaking points they had to hear about it until the mid of 2019/20 season. Are they a good team? Yes. But they have room to improve, is all.
The definition of bottling it would be if Arsenal were to win the league against City who are the treble winners and greatest team weâve seen. Bottling it is when you have all the tools, credentials and the history of doing it but then you slip up to a team that employed your assistant coach in his first job & bought two of your players in Jesus and Zinchenko(who sucks)
Get it right.
Simon Jordan moaning about the media is amazing irony
Imagine bottling it THAT much that youre 2 points behind Man City with 6 games left... and last 8 of the Champions League....
Ohhh how i wish i was a Spurs fan instead...
Arsenal need a clinical finisher upfront not only for the goals but more importantly to show Saka ans Jesus to be more clinical.

The makeup of this Arsenal team is not like City or Madrid or Bayern. Arsenal still needs to find their feet and learn how to get over the line.
Arsenal bottled the season last year, this year I donât think they were ever going to win the league

The South African cricket team are labelled as chokers. As a South African and as much as it hurts, the tag is suitable. Bottlers, chokers, perennials, whatever you want to call it, Arsenal are the proteas of football. And just like us, they should accept the tag and celebrate it, if and when they do overcome their tag
We bottled the top 4
We bottled the title
We bottled the CL
We are making great progress as bottlers đ
Simon Jordan deserves much respect and very right on Arsenal's progression and the negativity of others against the team. But Jim White and The Other failure Danny Murphy are true haters no matter what they say..
The title is so misleading đ
I don't agree with Simon's analysis of Arsenal last season at all... we lost the season in the FA Cup round facing Man City... Arteta put out a far weakened side which ended up getting beat and compounded the 'we can't beat Man City trope'... that defeat damaged us psychologically, which then fed into 'Arsenal never win at Liverpool trope' game... then teams started to work out how to play and beat Arsenal...people forget it took teams almost all season to get to grips with Arsenal's new tactics... the run of bad games also happened at the same time Ramsdale and his partner lost their baby... this season, we are much improved, but teams are improving on their tactics.... had Arsenal put their chances away in the 2 Villa games this season.. it would have been very very different games... but dems the breaks!!
Great discussion, Arsenal surprised everyone including themselves last year when they pushed the best team not only in England but in the world and almost won the league, no one who loves football would want a league where one team wins it with ten games to go, I would prefer the premier league to have at least four teams which can offer City a stiff competition for the title.
