RE: Brain Fog | My heart really went out to you when you were describing your struggle with brain fog. I know how hard and scary that would’ve been for you. It was also painful because I know that for some with chronic illnesses that never go away, brain fog will always be a curse. I have Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS) and brain fog is one of my most debilitating symptoms. I knew exactly how you felt; it was like going through an identity crisis. I could no longer read, comprehension for verbal and written communication was impacted, during severe brain fog periods when I spoke it was like I was drunk - slurred speech, forgetting words, forgetting what I was saying altogether - and it’s hard because I feel like I don’t have much short term memory anymore. It’s impossible to work like this, I haven’t been able to work for 8 years. With COVID ...it’s stressful for those of us with ME/CFS to see people not taking COVID seriously because the more permanent disease of ME/CFS can be triggered post-virally. I would never wish this disease on anyone. It’s forever disabling and debilitating - the end of any kind of life you would’ve wished for yourself. I’m SO GLAD to see that you’re beginning to feel better and I hope so hard that brain fog completely goes away for you. I do, though, want more people to be aware of how many of us live with this cognitive dysfunction as a result of being unlucky enough to get sick with a chronic disease - let there be more understanding and compassion and allyship in helping people get support and making the world more accessible. ❤️
I had brain fog for about two weeks and it was completely debilitating so I can’t imagine what you’re going through. I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. Thank you for taking the time to share your story. I’m sending you so much love and strength. Xx
@@sophiachang Aw thank you, Sophia, that means a lot to my heart. Sending you love too.
I would absolutely LOVE if you did a kitchen tour and showed us how you set up your kitchen for functionality and all of your favourite kitchen accessories + appliances. 😊💕
Thanks for sharing your journey with us Sophie, I think it’s a big help when ppl see someone they are familiar with go through this. Whether they are having trouble with it themselves or aren’t taking this seriously. I truly hope you feel better and won’t suffer from long covid 🤍🤍🤍
Sofie I really love your use of slow motion. I always think it enhances a moment. Love you girl and wish you strength and encouragement throughout your recovery 💕
zinc and vitamin c really helped with my recovery! glad to see that you’re getting better
A quick tip for stopping dizziness when you twirl is to SPIN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION (about the same # of spins)👌🏾👌🏾 helps a lot!!!
Only if I knew how to spin in the opposite direction 😭
@@sophiachang 😭oh dang!
When I had covid last year I had the worst headache of my life that lasted for the 2 weeks I was sick! Nothing helped, literally nothing.
I know exactly what you mean about having brain fog. It was horrible. After I finally felt better I really appreciated the feeling of feeling healthy and having energy
Sophie i had covid early 2020 and just want to say long covid is so real. I totally get what you feel about not feeling yourself, being in a conversation and cant seem to find the words to say. It also triggered anxiety for me. Don’t let anybody downplay your symptoms. Its honestly the worst part it feels like a battle with yourself. You will get dizzy, and if u notice in ur apple watch ur heart will start jumping up randomly (look up POTS-post orthostatic tachycardia) it took me almost a whole year to feel completely normal. Some days will be good, some will be bad. Going to a neurologist/ long covid clinic helped me. i also took spiro for acne like u do so that could also contribute to the dizziness so make sure u drink lots of water, just take it easy and just accept the fact that you will not be 100% right away. And also if you werent already after three months please get vaccinated :)
-health care worker
Thank you so much for this. I got vaccinated back in April and I honestly couldn’t imagine what my symptoms would have felt like if I wasn’t vaccinated. You’re absolutely right about this feeling like a battle with yourself. I had some of my lowest moments during quarantine bc my thoughts would get really dark since I wasn’t able to think clearly. Once I got better I truly have had a different outlook on life. I hope others take this seriously and get vaccinated if they haven’t already because this is NO joke. Thanks for checking in with me. I appreciate it so much! 🤎
Would being vaccinated prevent any of the above situations you’re describing?
@@sincerelyklk4205 it might not prevent symptoms but I've heard that the symptoms are a lot less severe.
Sophieee, I just wanted to tell you that you and weylie motivates me to be a better woman ❤️ your lifestyle are goalsss i love you both so much!
thank you for sharing this with us, we are all in a hurry to get back to normal and we need the reminder that the pandemic is not quite over yet. I hope you feel better soon! Give yourself some grace to take the time to recover 💖
Growing up a dancer, I learned that the technique of “spotting”, picking a single point to stare at and focus on while turning, helps you not get dizzy when spinning in circles so maybe that might help? hoping you feel better! 💛
Awww Sophia, thank you for this. I have been having depression and the brain fog you mention, it truly is a trip and existential
crisis enhancer, so I appreciate having someone to empathize with. And you really are so beautiful, I have been watching you forever. Sending you good energy and clear, and fogless brain activity haha
Thank you 🥺 I’m hope you’re okay. Sending you a big hug ❤️❤️
i could watch her cook everyday it always looks so good and it’s so relaxing!!!
So glad to know you’re feeling more like yourself and you stayed strong during Covid. Also seeing your reaction to Jenn going into labor made my eyes tear up 🥲 I love the love!
I’ve been watching you for years and I’ll never get tired of your videos ❤️ sending lots of love from the bay :)
Thank you for being brave to share your Covid journey Sophie. Also glad to see you making food and coffee in your videos again. So satisfying watching you clean the house at the end. Hope you are feeling better now. Sending lots of love ❤️
You’re right, the affects of covid on a cognitive level is real. My ex boyfriend suffered from this and memory loss. He doubled up on vitamins. It’s been about 9 months and he’s finally starting to gain his highest cognitive ability again. Praying for you.
Yes my sister too...its been about a year since she got covid and barely until now shes finally feeling like her normal self and even like that if im being real i can tell shes not 100% not saying she'll never be but it does take time
I’m so glad he’s doing better. Sending him my love!!
Sophie is on dropp everything!!😍 Covid symptoms are crazy, I was challenged in so many ways!! Mentally, physically, a mess🥵. Feel better!! Rest n hydrate. Hugs💖
stay strong soph!!! even with Covid, your vlogs are still so inspiring :) hehe thanks for sharing your experience with us! glad that you're fully recovered!
don’t know if you’ll ever see this but i wanted to thank you for making that 30 days of roller skating vid. i watched it and went to get myself a pair of skates that very weekend. it has been 3 months now and i’ve been skating every week without fail. i never skated before (even when i was a kid) but i now hit up the skatepark every other day and have made amazing new friends because of this. skating has brought so much happiness and fun in my life that i’ve never experienced before. and i wanted to thank you for helping me take the first step!
Never disappointed with your vlogs 😌 thank you for sharing I’m happy your feeling better
Sending lots of love Sophie ! I hope you’re feeling better now. ♥️♥️♥️
Glad you are fully recovered and feeling better! Also, really love that laptop stand its so unique!
hope you continue to feel better soph!!! ❤
Glad you are feeling better 😘 Sending you lots of love, great vibes and sunshine 😘✨
I hope you’re feeling better!! 💕💕
Oh man, that sounds awful 😭 glad you're getting back to somewhat normal! My intial thought was, oh crap, glad Jenn didn't get covid after seeing you since it takes like 14 days to show symptoms. 😬 Keep taking care of yourself and be well!❤️
Sophia !!! Your not alone the brain fog happened to me as well!! It was so hard for me to concentrate and I had brain swelling for two months after Covid and of course doctor said “nothing we can do have to wait it out, it’s post covid symptoms” and it was hell to go through. I had breathing problems and heart palpation’s for four months afterwards as well and then I finally had it under control and then once I got the second shot my heart problem came back but even worse 😞 now at 21 years old I have to see a cardiologist and get a bunch of test done because I can no longer breath right and my chest feels so tight on my left side and under my arm pit with heavy palpation’s. Nothing has been the same since, I feel so uncomfortable in my own body now bc of my heart issues.
Hi just want to say I love watching your videos and I hope your doing better these days! 🥰🥰
im so happy you got through Covid safe and sound. its good to see you .
sending jen peace and love to her and her baby and family
🙏🏽 glad you’re well!
Brain fog with COVID is real and you are right it is not talked about enough. Having had COVID at the beginning of the pandemic many of the symptoms I experienced were not discovered/revealed yet (i.e. loss of taste, lost of smell, brain fog, extreme exhaustion) so it was crazy time for me. Rest and take your time to allow your body to recover. Wishing you the best.
So glad that you’ve been able to get better from COVID, praying for you to get healthier!!! God bless!!!
✝️🙏🏼🤍🕊
Luna was being so stubborn, I couldn't help but laugh with Sophia when she turned and look at the camera @ 1:21
Same 😂😂
kitchen tour! i want to know where all your beautiful plates/mugs/etc are from ✨
I tested positive back in April and I didn’t feel “normal” until august. I had a cough for about three months straight and had to do physical therapy to learn how to basically breathe and speak properly again. The brain fog is one of the worst things and like you say, it’s not talked about enough. It makes all the other symptoms so much worse. I am out of it now and was deemed completely healthy beginning of September but that’s nearly 6 months from the day I tested positive. Having a temperature for days on end also does something with the head and consciousness like it’s almost like you’re on a bad trip, only for weeks instead of a few days. It’s absolutely horrible..
Glad you are feeling so much better from this time of your life. It's great to see you back on here again. Luv you girl!!!
Feel better sophia!!!!!!!!
Your videos are QUALITY! also, covid sucks and I’m glad you made it out okay!
I’m not sure if you’re fully on the other side yet, but Hang in there! I felt all of it too ❤️🩹 and the fog and fatigue kinda lingered for at least a few weeks. Love ya Soph!
I’m fully on the other side and beyond grateful! Thank you for checking in! 🤎
I thought i was the only one who experienced the "brain fog" symptom, I didn't even know that is what it was called. I tried explaining it to my husband who also had covid but experienced diff symptoms and I thought I sounded like a crazy person. I felt like I was never going to recover who I was or be the same person I was before I got covid. It was a WEIRD feeling. I would sleep a lot and wake up and still feel like I had lost myself or a part of me mentally. I was scared af that I lost a part of my brain personality or something and it felt like anxiety was so thick and potent all around me, almost tangible. I really can't explain it. However, when I recovered, I felt like myself again slowly but surely. It's still scary when I think about the experience. I can't even say I lost my memory or something because I still had all my memories with me, just that, literally a part of me somehow floated away or something. Yeah now I sound crazy AF but seriously, that's what I experienced and I wish there was some better way to explain it. I'm just glad I'm not alone.
That’s exactly how I felt. Literally word for word! So glad that you’re recovered now.
I’m glad you are well. Can’t imagine what you’ve gone through. To better days ahead.
As someone who had caught COVID during Christmas last year, I 1000% remember that feeling, I couldn't even get up, nor could I think straight. The worst part was that I was in the middle of working on my college applications, and with light sensitivity, I could not spend more than 5 minutes looking at the screen. Though I can't exactly help, all I can tell you, it's going to get better, just make sure to take it easy on yourself the next few months (my doctor said not to do heavy exercise for a month after catching it (it could be case by case, since I had gotten a real bad case of it), cause no one knows the strength of your lungs after catching it)! Eat well, take vitamin C, and give yourself time to recover!
glad it wasn't as bad tho sophie! hope you recover well!
Love you Sophia 💕 have an amazing day
So glad you're feeling better!!
I hope you found out how you caught it bc you went from skating, to eating lunch at your sis apt to the next clip being you testing positive for covid. It’s crazy! I hope you’re feeling better and take it easy Sophie.
my thoughts exactly! i hope she’s feeling better but i also hope that she didn’t pass it to anyone while infected but not symptomatic :(
Glad you’re back to your usual routine!! Stay safe!! And thank you for sharing your experience with us! Take care!! 💚
I love her vlogs
Ive always wanted to try the stainless pans do they not stick??? Is cleaning easy??
We love to see it! Sending you all the love, good vibes and radiant health, Sophia!
Glad you are feeling better 🥰
I am obsessed with that black kettle
Love your content ♡
Girl the coffee addict in me knows your body mind and soul was happy when you sniffed those coffee beans 😭😭
Hi Sophia, I'm sorry to hear that you were tested positive, but I'm glad you're feeling better. I was just wondering where you got your black dinner plate and where you recommend shopping for dinnerware.
That's the same toaster oven they use at Kumquat! So good!
My fav coffee shop 🤍
Hey Sophia,
I hope you are doing well and have better days again
Thank you for sharing your story, it is so important for people to see what covid is, what it means to get it bc most people now start to be reckless and don't care anymore which will have a bad outcome for the overall community.
It would just be interesting to know if you were fully vaccinated or not?
Ofc being vaccinated doesn't mean you cannot get symptoms , most people still get a cold, just no long term problems or severe damage.
So I hope you fully recover and won't have any long covid symptoms.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Glad you are better, Soph!!
It’s been almost a year since I had COVID and I’m still dealing with the brain fog. I also got scared at first I’ve had it for so long now that I feel like I’m use to it now. But I’ll get the slurred speech and I have trouble thinking of basic words stuff that I had no problem with before. I hope you fully recover fast! Sorry you had to go through that 💖
everyone writing how early they are and then there's me wondering what sophie did to the egg yolk lol
😂😂😂😂
OMG Im still wondering about the egg yolk too!
Mee too lol
💀🤣🤣🤣
@@ThePendywendy I'd bet she saved it for the dogs

I really like your pitcher/carafe & glass! Where'd you get it from?
I'm glad you're doing okay! btw. your bed looks so comfy! may I ask where you got your bed frame?
You are so strong Soph! I hate that you had to suffer through covid. I love watching you clean, always so calming!
Hope you feel better soon!
Wish you get comfortable soon❤️
Where are your bracelets from during the made in section?
I am so happy that you made it out of Covid trust me I had Covid in June 2020 and it was the worst experience of my life I literally had every single symptom and one of them was definitely brain fog and just feeling like I was alone and like if there was no hope and after Covid I actually had really bad depression. I am so happy that I am on the other side!!! But it was a struggle! I still loose my train of thought way too often ..
oh soph.. thanks for sharing your journey despite the struggles and oh i mean you know setting up the camera in itself is an effort. I do hope this gives you more immunity, like finding something good out of it, if that makes sense.
Here in the Philippines, one by one my friends are easily getting covid and the symptoms come out within 1-2 days. it's crazy and i get anxious everyday. I just try to focus on taking care of myself, and even masking up in triple layers plus a face shield. Just doing my bit because there are elders and kids who still are at high risk. Masking up is no biggie for me, heck ive been using it with travelling for years. so I am willing to do my part, no matter how simple. It truly is a comfort that my friends who had covid are fully vaccinated and as such mostly had minor symptoms or asymptomatic. We are lucky to be living in metro manila where the vaccinations are prioritized.
You take care and give yourself time. No rush. We are here for you 💖💖🌻🌻
Where did you get your laptop stand from!! ♥️♥️
Soso, thank you so much for sharing such moments in your life, learnt bout brain fog through your covid section and so glad you shared this out. Take care over there
Honestly, the brain fog is why I am freaked out about getting covid. We still need to take precautions folks, this thing isn’t over yet.
Hope you feel better soon! Also love your sweats, where are they from?
I had chronic brain fog after getting two iron infusions. I think when your body goes through immense stress, brain fog can happen. I still get it here and there, stress and anxiety are the triggers now. It really feels like there's an alien controlling your body or you're in a movie and watching your life go by. Sounds like you still need to rest, don't feel bad for that, it's something you should do when you're sick anyways! Listen to your body, when the brain fog comes it's your body's way of saying things need to slow down. Wishing you an amazing recovery! ❤️🙏🥰
Where is your bed frame from? Can you please provide the link?
First first! Missed you!🥰
Where did you get your wooden laptop stand?
Never been this early before!! Love you Sophia
I got Covid as well back in April 😕. Except my symptoms were very different from most people. I was tested positive, but I could still smell and taste. I had severe coughing to the point I had to wear pads because I would literally piss myself. I also had severe diarrhea. Strangely, I didn’t have a fever and breathing became so difficult. This lasted for an entire month. The coughing and diarrhea got so bad that I wanted to be hospitalized. Thankfully, I pulled through. Before Covid, wearing a mask all the time was not a big deal and I didn’t understand how people would complain. After Covid, I can barely breathe with the mask on. I have to take breaks and stay away from people just so I can take the mask off for a little bit. It’s been that way ever since. I hope it’s not permanent. I’m so happy to hear you’re doing better!
Happy everyone is better, strange everyone's symptoms are soo different, I thought I was crazy....heavy lungs no coughing, smells were stronger, even water tasted sweet, my buds were all over the place, and I was lethargic. This virus gotta go!!🥵all be safe and healthy 🙏
Thanks for sharing MadeIn. I bought caraway last time and loved it but am looking into stainless steel products.
Hey Sophia!! Love your vlogs!! Question, where’s your couch cover from? I’ve been trying to find on and yours is super cute with the scalloped edges!! ♥️
I love nutritional yeast... so good!
Where did u get ur laptop stand?! Its so nice!!!
I love your water glass container! where did you get it if you remember?
The brain fog definitely seems to hit breakthrough cases the hardest. I had it in July and I'm still effected. My naturopath had me take Neem and Coleus Forskohii.
Hi where is your new bed set and comforter from!
Glad to see you feeling better! Your laptop stand is so beautiful! Where is it from?
Awwwww Luna is such a sweeetiiee ♥️♥️
Love ya Soph!
I got covid too in august and I’m vaccinated and the lasting fatigue was AWFUL. I also felt that brain fog for a couple weeks after, I took 3 weeks off instead of 2 to recover. I’m happy people are talking more about how long it takes to recover even if you are vaccinated.
She hasn’t confirmed if she’s vaccinated or if she isn’t
I agree, her platform can possibly help someone in that regard
Where did you get your skates from?
Where are your Wooden tray for vitamins from Sophia? Thank you so much
Also cookware looks amazing
Do you have the link for your lap top stand, Sophia? It looks so cool :)
Thank God you’re okay Sophie love you heaps darling take care
What a week+ you just endured! Congrats on feeling on the mend. Im kind of obsessed with your laptop stand at the end of the vlog. Would you share where you got it? ☺️
Yes I wanna know too!
its name Yohann
I caught covid being fully vaccinated and I was extremely frustrated but I did not experience brain fog tbh that was on of the symptoms that scared me the most. Take care of yourself and just be patient. I’m sending you all the good healing vibes
Ooof, I live with brain fog due to my condition, Fibromyalgia. They call it the “Fibro Fog” for us. I’m really sorry you’re going thru it and I hope your days get better!!
