@lola baldo I get so many I have to delete them every few days. Probably delete a hundred pokeballs a week.

Fun fact when you hold your finger over your camera the video size will be much smaller, niantic gets no useful data, and you still get the poffin you want.

Fun fact: you are unable to do these without a gyroscope, so you end up having them for no reason (even if you delete it you get one by spinning a stop so yeah thats cool)
If you hold one, you won't get another one. And it's in it's own "special section" (so you can still get 3 "normal" tasks). I've hold one for about/over a year and have never gotten another one. Either I'm lucky over the like 6-7k Stops I've spun since then, or this works. I was annoyed with the Scan-tasks as well until I found this thing out somewhere, lol
You can just leave it in your Quest View. It takes no space and you don't get them every time after deleting it instad of a really doable quest.
Like others said you can still get 3 tasks and have one of these in your research, its worth it, I've got 2 accounts and have had them for like a year now with no extra ones

Yeah, I've never been able to do one because of lacking a gyroscope
Notice here that that we are only being told "how" to scan, but not "why" exactly we're scanning for them.

things we need in pokemon go
- remote lucky trades
- bottle caps (item to increase IV's)
- batch sending gifts to friends
- daily raidpass that can be used for remote raids
things that need to be reworked
- pvp system (turn based)
- mega evolutions
- XL candy's
things we do not need
- pokestop scanning
Don't forget rework gyms. It's so pointless to put your strong Pokemon to defend it, you want it dead by the end of the day
And add potions in every completed tasks or battle against team rocket, especially grunts

We did got Mega evolutions and xl rework and there is no need for bottle caps iv are pure luck which is good

Better idea: *have Niantic use freaking google Earth and update the pokestops that way.*
this isn't to update pokestops. They're building a live 3d render of every point of interest in the world. It's beyond marketable and could make them a ton of money but we get poffins!

@@Jimarillion if they get several people recording the same area repeatedly they'll be able to build a 3D map of most important area of the planet. AR using VR headsets or smart glasses would get elevated so much if they sold that data to others or rented it out. it's definitely possible to profit but ideally they'd make the information publicly accessible

Don’t really care about doing work for N without pay but giving a company that much information is where I draw the line, I know they get so much data just from us playing already.

I mean, i have been getting field researches from spinning mostly gyms and i don't really do them but, i appreciate this.
So.... First they try to get us to do the work for free with normal pokestop rewards, hardly anyone scans... now they throw in PowerUp Pokestop feature to try to bamboozle us to do the same thing.... the ONLY benefit would be for Gyms to get significantly better rewards from a powered up gym... doing this with Stops or just gym stops (with nothing extra for a raid at that gym) there is no really good incentive to do this. The rewards for taking the time to do this, not to mention data usage for the uploads, is not good enough to warrant spending the time doing this. Better rewards and better raid rewards from powered up gyms might change peoples mind but as it stands now, the rewards from the power ups dont make it worth your time. Should get raid passes, incubators, etc as rewards... if the rewards were GOOD it would be worth the time to do it. Even as it stands now, the new PowerUp feature doesnt really seem to make it worth the effort.

Weren't scanning Pokestops a problematic thing where it suddenly removing them when it was supposed to be an eligible spot as well? We prefer you do the work yourself to scan places Niantic or as compensation, give more better rewards :)

alot of us are bound at home and cant go out to gyms or pokestops, so is it possible to have an alternative ??

It´s a trap to delete pokestop.
How?
Some pokestops get removed because the location/object sometimes gets removed for IRL reasons (governments or owners of that place decide on it), even graffitis/murals sometimes get covered and if we scan them, Niantic ends up finding it doesn't exist -> PokeStop removed.
such a myth haha, scanned many stops that dont exist and they are still there, by many i mean >600, used my 14 day quota numerous times
how this is even related to pokemon games ? this just seems like free work they want us to do for them...
My real annoyance with this feature: Where they placed the new scanning button. They put it on top for gyms so now when I want to quickly drop pokemon in gyms I just keep hitting the wrong button

Sure is fun when a gym is blocking you from joining a far away Raid because the game is *FORCING* you to scan the gym, *especially* during raid hour... (I still had 2 faraway raid passes left when I got blocked)

Hope they instead give a PokeStop in my town. We don't have any. And potential players won't play because of not having a PokeStop nearby.
Lol I just wave my phone around randomly until enough time passes that I can hit the stop button, and I still get the rewards.
I've enver been a fan of spinning a stop and getting a scan task, and now they're trying to entice people by giving extra stuff for doing more scans? I just want the regular tasks!
How are you supposed to go a full circle arround a stop that is placed on the ege of a bridge or on a Wall?

So........ How do I begin the scan? There's no option on anything of mine that says anything to do with scanning. I've been deleting these scan quest since I pretty much started in 2016. Never seen a option for it. I've clicked the option button and what not at the PokeStop disk spin thing and nothing comes up about scanning so idk what to do besides just delete the quest. That and tbh I don't see a point in scanning b.c you do a week worth of quests and just to get the same pokemon for the 20th time in a row that's only a 1 to 2 star pokemon

After hearing the quality of the sound effects in Pikmin Bloom it really shows how bad the sound effects are in Go. Please consider adding sounds that don’t sound like they are originating from an IPod Touch in 2012

I only do Poffin scans, give us more poffins, lucky eggs, incubators, star-piece, incense, lures and I'd do it real good.

I cant scan anything my phone doesnt support ARcore what do I do? Scans are useful now since powering up.
I scan to be rewarded with poffins. Just remember everyone else doesn't have any clue what you're doing. So it's not a good idea to scan if others might think you're videoing them!

the gym we have here already changed its structure but in the gym its the previous landmark so i guess its useless to scan now.
I’m confused on how I got 8 Poffins without buying them bc I don’t remember completing AR mission tasks. However, I do remember scanning a few places and actually scanned and levelled one up. I’m not sure if u get rewards such as Poffins for levelling up a Pokestop/Gym but otherwise can someone suggest how I got these bc I don’t know how I got them.
Edit: By levelling it up, I mean I powered up one Gym by scanning it and that was the last required scan to level it up.
Start not taking off pokestops after people do scanning, and we could think about it.

@@sneakyg1250 because it's TRUE. A gym at a McDonald's was based off a statue, which was there before remodel. The gym was later removed after AR scanning started. The McDonald's is still there, but the statue is gone. They are just getting us to do their dirty work.
@@brenniquahill9898 erm either a player submitted a removal or mcdonnalds asked for niantic to remove it. I have submitted over 600 scans of my hand blocking the camera and/or the ground
@@sneakyg1250 i have a gym near me that is a basically art in a wall and now the art isnt even there anymore so now its just a random small wall with no art so scanning may be risky because theyll notice there is no reason for it to be a gym anymore
@@KingCrow404 itll only be removed if someone marks it as invalid stop/removed I tested it in the city I live in, through wayfarer itll be removed. We dont see the scans in wayfarer...
i just go near to the gym and open the camera scan. Then i start recording my own foot and walk where i want to go even if it’s already far away from the gym cz it still works.

I saw a review where they say you just have to pan the camera from left to right, rather than walk around the pokestop. I havent tried it as im too low a level yet to scan. (but they keep asking me to scan)

Pokedaxi I think the name is has a good guide you can use to help you
might be a duplicate stop, ingress uses more 'stops' and thats one reason it can get denied. Try wayfarer and youll see the brain ded ppl on there submitting pokestops/POIs. A statue in your garden will get denied. Best suggestion is that if you check and its not on ingress and/or pogo submit a google maps 360 photo of the place and publish it before submitting the stop so the reviewer will see the POI

Don't remember why I lost interest in the game but based on the comments kinda glad I did. I don't have a gyroscope to use this anyway. I think they updated beyond the scope of my phone.

Yup, they missed the most important part, how to make the scanning start. Ive just wasted 20 minutes in a storm trying to do this task and could not find the simplest of things....
