BTW, welcome to Moxie Draws! (name isn't set in stone yet) this is a brand new Moxie2D channel where I'll post exclusively art content, and it won't only be Pokemon art.

For skoulder = skull + shoulder, the "fire word" it also sounds like is smoulder, what a fire does when it's not quite gone, slightly burning but with no smoke. So the name is perfect!
also sounds like scald as well; referring to being scalded by heat. and the move Scald ofc
MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY. The way he spelled it also slightly references the word "Ghoul"!!! That name was so perfect and eclipsed the quality of the one that came before 😅

Whenever I see Moxie's fakemon I always just think "that's too cool to be a real pokemon, game freak could never." Really cool designs Moxie!

Funny how fans used to not be able to fully capture the Sugimori style back then, but now the official art style shifted just as more fans are starting to get really good at the previous style.

I love Moxie's art style. It really makes his fakemons looks so legit like real Pokemon since it shows so many expressions and shows the fakemon in all of its glory just right, not too much and not too little.
Saiyabolt is the definition of "oh yeah, this thing is balanced"
i mean Zacian Crowned and Shadow Rider Calyrex exist so at this point it would fit right in eh?
@@fenchellforelle I mean, yeah they are OP, but there's OP and there's "here's a mon with 175 atk and speed with a pretty good stab combo that can hit as hard on physical and special"
Mixed attackers are a very good asset to a team, but they're generally held back by the fact that 1) they can't invest everything in one offensive stat and 2) said offensive stats aren't as high as a specialized attacker (either physical or special). Saiyabolt has neither of these problems AND would have the 3rd highest speed stat of the game, after Deoxys Speed and Regieleki, + be in the top 10 of the highest attack stats. That thing is a monster among monsters.
It's worth noting that Saiyabolt has an interesting weakness built in. There are moves and other effects that can overwrite a target's Special Ability. If an opponent can hit Saiyabolt with one of those, like Skill Swap, Worry Seed or Mummy, thus taking away its Physicality Ability, then any move it has that would normally be a special attack would be thoroughly hosed.
@@CosmicPlatonix Indeed, but those are few and far between... That weakness does exist but it's a really meager one.
@@siragon756 Meager or not, it does make for an interesting game design, especially when you take Nuzlockes into consideration. Because you'd already know that either this thing would be a titular Legendary or on the Elite Four, you'd have to plan out your team around this absolute beast. It's Cynthia's Garchomp all over again; find a Mon with high defense stats and a good countermove (or just bring in something with Trick Room) and this thing goes down. However, by bringing in a Mon tailored to this particular boss, you'd be bringing down the team as a whole.
I've always thought AI Art wouldn't take over, however, I was thinking it would actually be used for something like this where you take the pictures it creates and turn it into your own. Basically inspiration
AI in its current state is a good way to get promots for ideas of what to draw.
Yap. It helps quite a bit when your "imagining cool stuff" part of brain feels too exhausted or when there's just nothing there (insert tumbleweed reference here)
Same, that’s exactly how I thought it would be used as well. It’s a tool for an artist’s ideas, not a full takeover
nah its definitely taking over, the ai has using is crazy old. if you use a newer one it'd look indistinguishable from an actual art piece. Someone actually won the state fair recently with some AI art.
@@y.gyerin474 If it takes someone several weeks to months to make a painting, and someone created ai art in a few weeks and still won over the humans, i'd say thats a pretty good example of taking over.

I like these more than most actual Pokemon designs from the last 5 years.
The state of pokemon design is so sad, gen 6 is when the cracks started showing, but after that it all went downhill and it's not getting better at all. One of the only cool things to come from the new gens are regional variants, and I don't understand why they don't just make ~50new mons and then just make 70-80 regional forms/new regional evos. Hell even the regions look terrible now, super barren and devoid of anything. 2d/2.5d/top down 3d is the only good format for pokemon unless it was on a more powerful system.

let's be honest, Gamefreak is not creative enough to come up with designs like these. These are MUCH better than anything GameFreak came up with in the past 8 years or so... and it's sad cuz literally just one guy made better Pokemon designs in like 1 hour

There was many problems with Sword and Shield, but Pokémon designs was not one of them.

I'm always blown away by how talented Moxie is. Your art is always the best. I also think making pokemon off of a random word generator would be a fun video to watch. (Maybe even taking the words and putting them into the Ai generator)

Okay just Saiyabolt's first pose shows off a 10/10 tail - like it looks so dynamic and good with all of the tails in the franchise I don't know why they've abandoned the floof and I don't know why it works so well on it
saiyabolt is cool but wouldnt really work as a pokemon because is its ability is taken away it cannot use special attacking moves
@@kaoden_just change the ability but somebody please no matter which magic or hypnotism you use add this pokemon in anime fighting type are wasted by designer's take the new torous for example they just change color and now it's a fighting type how does a four legged wild bull which look like a dark type more had a type based on martial arts where is sense in it
As an artist who also enjoys using ai to get concept ideas out, this is cool to see. I do agree ai could be detrimental to the industry if it's not figured out, though I disagree with other artists who outright disavow ai. It's literally another tool we can have at our disposal, and that's rad.

Yes! It's a good TOOL, but not a replacement for real human artists. It shouldn't be a final product on it's own, but it's a good base/reference for an artist to actually shape it into something

An idea for the grass dragon 2nd stage name could be "wyrthorn" (wyrm and thorn) so it doesn't overuse the "spike" part and it sounds like an actual upgrade from the first stage
Also sounds like “wyvern” which is also a dragon
And if it had a final evolution, it could be smth like Spearociraus (Spear, ferocious, and velociraptor

I feel like the shiny versions are not getting enough recognition because holy fuck I would shiny hunt every single one of those Pokemon.
I felt like Spiketile could've been some sort of baby watermelon Pokémon; the black dot in it's chest being a watermelon seed. Evolving into a full-blown, watermelon-adorned dragon in its final evo.

Ideas for the Grass Dragon names: Cabbagon (Cabbage + Dragon) and Celerake (Celery + Drake). They both kinda reminded me of cabbages and celery with the way you designed them and their colourscheme so I thought I would include them in the names
change the cabbage into spike because the first form dont have cabbage
@@joelandworldofgame2697 Spike is way too generic of a word for a Grass Dragon Pokemon. Just calling it a Spike Dragon doesn't fit well for the Grass Type. What if I changed the Cabbage to Lettuce and now name it Lettizard (Lettuce & Lizard) Cabbages i'll admit don't have that spiky feel to it however, if you look at strands of Lettuce, they can look like the frills on a Lizard. Adding the Vegetable elements into this pokemon's name gives it a unique identity. It starts off as a Lettuce Lizard and then ends up as a Celery Dragon since Celery are long vegetable sticks technically.
My point is, just adding spike in it's name with Dragon is very cliche and basic since Dragons are already spiky thanks to their scales. I mean you wouldn't rename Dragonite as Dragospike because he has a spike on his head would you? Or changing Hydreigon into Hyspikon since it has spikes all over it right? It sounds boring and bland

I love the electric fighting type concept! It gives me a legendary vibe and its INSANE! I would shiny hunt that thing, I'd even say that it DESERVES that custom move!

A fire ice type or a fire water type would be really interesting to use the AI for as the type are generally quite contradictory!
I can't imagine any fire/ice Pokémon that wouldn't be artificial. Even then, figuring out a coherent design is a brain bender.
Speaking of contradictory types, Grass/Fire based on a chili pepper.
AWESOME ART AS ALWAYS! Skoulder is my favorite. I have another suggestion. One of my favorite Pokémon drawing vids is from rubber ross where he gets 18 different content creators, assign them to a different type, and have them all draw Pokémon in garder phone. I think it’s whould be cool if you choose your favorite out of the types and drawing them.

Originally used to describe the embers and coals of a not quite dead fire it refers to a low, consistent burning. It's also more commonly used in modern-day as a descriptive of an individual giving an intense look, bonus points if said individual is typically attractive

One cool idea I saw someone mention in a comment section somewhere was to do redesigns of dual types where their secondary type becomes the primary design element-like if Garchomp, who is a dragon/ground type (obviously), got more “ground-y” visually.

I absolutely adore all these designs!!!! They're fun and well thought out. I can't pick my favorite. Awesome stuff
Deigns are super cool. A lot of the AI prompts looked like clumps of existing Pokemon mashed together without much attempt to blend them, but the designs you then made based off of them looked polished and distinct without feeling like they were taken from combinations of exiting Pokemon pieces.
As a bit of a point on the naming, I'd have given the grass dragons a "thorn" theme rather than "spike" to drive home the grass type. Baby dragon also had a bit of a mantis vibe, but exploring that would take him more into dragon-bug territory.
God damn, your Pokémon look so much cooler than the original from the past 7 years. These Pokémon are creative, and not just a fridge, keys or a microwave. Love their design!

I love this! I could watch you make pokemon designs all day. Absolutely so cool to use AI like this, since i really think this is how AI will be used by artists in the future if theyre not already ( esp in the concept design industry). I wish i could try it out for concepts myself. I myself like drawing "cursed" looking pokemon like in my profile pic haha!
This is a great example of what I think the intended utility of AI Generation tools are. They're tools for artists to use, not replacements for artists.

This world is rapidly passing away and I hope that you repent and take time to change before all out disaster occurs! Belief in messiah alone is not enough to grant you salvation - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36) if you believed in Messiah you would be following His commands as best as you could. If you are not a follower of Messiah I would highly recommend becoming one. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life - Revelation 3:20.
Contemplate how the Roman Empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13 over the course of 1260+ years. Revelation 17 confirms that the beast is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years going back to Babylon and before, C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate once you start a relationship with God.
Can't get a response from God? Fasting can help increase your perception and prayer can help initiate events. God will ignore you if your prayer does not align with His purpose (James 4:3) or if you are approaching Him when "unclean" (Isaiah 1:15, Isaiah 59:2, Micah 3:4). Stop eating food sacrificed to idols (McDonald's, Wendy's etc) stop glorifying yourself on social media or making other images of yourself (Second Commandment), stop gossiping about other people, stop watching obscene content etc. Have a blessed day!

I would love to see you draw other Pokemon, but with the idea of combining Opposing Pokemon Types. Like how Lanturn is a Water/Electric type, despite Water being weak to Electric. So basically 2 Types where 1 is naturally stronger than the other.

I've had this idea for a Normal/Grass raccoon spy pokémon called Raccoonescent (racoon, Reconnaissance, scent) of a pokemon that uses bark from trees to camouflage and get info on targets, or good spots for food. The bark is like a little trench coat for it

Nope. Just pure Electric. We didn’t have an Electric/Fighting type, until Gen 9 with Pawmo and Pawmot.

They all look so awesome, I especially like the electric and fighting type Pokémon you drew. The original pose you started off with reminded me of Kakashi using his Chidori which would be perfect for this Pokémon because the move is also called lightning blade

These are some pretty cool pokemon designs! I would've loved to see them in an actual game. Just imagine if Game Freak would start a drawing contest and then put the best pokemon designs from fans into an actual game. That would be awesome!
Btw: I kinda had to laugh at the Saiya name, because Saiya in Dragon Ball is a wordplay on Yasai, which means vegetable xD
