- I just found a website that generates new Pokémon with AI - so I really have no choice but to follow in Markiplier's footsteps.

Different people see potential in different things. He skipped some things I thought were good, but was also able to find designs in ones that I didn't. A really good video.
Harry doesn’t like: dynamic, evolved-looking “pokemon” with cool things like spikes and intricate body armor
Harry does like: small baby-looking round creatures with big eyes and minimal detail
Words cannot express my distaste for the accuracy of this statement.

I think the AI is much better at generating simpler designs than complex ones

I‘m a bit shocked that most top comments only focus on what potential designs you skipped, when there‘s so much to love about this video! The editing is phenomenal and I wasn‘t bored a single second. Your commentary is hilarious, and I laughed when you just glanced at the camera without saying anything! Moreover, the art is awesome because you can clearly see the base of the AI with some polish & thought infused in it. The names are also very clever and round out the designs. All in all, super cool vid!

I like the concept a lot. The only issue that I take with the video is that I feel like there were a lot of decent opportunities of concepts to innovate off of. Unless I'm misunderstanding and the goal is to take what the AI creates and try not to deviate too far from it, but a few of them I feel like could have worked if you just gave them a face or tweaked a feature or two
Thanks! My thinking was, indeed, to stick with the AI designs that were basically finished straight out of the generator - evidently, based on much of the feedback, I probably should have made this clearer. Live and learn, I suppose!

Maybe I'm wrong but the video AND the pokemon designs themselves would've been a lot better and more entertaining if you had actually gave what you claimed in the vid, which is a GENERATION. All you did was design cute roundish pokemon. Is this your generation of pokemon, a generation filled with useless crappy pokemon that will make me ask for money back if I had bought the game.
@@medo05511 I mean he mentioned that they needed evolutions still, so i think there would be some more powerful-looking mons in there if he expanded it to a full gen.

The AI Generated Pokemon looks more like beta designs, could've been more creative on the redesigns but over all i like the normalization of the generated mons

I'm convinced that the "it looks like Digimon" crowd haven't seen many (if any) Digimon because I have and let's just say Gardevoir fans would be in heaven.
I had to make a bunch of them in the style of Pokemon sprites on commission and I was worried that I'd need to age restrict the rose dominatrix.

Not all digimons look like that, though... Obviously, there are different styles for digimons like there are from pokemons. It's quite uneniable, however, that Gabumon would look very out of place in Pokemon, as well as Charmander would in Digimon.
