Well, lore wise the scientists didn't classify clefairy as fairy type until Kalos. Does this imply that the damage dealt to a pokémon is socially imposed to it??
@@Luanmm If this was the case, I could see some kind of ability where a Pokemon changes the type of whatever it attacks to be super effective. I think that may be a bit too gamebreaking to implement in a real game, but that would be very cool. I think hidden power actually does that already in Pokemon Arceus, but I'm not sure.

i find interesting that you mentioned in Mambane's pokedex entry that THE SCIENTISTS were debating wheter it should be a dark type or not, are the scientists the ones who decide the type of each pokemon?, isn't it supossed to be somekind of natural law? maybe that could work if Mambane had an ability or something that made its type ambiguos in battle.

I think its more like they have trouble determining its true type
The Type Classification was most likely made by humans, and are based on a Pokémon’s moves, appearance, and behavior.
I believe in Pokemon X and y, it was stated that the fairy classification was a new classification, and that in the cannon, pokemon were given this type. So I think it's more of a matter of the classification of what humans perceive as types

Not sure if it's intentional but mambane is very close to the word membrane, which is a barrier to selectively prevent/allow stuff through. That works very well with a liquid/viscous pokemon that injects poison.

Hey Ron, I've got a question about Hydreef: What was the thought process behind giving it more mammalian paws, as opposed to the graspers the A.I. 'mon had?

I feel that Foxplode would be part of a two stage evo with a pre evo of like furnade fur and grenade and I could see it being like a gem nine fire fox of some sort

It seems they've just gotten rid of the feature to randomly generate a mon that is based purely on a certain mon. But they've added a paid feature for some reason which allows you to specifically generate legendary mons.
Really? I visited it a few days ago and it still had the feature.
who would pay to use this tho.

I did randomly get a legendary once. It was electric type, and looked like a frilled lizard.
Foxes are my favorite animal, Fire and Dark are my favorite Pokemon types, and I too have a very quick temper.
I need a Foxplode.
I was able to see what a challenge it would be not to make it look like an already existing Pokemon, but I am delighted that you decided to do it anyway.
I think the dark markings of foxplode's ai generation look more like a cloak which adds to the dark typing in a neat way. This ai is pretty incredible, despite sheer similarity to thievul and vulpix. Wonder if the "cloak" could also just be singed fur to tie into the fire type as well. I think that would make it a little more unique from those two!
I feel like Mambane is the middle stage evolution of a a Pokemon that starts a just a snake but turns completely into venom in it's final stage so it can be more like water.
My opinion on each fakemon:
- Hydreef: I like it, it looks very unique. I would've loved to see what you would do with the weird pinkish end at the tail. I give it 7/10.
- Mambane: Love this one. The name is probably the best of them all, and the level of uniqueness is very surprising from an AI.
- Feralloy: My favorite design of them all, although I like some of the features the AI put that you took away, like the lines in its neck.Still, an iron dragon dog! And it even looks a bit like a manticore thanks to its tail. My favorite one, and I wish it were a real pokemon.
- Foxplode: Again, I prefer the AIstyles more, but yours is good as well. I wish you kept the feminine part of its design though, it kinda got lost in the drawing.
Still, excellent video and very well done interpretations! If you want to make this a series in the channel do it!
Love the fox at the end, was afraid it’ll look too similar to existing foxes but the round shape makes it less fox like in first impression. Like Bakugo as a Pokémon
I was messing around with the generator before a few days ago and it got me really excited to see you take a spin at it. AI for art is a really interesting topic to me. I don't see it ever being a replacement for real artists but it can be a good supplement and open up new ideas that a human wouldn't be able to come up with on their own, especially when it's based on random generation
I love the care you put in to crafting realistic sounding backstories for each Pokémon you create instead of just focusing on its appearance and attacks. Each is a cohesive creation that looks like it belongs in a Pokedex.
I love Mambane. Its abilities are very well thought out as is its lore. I love snakes and there really can't be enough snake Pokémon. I don't think we have a Fighting- type snake yet, so this was cool.
Foxplode is epic too. Foxes are my favorite animal, so idc how many we have already lol. Fire works well with foxes, and we actually don't have a Fire/ Dark fox yet (there aren't enough Fire/ Dark types in general. Might be my favorite combo idk). I like that you showed the struggle with the face and not wanting it to look like an Eeveelution. I think the final face was a good call... it looks more aggressive than the Eeveelutions, and they all have short snouts. I love it and would have one on my team. I'd technically be more likely to use this than Mambane because of its typing (Fighting is actually my least favorite type), but I think Mambane is just a bit more creative and its design is the most cohesive.
I feel foxplode is Bakugo from MHA in pokemon form. Agressive, explosive, and distant from others, that bakugo right there. Also the colors are the same! Great Mon all around thought

With Hydreef and it's "shooting trash out of the water at high speeds" dex entry, it should have some kind of signature move to encorporate that.
I'm thinking a water type version of fling maybe that deals multiple damage types based on the items being held (like fling should).
the mambane dex entry threw me off a bit lol. i feel like the word choices of "venom" and "injects" weren't really conveyed that well by the design and the part about it maybe being dark type was interesting. other than that these were all really cool, i like feralloy

The generator gave me a cute water/fairy bubble octopus thingy that I might actually add to my own Fakemon region and give it evolutions
It also gave me a small ice bear that my friend stole when I showed her XD

For mambane I was thinking non-newtonian fluid kinda body at first but I think the direction you took it was easier and more effective to incorporate! Nicely done!
Still think it'd be incredibly neat for the poison method to be more defensive, like the liquid solidifying upon taking a forceful hit, just for the fist of whatever made contact to sink into it reliquifying, transferring the toxin and effectively trapping the victim's extremity as the harder they work against freeing the hand, the harder it is to remove. Thinking an ability on something like that would be something akin to poison point, but badly poisoning the victim because the longer they stay in the toxic body, the more poison they absorb!
The Fire/Dark fox literally looks like Thievul and Vulpix's common ancestor.
I kinda feel like doing pre-evolutions for these, just for fun

I tried this and got a Grass/Poison type that made me think of a koala. A fitting type for one, really
I love Hydreef and the design, the Pokemon and the design are so cute. I also love Mambane because it's cool and pink. And Feralloy looks so cool I love it. Also Foxplode looks cute and it looks like an Eeveevolution that I want to be real.
Feralloy’s design kind of reminds me of a horned lizard.

This generator is great. I've created a whole bunch of Fakemon using it. (Edit) Also, I would catch a Foxplode and name it Bakugou.

I know you mentioned you'd seen the Drawfee video, but when I was watching it, I couldn't help but think of how perfect it would be for you, so I'm glad you did it too! As you said, the more people doing things like this, the better.
I think it would be interesting if you were to generate two Pokémon and then try to design a middle evolution

Every Brazilian pokemon fan in existence is flattered with the maned wolf (Lobo-guará) inspiration, I'm in love with foxplosion
I feel like with the name and nature of foxplode being explosion based, I feel like incorporating a fuse in the fur somewhere would have been a really good touch. Otherwise, love it!
The Foxplode could be a fox with some "black flames" as its furs on some parts (around the neck, the tail, etc).
You're super talented, Ron! You deserve more subs!
I could also see Foxplode as a Pokemon that will sneakily burn down other Pokemon's dens and either during the chaos or after it burns out, it runs into the wreckage to see what it can steal, protecting its loot in its fire-proof fur.

Just so you know I admire your work. How you can base Pokémon off of popular media is amazing. I want to be able to draw and create like you. I already tried making a Pokémon based off of sonic.exe. It’s a bit plain but it has an idea that is pretty unique. You’ve inspired me to create Pokémon like these. Thank you.
Foxplode's base generated image looked like it was a type-swapped Jolteon, making me thing it should have been something like a new tier of Eeveelution with dual typing

i would have loved for mambane to be this fighting pokemon that performes katas and stuff like that to flex and while doing that it shoots af its venomous liquids and give him a signature ability that turns physical fighting moves in special fighting moves and adds a 30% chance to poison the target
mambane is so incredible, my favorite pokemon is hawlucha and it has a similar yet different feeling to it. i love it a LOT and i would consider it one of my top favorite pokemon of all time if it were a real pokemon actually in a game.
I actually recently did some fakemon using the website myself and was thinking of commenting about Ron trying this trend, so glad to see him doing it!

I know that wasn’t the intention because it was generated through the AI but that does give me an idea for a new series, similar to the video game one. Anime characters but turned into Pokémon? Or Pokémon designs inspired by anime characters? Amazing video as always!

Of all these Pokemon, the one I would most want to be incorporated into a future game is Hydreef, by a long shot. Foxplode is in second place, but like you said, similar ideas have already been done multiple times.

Hey Ron, with Mambane, wouldn’t it be cool to give it a steelworker like ability except for dark type moves? As you said, it is often thought that it should be classified as a dark type, so I think it would make sense thematically, like how dhelmise has steelworker because it is an anchor

I did roll up a couple of my own after Drawfee's episode on it (it's a great subject! No complaints about anyone making use of content like this from me.)
The first I got was a Fire/Fairy sheet ghost with fox ears and one eye. Not a Ghost? I refined the body shape into a bean with a fox tail, gave it floaty black Haunter paws, and covered half its face with a lock of fur. Reynoct, the Foxfire Pokemon. It uses its luminescent white body to distract onlookers while it steals items from their Bags with its dark paws. Trainers who follow Reynoct into the swamps the Pokemon call home are rumored never to return. Reynoct learns moves like Will-O-Wisp, Dazzling Gleam, and Mystical Fire.
The second I got was a Steel/Dragon that looked like a horrendous mess of tangled limbs over an asymmetrical quadrupedal body, onto which Reshiram's face had been pasted. I fell in love with the steel-blue body and the red plumage and spikes, and thought that I could remove the Dragon typing, clean up the tangle, and interpret the features as being a Steel-type Eeveelution. I love designing Eeveelutions based on existing features in the Eevee family, as they're genetic mutants. Armoreon has a crest reminiscent of Vaporeon and helmets, and what turn into the diamond ear ornaments on Glaceon have merged with Armoreon's ruff to form a hard prow-shaped formation resembling a high gorget, which can also open into a toothed false maw for greater attack. Its fur flows over its shoulders like a cape, brushing the ground on its right side. Jolteon's spike tail is reflected in Armoreon's fan-like tail.

I was really hoping Foxplode would only have three legs to really make an interesting silhouette. The AI art really looked Iike it just didn't have another leg.

I've played around with the generator myself and had some interesting 'concepts' for Pokémon come up. I for one would like to see more.
I found this website by complete accident after taking the concept of RubberRoss' Silhouette gartic phone episodes where I made my own versions of the Silhouette's they made. Have a bunch of images saved that I hadn't done anything with yet. Your video's recently have brought a little glint of inspiration back to me and maybe soon I'll work on some for myself. :)
Rule 34 artists are going to be all over Hydreef, and not in a good way 😅

Are you using drawing hardware + software and if so what do you use? Everything looks great!
I think the shiny Foxplode would look better with a white mane. The colours look so similar, that I don't feel like there's a desire to pursue it. I like shinies like Chandelure with the orange flame to contrast the original blue flame.
