Yeah I would love for this to become a series. I feel like he could even do more with it, like randomly generated words to make into Pokémon or to add to these animals. It’s also really good creative practice and I might try it myself.

I agree! I really feel like Ron has a good grasp of how to design a Pokemon. Manati and a few other original creations of his are ones I'm legit sad that we'll never get to see in game. Unless Game Freak hired him as a designer and/or commissioned his designs, which they totally should!

@@ksoundkaiju9256 That's true, but we have a kangaroo native to one of the Japanese regions, zebras native to the New York region, pandas native to the French region, and anacondas native to the English region. A bear covered in shamrocks in an Ireland region makes more sense to me

I tested it out by myself, cause I will eventually do this, but 90% of random wiki pages are uninteresting small towns or generic pieces of land. I'll probably just skip those though.

The avocet pokemon could’ve had a pollution theme, I love how they came out but I thought an oil spill water bird might make sense too
That’s very similar to what I was thinking, too!
I was thinking its natural habitat could be polluted waters, but it evolved into an ice type because it needed to be able to freeze the water to make a barrier to protect it from the pollution.
But of course, its species still absorbed a lot of the pollution which was then passed down to its offspring, giving it advanced poison abilities

In my opinion, the bearded dragon might look more like a psychic type. It doesn't seem like one. It would be soo cool if it beard was made of mystical/psychic fire like Endeavor or Emboar.

Absolutely love Manati! Manatee's have been one of my favorite animals since I was little, so I love finally seeing them in pokemon form. Add to that that I love the night sky, and the siren lore and you basically made a pokemon that speaks to me on every level.
fan lore: Clobear comes from a region based on Germany. it evolves from Berabush at level 16, and into Metield at level 36. Metield is a dual-type Grass/Steel type Pokémon. It is known as the Guardian Pokemon. Metield is covered in thorns that resemble barbed wire. While a very powerful Pokemon, most Metield are very caring creatures. They live in forests, and are usually seen as the Forest's Guardian. In the ownership of trainers, Metield are loyal, and will help their trainer with whatever they need.
Scientists believe that Berabush and its evolutionary family are very closely biologically linked to Beraburn, a fire-type Pokemon from the nearby Torhelv Region [my own fan region, based on Switzerland]

Beardruid looks so cool! I think it's colour scheme looks a little off and it's shiny doesn't help but I still love it. Also I play a lot of DND and that is the only reason why I know where its name comes from.

@@nickdentoom1173 It also has amazing bulk , it's statistically a fusion of Reuniclus and Musharna. Which lorewise makes a ton of sense. With magic guard , cosmic power , calm mind , moonblast , and recovery , it'll be amazing. If It had a fairy typing it would be perfect competitively.

Also the final evolution of the fire snake is a fire/water type with bubbles, the water platypus is water/grass type kappa ludicolo thing, and the grass bearded dragon is a grass/fire and a literal dragon.

And then a random picture (i got a picture of a protest)
Wo what about, a deer pokemon which stands up for other deer pokemon being hunted for their antlers
I havent really thought of the design for this, the typing is fairy(fairy as not in "uwu cutesy wutesy litle pink" and in real pure fighting for good)/fighting

@@spookysunglasses4004 you could try to make it something super hero or guardian sorta thing with that concept. A Super hero concept would go good with the fairy typing while also keeping the fighting type well represented

This should become an ongoing series. These were just too good.
I saw the thumbnail on Twitter and just had to go and take a look! All of the resulting designs were amazing, as always. I even got to learn a little about the Avocet, which is a bird I haven't heard of either. Avicet is one of my favorite Fakemon out of the bunch for this reason. This whole video seems like it would be a great exercise for artists and could help with artist's block too. I would love to try this out for myself and see what I can come up with. Anyways, keep up the good work Ron!

These are pretty well done. This idea might have actually pulled my fan region back from the dead. I mean, not literally using whatever combo I get but using generators to find combos that work.

Another technique I've seen for randomly generated pokemon design is adding an object from a random object generator as a design motif almost. I think it helps give a pokemon some uniqueness when there's not much to be gleaned from the type combo and the animal. That said, these designs are great. Love Manati
something you could have done with the bearded dragon concept is something with beardies anatomy called their 'third eye' which is on the top of its head in its blind spot- itd fit super well with the psychic typing too. that eyespot senses light and lets the bearded dragon know if something like a predator is coming from above/behind and helps with its sleep cycle. also- bearded dragons neck turns black when theyre being aggressive or agitated. i think it'd be neat if their beard only turned black during attacking or when afflicted with a status condition:D honestly fire/psychic is such a good and unexpectedly well fitting type for a beardie, i might have to make my own interpretation.

I always look forward to these kinds of videos because of how talented you are and how good of a source of inspiration they are. Case in point, I attempted my hand at this and this were my first results: Coyote and Bug. How in the hell can one make a coyote-based bug type Pokemon?!!
Fun fact bearded dragons have a third eye, on the top of there head it looks like a small dot and it is used to sense movement and shadow to avoid pretitors
Love you work man. I don't know if you've already done this, but I'd love to see you tackle mythological creatures like Dryads and Nagas. I bet they'd be awesome.
You could always add Beardruid in the region for lore reasons! For example, it could be a pokémon who take a pilgrimage (haha, get it, mage) to Asone. Beardruid could gather in the region as a way to establish their sense of family and community as a species, or they could simply go and hone their skills. :)
I think the only disappointed with Clobear is not having super luck.

For the Avocet, cold temperatures cause sickness, and some birds are known to carry disease. You made it look awesome. Just trying to add to the concept.
The grass bear could be a starter for a new region. For my Australian Pokemon region, my Grass starter is a koala/drop bear.
The bearded dragon and mannatee are awesome.
Manati is really cool, gave me an idea of a floating island pokemon. Kinda like torterra, but floating/flying high in the troposphere
