Whoever captured this footage of the dogfight in the air, is a master of his craft. And, the editing was amazing too.
Does anyone else really appreciate the combination of great photography, natural sound of the birds and the selection of great music to heighten the action? I was on the edge of my chair watching this. I love documentaries like this --- and especially with birds.
This footage has become one of my favourites and the white bird is Damn beautiful while the pirate bird's are truly pirates with the ocean and the chase...it was really like a movie!

2:20 - the way the thief bird caught the regurgitated fish in mid air was all that I needed to freakin give this video a like ...
Yes, This shows animals are more than what we think ...that thief bird is so aware of its surroundings that sees the moment the other bird drops the fish...also so accurate catching that fish in the air before falling to the sea

Trust me, they have. F22s and Su 50s are capable of things these birds aren't, but obviously these birds are also capable of things no fighter jet is capable of

Frigatebirds are very agile and aerial. They can stay airborne even for months without landing. The sky is their home. They even sleep on the wing.
Imagine if someone took this audio and reenacted it in a grocery store with humans. That would be priceless.

In Hawaii they are called "Iwa" birds, pronounced "Eeva", and when I was a fisherman there I watched them glide for hours without flapping their wings. Fishermen in Hawaii use them to catch Pacific Blue Marlin because the Iwa birds follow the Marlin, hoping to snag the small baitfish Marlin push to the surface when they feed. "Follow the Iwa bird, find the Blue Marlin."

You actually mean, jets look like the White-tailed Tropicbird (Phaeton lepturus). Tropicbirds have been on our planet for millennial eons. Manufactured, operative jets haven't been in our world for one century.

An arms race in the air. Frigate birds cannot win the war or else complete victory will wipe out their species. The other side has to find ways to survive the attacks. It seems both populations are thriving. Balance of nature. Beautiful video. Thanks
