Massive props to the creative photographers who go out of their way to devise such intricate ways of capturing these moments in the wild
The first two and the last segments of the countdown were narrated by wildlife filmmaker Gordon Buchanan. He also filmed the wild alone and up close in series such as "Polar Bear Family and Me", "Wolf Family and Me", "Gorilla Family and Me"

Hank is a man of focus, commitment, sheer will... something you know very little about.
Without question, documentaries have been the thing that I've enjoyed most from the BBC over the years 😊

Just to clarify, I don't personally work on the documentaries. I'm just a watcher of them. Kinda feel my original comment might have stirred some confusion 😅

The first bird is really a good artist.

U want blue?
Birds really are one of the most fascinating creatures of our planet!! Kind of sad how one of the most common bird in my city, the house sparrow are now nowhere to be found. I miss seeing them and their sweet chirping.
I daily feed them outside by house and they are a lot
I feed the birds in winter here. a joy to watch them.
Keep polluting the earth!
Qq
That is so sad to hear! I love sparrows so much. I feed them during the winter
00:23 heyyy its the lemme bird!!
Finally, I know where my nerf darts went... Full internal happiness.

The bird literally asks the girl to marry him with a ring XD

I like birds so much evey morning they singing for me and waking me up outside the window. When I hear their songs. maybe they're just arguing. I knew I'm still alive and it's a new day again .
The first bird is a very good creator. What I noticed the most was how only one of his eyes turned blue..
I couldnt focus on the first clip because of those gorgeous purple eyes
Thank you for your email
You provide a glimpse into the neighbor’s who we share this planet with. Thank you ☺️
Clip with Hank the Heron is so marvelous!
I wonder what the bird used before all those plastic caps
I also asked myself that, but you can see blue flowers and feathers laying around there, too, so probably just more of those!
SEA SHELLS OR SEEDS AND FLOWERS MAYBE
They also use blue berries, either by putting them around their bower or crushing the berries and actually painting parts of their bower blue.
@@wolfformwow. That should kinda count as primitive tool use
@alfredforbessealy524 It is very fascinating, to be sure. Similar to how corvids in the city will take a hard shelled nut, drop it in the crosswalk for cars to crush open. Afterwards, they wait for traffic to stop and fly down to munch the nut meat before the light goes green again. We have become their primitive tools!
Bower Birds are absolutely fascinating. Each and every one has this weird, complex, and often very colorful ritual they have to perform for a scrutinizing female.
Crows also like shiny things.
Generalising women isn't funny
Don’t you mean magpies
How lovely they love to decorate their house, just like us. Sadly their decorations are plastic.
I don't think they mind... So long as it's blue. 😏
Aw the first bird with the pretty blue eyes likes his blue trinkets. Adorable 💙
I want to give those birds all the shiny blue things
You gonna crash the bird shiny blue thing economy! lol

It’s sad that all of these birds’ treasures are really just trash. Wonder what it would have looked like if there was no trash.
So trash gets this bird laid? I need to reinvent my game, being bested by a bird
And we humans do the opposite
Well...rings, diamonds , and jewelry are essentially trash. There's no true value in any of them!
How many efforts the birds spend to make the net 💙💙💙

Birds are just amazing.
1:49 so thats there the nerf darts went
Superb job in all such enlightening documentaries, especially fascinating the narrative of Mr Attenborough.
Isn’t it amazing that some still don’t want to to see the ‘ Glorious Design’ in all that.
A bird near my pond uses a rod to catch fish and then goes to the market and sells it to save money in a Swiss bank
How exactly are the dolphins and the egrets "working together"? I must have missed that part.
It seemed to me that the egrets were just opportunistically scavenging the fish from the dolphins. You might even say they were "stealing".
Call it Tax
I think attenborough was just being polite
Where ever Mr David is, its beautiful
I can see the birds alive hard💕 Thanks for the great video✨
5:24 This is the equivalent of me swimming in a pool of crispy, honey-cured bacon.
2:00 MOM THE BIRDS, they are STEALING OUR NERF DARTS AGAIN
Awwww a young David Attenborough
How nice the dolphins are.they are feeding the birds with love and affection and enjoying so beautiful wonderful and lovely
As beautiful as it is to watch this, it's also heartbreaking how our trash is part of their world, too.
Guy: "How do you like my crib girl?"
Girl:"its pretty good!"
The bowerbird really got catfished lmao
Omg the nerf darts. So THAT’S where they go

Dolphins behaviour was awesome😍
Hank: dumb geese this is how you do it!
What a wonderful beautiful technique.
BBC Earth I love birds 🐦❤😍thank you so much
I'm sorry but those egrets are just freeloading with what the dolphins were doing.
Lel it’s nature, species survive off of “freeloading”, es smart B)

How they find such beautiful Stones and jewlery?😮

Enjoyed the segment about the Florida Scrub-jay (Aphelocoma coerulescens).
We've learned a great deal more about them since that segment was filmed, too.
One example is that for many years, it was assumed that individual birds never flew greater than a 5-mile radius from the location where they hatched out.
But, that assumption was debunked when a Florida Scrub-jay leg-banded in a St. Lucie County ecological preserve later flew 12.5 miles south to a state park. There, it remained for nearly a year until it returned north again, but to a different county preserve. The return trip was closer to 13 miles.
Family groups remain together all year long. But we've since learned that the territories they protect and maintain may differ significantly between the breeding season and non-breeding season.
Fascinating birds, especially the egrets strand feeling with dolohins in South Carolina, too.
Wonderful 👍
Huge work, great patience and a strong will is required to make such beautiful documentaries 🙏
So beautiful birds... Liked it.. nice ..
Maybe the most weird behavior in this video of of humans taking a dead burrow bird, putting a robot inside it, replacing the eye with a camera, and placing it near a burrow with tons of fake blue jewelry around it, all to trick a bird trying to do their mating ritual.
Cute ...meow.....
