      INCREIBLE PERO INCOMPRENSIBLE bruh- this isn’t a human. Weak animals will die in nature anyways. If she lets it survive then it will take away resources from the healthy and strong one and reduce it’s chance of survival.

      I think about that. Like it goes for both sides. An animal could spend all it's energy hunting only to wind up exhausted and starved.
      But on the other hand having a bunch of animals biting you and ripping things away while you can't go anywhere is something.

    The Sardine segment is quite possibly the single best piece of cinematography Ive ever seen!! The sweeping dramatic music and the amazing underwater camera work are absolutely brilliant. And to end with footage of the whale finishing it all off it completely out of this world. Should have been the number one segment!!

      Like some random ass space battle. Where there is a lot of gets fight off some giant alien organism (sardines) and then reinforcment come up. Or like some horror movie, where sardines are fighting for their life and they losing to enlarging force. Truly beautiful

    My dad was one of the Royal Marines escorting Sir David Attenborough when they were filming life in the freezer, he even has a book signed by him that apparently all of the boys got!

      @@mnomadvfx I believe it was more of a precaution. It was only a small team that went with them, all of them trained for survival in the arctic/extreme conditions. If I get more info from my dad I'll let you know 😊

      "This guy?" You mean David Attenborough, the most recognized, adored, famous nature documentary maker of all time?
      Not just his voice, but his face, he is way more famous and has been for way longer all around the world.
      He's a national treasure in the UK but I'm not from the UK and I've watched his documentaries all my life.
      I actually can't believe you would think he'd be interested in narrating the life of an actor- he is doing so much more important conservation work, not least making incredible documentaries like Blue Planet, Human Planet and many more which EVERYONE should watch.

    David is such an icon - read his Wikipedia page and I had no idea that he's not only 96, but has 20+ new species named after him as well!! To have seen and experienced so many wonders of the world in your entire lifetime must be so amazing. Not to mention he's the best narrator - when I go to watch nature documentaries, I always look for something David has voiced first!

    I once made a mistake listening to Sir David’s youtube videos while trying to fall asleep, since his voice is so calm. Ended up watching A Life On Our Plannet and Life in Color till sunrise.

    I think it looks so cool how the shoe bill can keep their head so perfectly still while moving their body. I know this is common with many birds, but it is so very EXTRAORDINARY when the shoe bill does it!

      This is the magic of evolution.
      A niche allows for a change in species size due to more prey, and then natural selection fills in the blanks to allow the species to take advantage of that greater size effectively.
      It's like nature is a vast neural network, but adapting on a scale of millennia rather than days/weeks.

    The sardine feeding frenzy has to be my favorite Attenborough moment. The music swelling, the different groups of animals, the editing, and of course the man, the myth, and the legend, Sir Attenborough narrating every action keeping me intrigued all the way.

      Dude, these are a critically endangered species, and a predator at that, this is nature’s way the weak perish and the strong live to pass on their genes, but I do agree that the younger should have been taken to a sanctuary BECAUSE it is a critically endangered species

    The Sardine fish school getting hunted was, by far, the best montage I've ever experienced in a documentary.
    Truly Cinematic with a golden sprinkle of 'Sir' Attenborough's voice.

      There was a programme on TV about the forest that is being planted across the Commonwealth - essentially across the world. During it, these two unflappable nonagenarians took a walk through Buckingham Palace's "garden". It was a hoot! They were chatting away like old friends and they've both got a wicked sense of humour 🤣

      It's interesting that we as humans developed the sensation of injustice when that happens by creating such wealth for all. All other reasoning and animal structure would understand that the right of the winner to spoils in a very resource restricted existence.       I find it rather revulsive because it's not so much the mother than the first born initiative. Owls and birds of prey kill one/some of their chicks when they are not able to feed them all, and give the sacrificed chicks to feed to the others.
