Took my wife shopping for her first set of riding gear yesterday. She picked these shoes out.
And just as you pointed out they look great …but they have very little, if any, real protection! Even the ankle pucks are minimal at best. There is no shank, no toe cup, or heel cup. Honestly, It really doesn’t qualify to be advertised as a legitimate riding shoe at all.
For $199 a riding shoe should deliver a LOT more than just looks.
I wouldn’t recommend them.

Waterproof?
These shoes are not waterproof.
These shoes are not suitable for riding a motorcycle with a manual transmission. The left shoe rubbed in the place where the shifter touched. This happened after 3 months of operation. The manufacturer's website says that the shoes are designed for riding a SCOOTER!
Lmao if you’re worried about scuffing your shoes you shouldn’t be riding at all

I would recommend a shoe/boot with shifter protection. Even with protection, they will get scuffed.
