Exactly, it's just another privileged person. Honestly, the world never truly sees us how we see ourselves. So trans people so heavily depending their mental health and well-being on how they are perceived by society is ridiculous. However, they do it. They need to learn to be happy with themselves and how they see themselves. Instead of depending on the world to make them happy because the world will ALWAYS be disappointing in that regard.

The problem is that it's the UK. The UK has more than bent over backwards to accommodate trans people, it's bent over so far that it's done a 720 degree spin. The people in power are so terrified of being accused of allowing any sort of "bigotry", "hate crime", etc to sink in that they'll literally ignore crimes perpetrated by minorities, because arresting the people doing it would make them seem "racist" or "phobic". They've had police officers show up to peoples' houses based on liking a twitter or facebook post. Not making the post themselves, just UPVOTING IT got them a visit from the police.
The UK has become a laughingstock. Even more so than what's happening in the US.

If someone who sounds like a man is attempting to get a hold of an account of someone seemingly named as a woman and is passing all the security questions. That means one of two things. Either a it's an ex-lover attempting to get a hold of Sophie's account in order to wreak havoc on her life. Or b a trans person who just needs their account to be sorted. But it's in the protocol to pretend always that u need one or more questions - the idea is for the customer not to know how many protocol questions there are or why for obvious security reasons of the sistem itself. Even taking extra time or giving up info too fast can garantee u 3 extra questions in between the, "how is the weather" to confuse u of the total number of questions.

Bruh, I'm a biological female who constantly gets called "Sir" on the phone due to my low/deep voice; and I'm sorry for those who gets easily offended by it, they need to grow up and politely correct them. If they're tired of being called the wrong pronouns, on the phone, maybe they need to get surgery to fix their vocal cords, it's a thing! And if you're trans, INFORM THE PEOPLE ON THE PHONE THAT YOU'RE A TRANSPERSON, it's not that hard to politely correct someone without getting offended! People really need to stop acting like random people can read minds or knows you by heart!
If you have a low voice, the person on the phone will assume that you're a man; if you have a high voice, they will assume that you're a woman (or sometimes a young boy)! And for those who don't know, when you speak to somebody or record your voice on a device, it makes your voice sound completely different than your natural tone. Try recording your voice and listen for yourself.

And he wants the entire world to bend to his will and play along or else he will snitch to the cops. And if you noticed, the police told this guy to “report a non-crime hate incident” which is where the British police keep records of LEGAL SPEECH AND EXPRESSION that someone found offensive. So, the UK police is now policing legal speech, they show up to your home to say, and I quote, “you need to check your thinking”. Can you even imagine? The police coming to your home, threatening you with their authority, BECAUSE YOU DID NOT COMMIT A CRIME? Because you said something someone else did not like? What sheer blinding privilege that must be to exert the force of the state on people who say legal things that you do not like. If I was on the UK I would be reporting everyone in that system because the idea of “non-crime hate incidents” is such affront to human rights of freedom and expression, that it offends me to my very core. I live in Scotland and this whole island has gone to shit. You can actually be arrested if someone reports you to the Police for saying something to them that hurt their feelings, and to top it off the Police refuse to take reports of racism if it's directed at a white person. As an example a non white guy posted "ki** all white men" and that was allowed but a white guy posted a comment supporting Israel and was visited by the Police. It's also not counted as an actual hate crime but because it's not an actual crime the Police have started a list of what they call "non crime hate incidents" which will come up on your record in a background check even though it's not a crime. It's crazier than you think. The whole world has gone nuts, wish you all the best over there too.

I worked in Business Banking for this particular bank for over a year, they are pretty well known for their borderline paranoia when it comes to banking fraud/security checks, so I am not at all surprised someone failed security due to their voice not matching the profile, even during training I was advised, "when in doubt fail them, cause hurt feelings matter less than fraud"
Overall I worked in call centres for over a decade and I lost count of the number of calls I had that due to a terrible connection, I had no idea of the gender of the person on the other side of the call.
The above person was looking for a situation to cause a fuss over, cause no matter what the agent did they would have lost, if they willingly passed a person through security without being positive of their identity and fraudulent activity were to occur, it would most likely result in their termination.

I worked in a bank call center and yes, this is a thing that we were told. If the voice does not fit the possible gender then it could be a fraudster and shut it down immediately. People who are in this situation, when you make major changes in your life you need to inform businesses that you deal with on a regular basis. This is a security issue. The last time you were seen by the said company you were a man (or woman) but you transitioned into a different gender and didn't tell anyone. I know in my work center when we went through the ID process for a persons account there were places to make and read notes. This is something simple and yes I've seen notes like that. Usually, the notation was, Client has a Masculine (or feminine) voice. People need to stop blaming others and actually take responsibility for their own lives.

These are the same kind of people who would feel targeted and "in danger" if their trans status was on the bank's database, while feeling targeted and "in danger" cause their bank don't know that they're trans.
Bruh, as a trans person I worked very hard to pass. I did all such kinds of bullshit just to feel more comfortable with myself and in turn make those around me more comfortable with who I am cause they don't know what I am. What I'm trying to say is, you're not a victim if you're unwilling to tell people what you are or unwilling to train your voice.
