- There are two boat launches at Taw Caw. One is on Lake Marion and the other is a launch right in the park. The launch in the park has an isolated body of water.

Great video. I recently got into kayaking. The area where I live in NC has a lot of rivers. I’ve been out as much as I can. The problem with a river is you need to be picked up or drop of a vehicle. Keep up the videos.
Exactly! It's no fun paddling against that current. That's really why I got a creek boat. Now I can go almost anywhere I couldn't with the kayak. The down side with the creek boat is that I caught up on shallow logs sometimes.
Agree with Coffeeborn, this is a very good video. I like that you are exploring the different public ramps on your favorite lake. Hopefully you and Nancy will kayak from the grassy ramp to see what is there. Weird that you did not see any gators. They probably saw you, though. 😃
Jose, you know they were eyeing me up for sure. It was windy so maybe they were back in the swamp. It was a nice day though.
Hey mam that landing u put in at u can get too taw caw park when u put in it's a ditch on left back in a pocket most of the time it's clean cause bass boats use it too get across also if u looking for more places pine island is good one and the cuddo unit is another nice one too ride around or paddle around but cuddo is closed til oct 8 and I'm very surprised u didn't see a gator we really enjoy ur videos we have a John boat maybe one we my girlfriend and I see u out we like going too Elliot's landing another good one is hickory top landing way off road but nice place

Glad you enjoyed the lake. I realize it wasn't busy but please get your boat ready in the parking lot and not on the ramp when it's busy.
Yeah, it's a lot easier when there is more than one ramp.

Thanks Gina. Yes! I've encountered many out there on the water. Check out my latest video "Bates Old River" where I saw at least 5 of them. These were small ones but still intimidating. The one at Goodale was the largest I've seen - about 15 feet. That one scared the crap out of me. I got out of there without a photo. Those gators are really fascinating creatures. I'm always mindful of their presence.
The other side would be better it does not look like there are a lot of houses and there would be less boat traffic.

Hello, how often do you go to Taw Caw? Also, where did you get the trailer from?
I’ve only been there a couple of times. The trailer is a 4 foot Harbor Freight trailer that I basically built to fit my boats.
@@donnabonfrancesco6222 Ahh, okay. I wasn't sure on the trailer. I kind of figured it came from Harbor Freight. I, sometime in the future, plan on doing the same thing. I, also subscribed to your channel. Like you videos!!! You might see me around Taw Caw sometime.
@@scjamiewd4 awww that's great. For those creek boats, they are flat on the bottom so I just got a 4x8 piece of plywood and covered it with indoor outdoor carpet. My buddy helped me extend the tongue so it's an easy pull.
@@donnabonfrancesco6222 Not a problem ma'am. I got a Caiman back in 2000 and used it until 2007 and due to work and family, I gave it up. So, after 17 years of non use I decided to get mine back out again and start using it. Just might see you around if your down that way. Also, do you mind if I send you a request?
