- BOOM!
We're back with a full comprehensive guide on the LONGBALL, the PING or the GOAL KICK!!! Today we're looking at the tecnique to make sure that your hit will go farther than half field or 60+ meters!
Whatsup keepers!
I know so many keepers have been begging for a new goalkick tutorial so here we are with the goods, the full secrets of the goalkick and how to make sure you are using the right long ball technique to get your ball safely across the field into your teammates hands!
So our longball can be broken down into three phases
1. Set up/ Preparatiom
2. Run Up and Plant
3. Strike and Follow Through
Each one of these phases are essential to building your long ball!! So remember if you mess one phase up the next phase will be already having a negative outcome!

Fantastic. Best breakdown of the proper form I’ve heard yet. Very clear what needs to be done. It’s also clear that you’ve been teaching for a long time. Being a good player doesn’t automatically make a person a good trainer and coach.

YES!!

Struggling with this , Best instruction thank you !!
Thank you so much, I've been struggling with my goalkicks
I hope it helps!! let me know how it goes and which tip helped you most
@@ARSGoalkeeping
Kicking the logo of the ball and with the good run up technique, really made my shots feel way sturdier
Thanks for breaking it up into steps. No one literally taught me the intricacies of shooting before this. This is really effective man.
We need a “yeah” counter for berto
I knew this was coming
@@ARSGoalkeeping yeah
hahahahahahahaha
It's not Berto. Its Birdo. :D
This has to be the best long kick video i've seen (and I've seen a LOT!) Thank you Alberto
I’ve literally been taking goal kicks for years and to be honest they’ve been so inconsistent, this video really helped me understand why they have been. Thank you so much😭 cannot wait to fix it from here on!
This is the best tutorial I have seen in CZcams regarding long ball. Thanks bro
can you make a keeper workout tutorial including agility and plyometrics thanks
I should get on this since I cramped up in my last match XD
This is one of the most detailed videos of about long balls I've seen "yeah".
I draw power each time I say yeah
Definitely my favorite goalkeeper channel, you are honestly amazing and have helped me a lot, good luck on the road to 1 mil.
We're trying! with support like yours 200k already feels like 1 million
I agree with you. Helped me become main goalkeeper in my club first year!
@@greensphinx I became major keeper in my club after first season I got only 8 games first season but when we came up against div 1 my coach said I'm gonna start and I had the game of my life had a 9.4 match rating at the end from my coach
Thank you for a very detailed explanation and visual! I will do this practice in the next week.
Keep up the good work mate!
I like this teaching with clear explanation. I've been looking for this kind of teacher. Your really the best, I won't go to any platform anymore
The best breakdown that I have seen!!! THANK YOU!! We need more like this.. especially working on your weak foot.
Thanks for the tips, yesterday i picked up my first career injury(I broke my finger) so im pretty mad and sad, but i just love watching you videos, the tips really helped me and i really apprecciate your channel.Wish you the best luck man.
love the explanation and the breakdown of the steps needed for a proper goal kick 👍.This is far by the best explanation in the internet
Cant wait to try it out on Saturday, thanks as always alberto
Thank you so much, I have been looking for a video like this for long time
Very well explained. This helped out a lot. Keep up the good work!👍
For me, this is the Best I have ever came across, Nice tutorials sir. I Love this techniques and I believe it will work for me
This is the best goalkick video i have seen and i have seen a lot!
Thanks so much I had trials for my country and my kick outs weren't good but thanks to you I mastered kick outs and I made it👍👍
Great video as Always Alberto
another honourable mention is The modern GK's tutorial helped me a lot, now I can kick 60 yards with both legs. My advice as someone who was very very bad at gkicks is practice as much as you can.
Between drills or even when out field players go for a water break, really just set a target and try to hit that number everyday.
And watch that video every day and visualise yourself hitting the ball 60 yards
Been waiting for this forever! Love it!
Happy to be of service 🙌🏼
Thanks this has really helped with my kicking. It hasnt taken long to see the big difference with it!🧤
That’s what I love to read!
How long did it take you?
@@petkabrncova888 bout a week
thank you for the advise i really needed this
Amazing sir. All the other videos talked about hitting with the bottom but wasn’t able to get it till I saw this video .
Great breakdown on this kick.
16:30 BEST EVER
Hey man. I am an mallu from kerala ✌🏻😁
I like the detailed steps and thorough technical explanation you gave, I'm not playing soccer anymore but these really made me wish I can (because of knee injuries 😅)
Absolutely needed this. Starting back up tomorrow from not playing since high school, and even then I had someone else take my goal kicks. Looking forward to taking these tips and implementing them in a full practice session (after a less-than-stellar game tomorrow haha)
You got this!!
best goalkick tutorial on youtube

Best demonstration . Wonder full communication ..
Thank you so much 🤗
Buen video. Good work.
Will definately be a video I'll keep coming back to.
Past couple of months I've been hitting it a bit better but way more to go. Can only hit around 35 yards connecting at point on a high fence that's about 3m high. Anyone else at this range? I feel maybe my plant foot is possibly too close and not getting enough torque through the swing as I feel a good connection should get a "oomph" when connecting the sweet spot
Needs a lot more work
Great tips, thanks
Thank you for this tutorial 🙏
cheers! thanks for watching and commenting
Best Chanel ever 💯
Thank you so much for watching and for the kind comment!
Thank you so much
Best gk coach bruh really the goat
This really helped my U13 keeper understand proper form. He was really putting all his might behind his goal kicks but lifting his foot.
Ur best man awesome tutorial
i kicked to the midpoint for the first time yesterday after watching this video ... omg thank you so much for the breakdown 🙏 have been watching ur videos since i was a kid and im now an adult !! hahaha
Happy to be able to help over all these years!!

Really good tutorial thanks
🔥🔥
great video, thank you so much, this should work
Very good video👏
Fav goal keeper channel, hope u make it to 1 mil(:
ME TOO! Thank you for watching and commenting
I’d consider myself to be pretty good at goal kicks and can consistently hit about 40-50 yards. But I still got a lot out of this video. For example I noticed from this video that I lift my foot a bit early, that should give me more power and importantly backspin which I seem to be missing. Thanks a lot
Love from India❤
Excellent. Thank you so much for this really good explanation. One really important thing you may want to add is to make sure that when your legs lean to one side, your body needs to stay upright and not 'lean away' with the ball. Dropping that shoulder into the ball and counterbalance with the opposite arm is hugely important. Well done and thank you again, off to practice ...
By lean away do you mean a bit backwards because that also helps with height
thanks man
What a video man
Thanks!! this one spent a lot of extra time in editing
i have a question , is the contact with the ball is the same as the last video on goalkicks ? because there you said you want to hit the ball under the big toe and here its something diffrent, btw great video
Great Video Amen!
PREACH!
great video! thanks for your sharing
Thank you for watching and commenting! 🙏🏼
One thing keepers dont keep in mind, and one thing I noticed that you didn’t mention. That is, when you’re looking at the ball at the point of contact, you make a better connection. Keep your eyes on the ball while striking through it

I will support all your videos though!
Great video

Would be great if we could get a slo-mo close-up of your foot making contact with the ball.
What’s the best goalkeeper gloves that I can use for about 5 months on any weather and has good durability?
Excellent!!
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment!
@@ARSGoalkeeping The running should be slow or come fast as much as position.I see in this video it is all about technique
@@alexmpoke2610 Start slow to focus on contact then start speeding it up, the more speed you add to the run up the hard the hit
@@ARSGoalkeeping The problem I face is you have three issues to look at the same time;
1.where to plant the foot
2.where to hit the ball
3.where to take the ball to.
Thank you so much I have a habit of shanking it off to the side
Ederson has joined the chat. Aha
Wonderful content Bro. Keep it up.

Very good explained
Thank you for watching and commenting !
I don’t know if you’ve done this in the past, but could you make a video that shows some goalkeeper drills to do with the help of 1/2 strikers. This season I joined a new team and I have to think of drills myself because there are no goalkeeper trainers there, but can’t seem to figure out some good ones. Tips are very welcome!
+2! This would be helpful with me and my friends.
Hey Alberto can you review the Adidas predator pro hybrid 1.0 please they look nice
What’s the best gloves for durability that can last at least 5 months of training or games?
Hey alberto
Nice video as always but still i cant get the ball high it just rolls we have no grass and it is full of stones in the ground please help
Thanks. I scored from goalkick today
Geez that's a lot more than 65 meters!
yeah
Nice vidéo
Cheers! thanks for watching and commenting
Supperb 1 new subscriber is added please make video on how to take free kicks ,whipping crosses and korner kicks
Great video Alberto!!! I have one question what is the best goalkeeper glove for skinny fingered keepers that want a snug fit?
Gotta go with a negative cut style glove!!
@@ARSGoalkeeping THANKS sooooo much ,end of my glove searching hunt!!!!!!🙏
@@hudsonfcofficial5044 Or maybe its the beginning🧐. Lol jk, but it does narrow it down for the future.

Soccer ball???
I am jokeing!!
Hello, I love your content, I just wanted to ask if you train on real goals or on the smaller ones
We train on full size regulation goals
@@ARSGoalkeeping Ok thx
Excellent video, very helpful, thank you sir !
When you go to kick the ball does your foot have to be open the whole time.
hey great vid! if we have problems can we send a vid for critique
Thank you so much. My problem always would be hitting with the ball with the knuckle of my foot, so everything from the run-up to the weight on your plant foot was tremendously helpful. My only question is, when I lock my ankle should I curl my toes, or just point them down. Once again thank you so much!
Point the toes down like a ballerina foot!
@@ARSGoalkeeping Thank you!!
Yea....yuh......hell to da yuh!
Ye!
Can you react to modern goalkeeping and your thoughts on him love the content
I’m thinking about it, most people know that I think he’s a clown
I am 14 and can hit a goal kick 50-55 yards. Is that good or even average for my age)
Ive seen that people say to do a straight run up too. I’ve even seen pros do a straight run up. Which one is more effective fore distance?
It comes to your body shape, a straight run up for me makes me over swing my leg and mess up the hit
Can you make a video about side volley? It'll be useful.
Soon! This video took a lot of planning and practice my side volley needs a little more work before I’m comfortable teaching it
@@ARSGoalkeeping ok, i'm waiting 👀
What are those goalkeeper pants they look great?
These are the Jako Striker Goalkeeper Capri pants. They are pretty comfortable and the padding is perfectly balanced between beeing not to thick but also giving you the protection you need. I highly recommend them.
Greatings by Joshi 👍🏻
At last a tutorial using the right leg to ping
well im doomed. i can't open my foot up for the life of me without causing an immense amount of pain to my left hip. My only kicking options are top of the foot (laces) or the outside. Great breakdown though!
can u make video about how to sidevolley
please
Of course!
Why when I kick the ball is curve?
Excellent video, but I much prefer "the art of the long ball" on youtube. 100% recommended if you're looking to take the long ball to the next level
How long do you think this technique would take if I do it everyday like get it pass half field line?
Don’t over do it because you can hurt your leg and groin from over kicking! But if you practice well enough you will start noticing a difference in 2-4 weeks
@@ARSGoalkeeping thanks but like how many times per week should I do it so I don’t injure my leg muscles? And like the more I scoot back or go far like the balls gets lower no height but more closer I get for a distance the ball goes high or I’m just overthinking it?
Ya
my 12 year old daughter is struggling to kick the ball off the ground sometime what the best way to start her getting the lift of the ball
Focus on hitting underneath the ball and keeping the toe - heel down. To practice stand about 15 -20 ft from goal and have her try and hit the cross bar once she gets that down it will get a whole lot easier
