  • BOOM!
    We're back with a full comprehensive guide on the LONGBALL, the PING or the GOAL KICK!!! Today we're looking at the tecnique to make sure that your hit will go farther than half field or 60+ meters!
    Whatsup keepers!
    I know so many keepers have been begging for a new goalkick tutorial so here we are with the goods, the full secrets of the goalkick and how to make sure you are using the right long ball technique to get your ball safely across the field into your teammates hands!
    So our longball can be broken down into three phases
    1. Set up/ Preparatiom
    2. Run Up and Plant
    3. Strike and Follow Through
    Each one of these phases are essential to building your long ball!! So remember if you mess one phase up the next phase will be already having a negative outcome!

    Fantastic. Best breakdown of the proper form I’ve heard yet. Very clear what needs to be done. It’s also clear that you’ve been teaching for a long time. Being a good player doesn’t automatically make a person a good trainer and coach.

    another honourable mention is The modern GK's tutorial helped me a lot, now I can kick 60 yards with both legs. My advice as someone who was very very bad at gkicks is practice as much as you can.
    Between drills or even when out field players go for a water break, really just set a target and try to hit that number everyday.
    And watch that video every day and visualise yourself hitting the ball 60 yards

    Past couple of months I've been hitting it a bit better but way more to go. Can only hit around 35 yards connecting at point on a high fence that's about 3m high. Anyone else at this range? I feel maybe my plant foot is possibly too close and not getting enough torque through the swing as I feel a good connection should get a "oomph" when connecting the sweet spot
    Needs a lot more work

    Excellent. Thank you so much for this really good explanation. One really important thing you may want to add is to make sure that when your legs lean to one side, your body needs to stay upright and not 'lean away' with the ball. Dropping that shoulder into the ball and counterbalance with the opposite arm is hugely important. Well done and thank you again, off to practice ...

    • @user-xt7jq8qp9x
      @user-xt7jq8qp9x Před rokem +1
