You don’t get all the same lights in a 2020 S5 coupe like near the shifter, is it possible to add them like for example the amber light that goes across the dash. I’ve only seen the s5 coupe with amber lighting on the doors

Hi. A big question to ask. I have 2019 q7 Technik. I can change the lighting like you but the LEDs don't stay on like your car. They fade off after a few seconds. Any idea? Thanks

Hey I thought I was so close to figuring this out. Okay so mines shows the interior lighting but it has the circle logo next to it ( u use it to browse through) I click on it and it only shows the off - brighter meter not the colors at all. Can you help please

Hi thanks for the video. Quick question does the LED light strip that’s just below the shifter seem a bit dimmer than the other sides? It might be because when a driver is sitting and is looking down at a steeper angle it may seem dimmer but I’m trying to confirm with other owners... I need to know that everything is working properly on the car I’m in... thanks!

Thanks for the video. I just got my 2019 RS5 and have been playing with the ambient light settings. What I find very strange is how the different color choices seem to vary in brightness even with everything dialed to max brightness setting. For example, the Maritime Blue selection seems to be 2x brighter than any other selection for both the contour and interior lighting, but the footwell is very dim. In Individual, you can change the colors but the contour and interior lighting seems a lot dimmer, with the exception of the footwell, which comes on really bright. Does anyone else notice this?
Congrats on your RS5, what an awesome car! I have never noticed this issue in the Q7 but I was playing around with a prestige A4 one day and it did the same exact thing with the individual mode being much darker than the other modes. This obviously seems like something audi can quickly fix with a software update unless they did this on purpose, something I can't think of any reason for them to do so. I would maybe go to your individual mode and turn the brightness all the way off, and then all the way on again?

If you have the white LED Lighting, you would need a hardware and a software update.

Can one set the door strip lighting different between top and bottom
At 1:18. The rear seating light up near the roof. Does that always stay illuminated? I noticed it yesterday while driving at night but swore that you had the option to turn it off. I clicked on it but it just turned the rear light on not the outline if that makes sense. Thanks!
Danny Gonzalez thanks for watching. The ring outline always stays on, no way to turn that off!! The buttons upfront by the sunroof controls will only turn on, set to open door or off the main led reading lamp but not the ring!

Hey,i want to buy an audi q7 and the dealership say it has only 3 colours,the red,blue,white,and another red ,does that means it has prestige package?
On the Q7 the only trim level that has any color options is Prestige. All others will only have white interior lighting. 👍 This is for the American market, other markets could be different.
Is the ambient lighting for all models of the A1 or just the S line models?

Hi there, just got the 2019 premium plus and it says we have the led interior lighting pack but I can’t change the color? Is the color part only on prestige? If so can I add it as I’m sure it’s just a firmware thing?
Danny TeeBone congrats on your new Audi!!! The color options are a prestige feature only on the Q7,Q5,A4 and A5 (might be different on the 2019 Q8, A6, A7 & A8). I am not sure if it can be changed through coding, but it could be a possibility. Maybe check the audizine forum or a Facebook group? Thanks for watching 🙌
Thx for the fast reply! I don’t see why it would not be; since the lighting is essentially there and can even already change colors based on them changing from red to white for drivers assist features currently. We are essentially just locked out of the feature, should be able to have programmed in if assume. If anyone knows a who or how to please let me know. Thx all! Keep up the great work!

Gaas A you totally should have the ambient lighting. To access the lighting menu you must go into vehicle on the main menu in the MMI and then click the left menu button and go to vehicle settings. And then you will see interior lighting. It is all explained in this video.

Gaas A I would call your local dealership to ask them. Unless audi decided to turn off the ambient lighting in your country while driving for safety reasons I believe you should be able to have them on while driving! Hopefully you can figure it out!

overhead reading lights go on to get more light in the cabin when opening the doors?
Karl Claussner there is a button on the overhead console that shows a picture of a door open. That will have the reading lamps turn on when opening up a door at night.
It only shows the brightness of the ambient lighting, it doesn't show the colors for me, help
I have this same problem. Is there no way to change the interior lighting considering I have an audi sq5. I know the car has red interior lights because the audi drive assist turns red when it turns on.

How to activate this option on my Q7 2018?
Some Q7s may not have this option. You need to make sure you have the upgraded ambient lighting package otherwise you cannot change the color of the lighting.
Anybody know how to get into advanced menu to enable interior lighting package for non-prestige, 2019 Q7? I have lighting, so probably just a software setting, no?

Impossible for you to have it since they only offer that package for the Prestige Model since it has extra hardware thats necessary.

Yes 2018 and newer Q5 with the prestige trim level!
Does this only work at night?
Yes
These go on when the headlights go on so if you have them set automatically then yes but you can always switch on your headlights during the day which will also turn the ambient lighting on.
They could make it buch brighter like mercedes, its just to idk dark
