    To start things off I'm talking about something that just recently came to my attention. Apparently they still make cassette adapters, but now they have Bluetooth! This is a quick look at one I bought to see if it works.
    TLDW; It does work, and sounds really good as well. If you want the full story, stick around.
    Comments are encouraged, either about the product, or about the video itself. Thanks for watching.

    Pro tip: For those BT adapters who doesn't "pair" the volume with their target playback device, put the BT volume on the phone at 100%. It makes no difference in terms of sound quality or power consumption on the phone itself and you won't need to deal with 2 level adjustments at the same time.

      @AdultsHaveToysToo  Před 3 lety

      Almost always good advice, unless 100% volume on your phone means you're at like 1 or 2 on your stereo. There isn't much dynamic range at that level. You want your stereo to be at least around 10-15%.

    I have the same brand cassette adapter. Mine is the "Improved" version but it had a wire sticking out for microphone and volume controls. I cut said wire off and it works perfectly fine! No volume adjustment needed, the volume is fine.

      If I wanted a wire I wouldn't have gotten a Bluetooth cassette, lol.

    I have always loved these things for old cars and home stereos. I'm OK with wired ones.

      Oh yeah, I had a wired one in an old Oldsmobile I used to have and probably would have used a wired one here if it wasn't for how the cassette door worked. They work surprisingly well.

    just got one of these was hoping the roller wheel went back to some sort of generator, that may be a cool mod to add a generator to charge the battery as the spindle turns

    • @AdultsHaveToysToo
      @AdultsHaveToysToo  Před 2 lety +1

      Interesting idea. Wonder how much power it would generate. I'm sure it would add to the price but would be a nice feature

    Hm got one too but couldnt do anything with it because it didnt fit all the devices that you could insert a cassette. There were some sticks reaching out where the cassette was just flat without holes for these things. So i couldnt insert it at all...

    By any chance were you able to use the Next, Pause, Play and Previous, buttons to control the music? I imagine you were since it's Bluetooth.

    • @AdultsHaveToysToo
      @AdultsHaveToysToo  Před 3 lety +2

      Not the ones on the head unit other than pause play, you would control the music from your phone just like you would if you were using headphones.

    Hey! Thanks a lot for your review!!! thumbs up to the only one about this model of Arsvita (without external jack).
    Does it give you stereo sound through the bluetooth? any noise? Jack cassette adaptors are usually giving a very bad and crappy noises... This is also a good solution to use on a Vintage Blaster

    • @AdultsHaveToysToo
      @AdultsHaveToysToo  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you. Yes it comes out stereo and no, I haven't noticed any noise. Still been happy with it months later.

    they often times have problems with the cassette if u have an auto reverse cassette car stereo it will flip flop as the music is playing. if u encounter this problem open the cassete adapter and take out all the gears that came with it. i did that with all my cassette adapters and it will stop going berzerk on u hope this helps good luck

    • @AdultsHaveToysToo
      @AdultsHaveToysToo  Před 2 lety

      That could be a good fix if you have that problem. Some tape decks won't play without the gears in there though, so I would only do that if you had an issue

      Thanks. It seems good enough for my usage, which is fairly intermittent. I'll play it for about an hour at a time and drive the car once every couple of weeks. I plug it in when I get out of the car. Sorry I'm not much help there.

      I have not tried them back to back. I would imagine there isn't much of a difference, but I can't say definitely

    Does this work with a normal cassette player in your home because everything iv saw says its for a car but I dont see how it wouldnt work in a home device

    • @AdultsHaveToysToo
      @AdultsHaveToysToo  Před 3 lety +2

      I don't have a home cassette player but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't either. There's nothing car specific about it.

    • @memeco50
      @memeco50 Před 3 lety +3

      Works even better when you push the pause button and there is no moving parts sound. Like I said I love them in good old stereos people throw away.

    Would it be possible to answer the phone via this device?

    • @AdultsHaveToysToo
      @AdultsHaveToysToo  Před 2 lety

      No, this one does not have a microphone so it won't really work as a hands free system.

  • @newbiexx
    @newbiexx Před 3 lety +2

    I just bought one but phone calls quality are lousy. I can hear well but others cannot hear me well. How are your phone calls quality?

    • @AdultsHaveToysToo
      @AdultsHaveToysToo  Před 3 lety

      Mine doesn't have a mic, I only use it for music. The ones with a mic have them on an extension that wouldn't fit in my car head unit.

    • @Pokemanic33
      @Pokemanic33 Před 3 lety +1

      If I had to take a guess I'd say it's probably that the mic is small and on a short cord, so it's too far away from your face to pick anything up. It's probably like the mics in earbuds that you have to hold right up to your mouth to use

    • @AdultsHaveToysToo

      Attaching a larger battery wouldn't be impossible, but in a car the better bet would probably be wiring it in.
