Safety vs Upside in the 2030 MLB Draft!! MLB the Show 24 Draft Only Franchise E.62

- The Colorado Rockies are stuck in a bad spot. In a division they've never won in their 30 year history and it's not getting any easier. The Dodgers have Shohei and others with an endless payroll, the Diamondbacks just won the NL and have a young team only getting better, and the Padres have major star power themselves.
So it's time to try something completely new to try and overcome these odds: A Draft Only Rebuild.
A staple of the channel, the Draft Only Rebuild challenges us to build the team up using only the Rookie and Rule 5 drafts after we tear down the ENTIRE 40 man roster after the first season.
One major twist added for this year: Trades. I am allowing 3 trades in this series, but only for prospects, and only for one prospect per trade. So we will need to time them right and make sure they hit to ensure we don't waste them.
I am EXTREMELY excited for this project, and if you are too, PLEASE hit the like button on the video and Subscribe to the channel if you haven't already.
Drop any comments about suggestions for the series, I read them all and take all suggestions into consideration.

Man the draft gets rough when you have almost all your main positions filled and you are picking in the backend due to the success of your team.
@@paulmd7747 yeah we’re in a really tough spot.
Neil Dorsey is a beast
@@jackpeet8501 quite a beast
Harry Armstrong went the pick right before you at 104. Unlucky
You didn't notice it at first but you did later haha. Crazy
@@joshackley2496 super unlucky.
Fontenot would probably be too low rated. His high potential doesnt really matter if he is meant to be a backup. Might as well go for the higher OVR Vargas. I think this was an excellent draft on your part. So hard when your team is winning to get good players.
@@paulmd7747 yeah I think Vargas will start out better which is why I went that direction. I think both will end up being solid though.
Did you notice that the DO-ble is also top 3 in Runs? He gets on base, hits dingers and gets points. The Do is so much fun in how he's working out. Him and Brown are really representing for Short King power! Hahahaha
The draft went great, I would have taken the pitcher Leland over Fontinoe also, the bullpen is what needs to most resources, and he looks like a great candidate to take over Smeltzer's role.
Go Rockies!
@@Odd_Thomas yeah Brian Do is awesome. Was a perfect add to what we have.
neil dorsey triple crown watch
👀👀
Let's goo!!!
Neil Dorsey for President 🙏
He'd win in a landslide. Home run candidate.
@@fiendfranchise ngl fiend u got me thru some tuff times and moments these past mo the and I’m glad I got to enjoy these videos brother thank you and god bless you man
@@JDotfrom973thanks for supporting the channel, happy to help!
This is my first time ever playing one of the versions of MLB The show. Is it normal for it to be so easy to find good pitching prospects through Discovery but very difficult to find any other position? Every draft I can draft 5-6 good to great discovery pitchers. Catcher is nearly impossible. IF and OF are rare. It's frustrating. I end up just trading pitching prospects for the few good top of the draft to non pitchers that other teams draft and still have a loaded pitching staff
@@chrisrhodes2 yeah that’s just how the game has been with this new scouting. I would say discovering catcher is just not worth it unless that’s the only position you want. Pitchers are much more obtainable than hitters with how they’ve set up these drafts
Hans Zimmer? Really, The Show?
@@joshackley2496 these games love to make some great names.
did you ever figure a way to spot a generational SP ?
@@robertcarlyle4946 same as when I made the scouting video
If there is a player that you don't want to miss out on I have yet to comprehend why content creators have to think about taking anyone else lol
@@FarajiCouncil I’m not sure which pick you’re referring to in this particular case, but for me it usually has to do with weighing whether I should gamble on the player I want most lasting until my next pick and getting extra value or just taking that person now. In this draft specifically I just skipped ahead to my picks when usually I let the draft play out and it gives me more time to come up with my preferred strategy for the selection.
@@fiendfranchise the one where you said you didn't want to miss out on him but then acted like you were going to take the second catcher 😂 I'm like ok if you don't want to miss out on him then nothing else should be said
@@FarajiCouncil he’s a NR player. There’s a decent chance he could have been there at pick 105 so I was judging if Fontenot was worth taking that risk. I didn’t need to take him at 60 to not miss out on him necessarily.
@@fiendfranchise oh ok I understand now that actually makes sense
