- This presentation provides Ibn Juzayy al-Kalbi's authoritative commentary on the Quranic Trinity in which Christians supposedly believe. This commentary demonstrates that the Quran is completely ignorant of the most fundamental core Christian doctrine so much so that the only reasonable conclusions one can arrive at are that Muhammad was a false prophet, the Quran is false revelation, and Islam is a false religion.
True. It's also weird that the Quran repeatedly mentions the Holy Spirit but never addresses His nature, even though Christians have supposedly been worshipping the angel Gabriel all this time.
Basically its cos they don't know what a Holy spirit is. Gabriel is a jinn because he forced Muhammad to read when he obviously MUST know that Muhammad is illiterate if he truly an angel. They is no such thing as a holy spirit in Islam. Allah has physical attributes and does is not a spirit and he is one. lol

"Allah is the Messiah" was also contested by many ancient Christians, since this is improper formulation, yet the Quran insists that we say "God is the Messiah". The proper term, that every Christians knows, is Christ is God, not God is the Messiah or God is Christ, implying the entire Trinity or the Father could be Christ. The Quran does not seem to know the difference and significance between persons. Yet in other passages, like in Surah al Maidah, their god demands to know if Isa had taken himself and his mother as "ilahs" meaning, separate gods, and not in union with the 1 God as Christians believe. None of it makes sense

Muslims really don't seem to understand the two natures in Christ. They continually argue that if Christ is God, why does he eat, or get tired, or go to the bathroom, or die, etc. As though Christians believe in some gnostic way that Christ was pure spirit. They fail to grasp that Jesus was 100% human AND 100% God. That He possessed both human nature and Divine nature fully without confusion or mixture. If they want to argue and criticize that's fine, but at least understand your opponent's actual position first.
That's because logically it's quite difficult for them to grasp the concept cos they can't understand not mutually exclusivity. To them everything is physical can be comprehended by simply looking at it. In logic non mutually exclusive is there. So why can't God be that? Maybe I should use this logic when encountering them. But the thing is Islam makes use of emotional attachment and psychological indoctrination so it's very hard for them to see from another perspective.

Also, the translation you used is misleading in at least a few instances.
Anyhow, our claim remains unchallenged, which is that Muslims do not understand our doctrine of the Incarnation (nor of the Holy Tri-Unity for that matter), and thus can't ever refute us because to refute a claim, you first have to understand the claim, otherwise you simply defeat a strawman.

I've yet to meet a Muslim, either online or in real life, who understands basic Christian doctrine. To be fair, a lot of Christians do an incredibly poor job of explaining the Trinity and Incarnation, and there's a lot of bad theology out there to which Muslims often respond. But still, even well-educated Muslims (Abdal Hakim Murad, for instance, or Hamza Yusuf) really don't seem to understand what they claim to reject.
Then enlighten us with your wisdom of what the trinity is!

Great video. And if we really want to start nit-picking, there are several other aspects of those verses which betray an ignorance of Christian beliefs by "Allah".
One example is the denial that Allah has "taken" to himself a son. We don't believe that the Father "took" a son for himself. It's not the type of phrasing we'd use. We believe the Son is eternal. There was never a moment when he wasn't and then the Father "took him for a son".

I just don't see how al-Kalbi's commentary shows that the Qur'an necessarily intends for its polemic against the Trinity to be read literally. A few things:
1. Do Islamic scholars hold a similar weight as the Church Fathers in Christianity? I wouldn't be surprised, but it's important to be clear on it.
2. If they do, does al-Kalbi's commentary show that the Qur'an necessarily depicts the Trinity as including Mary, or is it just al-Kalbi's opinion?
3. Even if other Islamic scholars say the same, is it impossible (in at least Sunni thought) to say that they got the Qur'anic interpretation wrong? I suppose the retort might be that Muhammad said his Ummah would not fall into error, or something like that, but need it be understood so absolutely?
I understand a sort of "low church Protestant Islam" doesn't really exist, apart from Qur'anists, but I just don't see how al-Kalbi's beliefs indicate, _per se,_ that the Qur'an intended it literally, and not, say, as a polemic: that the Christians, along with worshiping a creation as God, basically elevate Mary to a similar level. In other words, it doesn't seem to be disproven that the Qur'an could be read in a sort of Protestant way, insofar as they often say Catholics and Orthodox basically worship Mary, even if they might admit it's not literally worship.
Mainstream islamic view is that Quran is eternal and it has polemics that aren’t even right on it.
The only thing almost eternal is how dumb muslims are, from the time of their demonic prophet to today and unto the of time to the unrepentant pigs. At least demons know they oppose God.
@@luisferreira7194 I am aware of the common Sunni view of the eternality of the Qur'an; that doesn't disqualify the potentiality that the Qur'an could be using polemics intended primarily to indict Christians on _effective_ polytheism/shirk with regard to Marian veneration. Again, it wouldn't be too dissimilar to a Protestant attacking Catholicism (or Orthodoxy) by exaggerating how they _basically_ worship Mary, even if said Protestant might be completely open that it isn't worship in its fullest sense. While we may criticize and disagree with the Protestant, it wouldn't necessarily make them wrong any more than we'd be saying, "You're wrong because we're right," which is obviously begging the question.

What the Christian apologetics purposely look over is when Allah speaks about trinity n when he speaks about Mary worship it’s separate chapters n verses which show us that Allah is actually describing two major problems of Christianity not that it’s saying it’s the same problem. If the Quran is teaching that Christians believe that the Trinity is the Father (Allah), the Son, and the Virgin Mary, then it's clearly wrong and the idea that the Quran is divinely inspired goes out the window. Qai is showing that al-Kalbi took it as the clear meaning of the passage in question that the Quran did affirm this understanding of the Trinity as being what Christians really believe.
If the Quran is correct how can it not understand the Trinity and let alone add the Theotokos into it?

And it has been remove because it goes against the verse where Jesus says « my father is greater than I ». So Jesus is putting himself below God.
Ask 50 christians about the trinity and you ll have 50 different explanation and get a headache

The epistle of John that you're talking about, everyone always knew that It was a scribal addition. No Christian in history ever referenced it when speaking of the Trinity.
I'll give you only a couple of things that testify to God being triune but because this is a comments section i don't want to overburden you:
1) Jesus commands the Apostles to baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19)
Jesus is putting Himself and the Holy Spirit on equal NAME to God the Father. It's either blasphemy or it's a revelation.
2) Jesus says to a paralytic that He later heals that his sins are forgiven. This is met by the question of the people there who say that only God can forgive sins and accuse Him of blaspheming. (Mark 2:5)
Ofcourse, with Jesus doing something that is EXCLUSIVE to God, the same question comes up. It's either blasphemy or it is a REVELATION about who He is.
3) The opening of the Gospel according to John "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... All things came into being through Him, and without Him, NOTHING came into being that has come into being." (John 1:1-3)
John, repeating the opening to Genesis of God creating the world and applying it on Jesus. Making Jesus CREATOR of everything which is a title for God alone.
He makes clear that all things that have an existence came from Jesus creating them.
He wrote this for a reason.
So, again, the Apostle John now is either blaspheming or he's REVEALING.
