Great review. Very easy for this 74 year old woman to follow and understand. I lived through the Texas freeze of February . I bought two Jackery 1000 to make sure I never suffer like that again. *Great **Generater.Systems** . Our 1st 2500W Champion backed us up with hurricane Ida last August when our whole home generator crapped out after 8 days. Love the dual fuel. Hope to never run gasoline in it.Bought this 2500W to parallel with our other one for the RV.*

Agreed and he does the video in a manner that shows he really is trying to impart information instead of promoting himself or a particular product I didn't feel like I was being sold anything I felt like I was being taught something good job thank you you don't know how long I have been searching for information on whether or not I can run an instant pot with one of these portable batteries
I wholeheartedly agree. I've been watching a lot of videos about the Jackery 1000 and this is by far the best one I've seen. I now have a better understanding of just how long I can run certain appliances for and how long it will take to charge. I'm glad I stumbled upon this!

This is, without a doubt, one of the most practical videos on this subject. What common tasks you can do with a 1000 watt solar generator. For van living this would be nearly perfect. It makes me feel better because we got ours for backup power during hurricane season. It'll run a small refrigerator, a fan and charge our phones.

Your testing is the best real life use case that I have seen. I plan to take it camping in my custom camper van for 7 days and love the way you showed a cooking use case for it which is exactly how I plan on using it. You picked good examples for the basic meals I can cook and what the power draws would be and then if I recharge it during the day how much further mileage I can get! I will also use it to recharge my laptop and tablet and phone and watch about 3 hrs of tv on it each day. I also have a portable washing machine. I plan on having 2 of them.
This is exactly the sort of tests and power clarification I've been looking for. No one seems to tell you if you can actually cook using these if there is a power outage or how much of the battery cooking uses etc.
Jackery should pay him for this videos😄
He probaly used it beyond the maufacturers expectation therby increasing the Unique selling Points

It's amazing that the microwave used less wattage than the hot pot! I tried cooking with a big pan on an electric burner and it used up over 30% of my stored energy so I think the key is using small pans 😅

Great review! I almost went with the 500 but after seeing this the 1000 seems to make more sense. Considering the fierce competition of knock-off brands, I might wait to see how much further prices might fall. As for the battery cycle life, all the more reason to get the 1000 so the cell don't work as hard on medium loads.
Dont wait to long. The solar panel factory in china caught fire this week. The us govt is now warning of a possible emp attack. Be prepared before it's too late or too costly.

That hot pot is what we in UK call a kettle. Our ones have lids. More efficient I think.
A mug of water in the microwave would reach the required temperature more quickly I think.

Wonderful, detailed video. The end made me wonder if you know about the effect of partial shade on PV though. If you put any sort of load on the panel when most of it's blocked like that you would get results that might worry you if you didn't know that's how PV behaves.
