I've been testing this product for over 6 months, I've taken it across the country to Colorado and have relied on it for countless adventures into the middle of nowhere and I have a lot to share.
This is a real overland review of the Jackery Explorer 1000 Power Station.
Also, I review the Jackery 100w Solar Panels.

    Dimensions : 13.1 x 9.17 x 11.1”
    Capacity : 1002Wh (21.6V, 46.4Ah)
    Output Max : 1000W Continuous, 2000W Max
    Battery Type : Li-ion NMC
Protection Systems : Over Voltage Protection, Short Circuit Protection and so on.
    Ports :
    USB A : Two USB-A ports (5V 2.4A,Quick Charge 3.0)
    USB C : Two USB-C ports PD18W (5V 3A / 9V 2A / 12V 1.5A)
    AC : 3*110VAC, 60Hz, 1000W Continuous, 2000W Max
    DC : DC 12V, up to 10A
Operating Temp Range : 14-104F - I’ve had this running in temps around 102F with no issues.
Included : 1* Jackery Explorer 1000 Portable Power Station, 1*AC Adapter, 1* Car Charger Cable, 1*SolarSaga Parallel Adapter Cable, 1* User Guide
    Review Pros :
Excellent quality - I’ve had no issues with this device; it has always worked flawlessly with no errors nor problems
3 standard PURE SINE WAVE AC outlets
Multiple ways to charge - Wall, DC, Solar
Power Levels is in percentages and not bars; bars are absolutely pointless and will get you into trouble as you will never be able to know exactly how much power you have left. Also, you won’t be able to determine how much power something that you plug in is being used.
1000w limit is great for running multiple items and appliances all at once and for running appliances that are under 1000w range.
Excellent Warranty - easy to contact the company via their web site and also via phone. Not all companies who make and sell power stations provide a phone number to call.
Dual Solar panel adapter cable included
    Quick Charging via all methods;
8 hours by connecting two SolarSaga 100W solar panels together with an adapter cable
16 hours to charge via a single panel -
Solar Charge times are very much subjective and will be based on solar intensity, direction and so on.
Time for full recharging is approximately 7 hours from an AC outlet
11 hours from 12v car ports but your mileage will vary as there are differences in vehicles.
Features an Anderson Power port so you can use solar panels with this system
Good weight : I have larger power stations but they are a chore to move as they are very heavy. 22Lbs, isn’t bad
If charging via your start battery when the vehicle isn’t running, it does have built in protection so that you have enough juice to start. I don’t recommend doing this as you should drain your start battery.
    Silent operation
Simple power solution for those who don’t want to mess with a dual battery system.
    Review Cons :
Wattage usage can be slow to present on the lcd screen.
    Flashlight isn’t super reliable.
    Review Summary :
Without a doubt, the Jackery brand is the one Power Station Brand that I can easily recommend as it checks off all of the boxes for what I feel makes an excellent power station.
Lots of power, excellent peak wattage range, reliable, lots of ways to charge, quick to charge, power levels are in percentages, and can be charged via dc 12v.
1000wh is an excellent capacity for overlanding and also for emergency use; speaking of which, I’ve ran this station for months now and not once have I had any issues. I use it mainly to power my DC fridge/freezer and it has been excellent.

I have been waiting for an honest review on the Jackery. It seems everyone is trying to sell you on them on youtube. But.... sponsored videos can take the honesty out of it. So glad I heard it from Luke. When you are on the fence about something, Luke is the tipper that can push you, and you can trust.

I bought a 240 from Jackery. Months later they held a promotion where they were giving away a small power bank for the purchase of the 240. I came here to see what charging cables/options come in the box, glad everything is inclusive, for this price I expected it. My SUV camping is going to be so much more easy with this power station, even without solar panels, I don't stay away from home for weeks, so charging of the Jackery can be done in the car while driving. Now I can use my Mini-Bullet, I can't function without a fruit smoothie in the morning, lol. And since I don't have a garage, no mile long extension cables needed anymore for the power tools during the process of converting my Nissan X-Trail into a mini-camper. Wonderful review!

Excellent review, Luke. I love Jackery. I did buy a 240 because that is all I can afford. I plug my heat blanket that is 12 volt to keep me warm at night and it does just fine. I first learned about them at Overland Expo. Hopefully, I can buy the 1000 one day. Have a great week.

Researched portable power stations. Jackery by far is proven the best. Your review was extremely helpful and professionally presented. I will be purchasing the 1000w this year. Jackery does need to improve the solar panel to withstand moisture and rain to provide a perfect survival kit. Until such improvements are conducted, I will not purchase the panels. Thanks again for your fantastic review.

We live off grid and have a small solar system, we also have a generator for the big stuff like power tools. We are considering the Jackery 1000 for an additional power source. We like back ups for our back ups. You gave a good review, hitting the buy button ASAP. Thank you

My family and I live in a apartment. With the economy being unstable and the government being as nuts as it has been, my husband and I figured we better get serious about planning for emergencies in case the power goes out. I saw the Jackery 1000 on Amazon and saw that 90% gave it five stars. I decided to look on CZcams for reviews and your video was the first one I found. After hearing what you had to say, I think it will be a wise purchase. I love how portable it is and quiet. If I get a infrared heater for the winter, and the power goes out, it will be perfect to keep our appliances going and our place warm!

Just got my setup going and am so impressed. I'm not sure I chose "perfectly" since in 2024 there are some new options, and I find the fixed plastic handle a bothersome element in my already-crowded rear compartment, but I got a huge deal on both the battery and the solar panel. It really is as "plug and play" as you describe, so I was able to put it into my rig immediately. If it were a perfect rectangle with a foldable handle I'd have a bit less regret, but the idiot-proof power for days is simply astonishing
Can't wait to make some outdoor off-grid solar-powered synth videos :)

I have both the Jackery 1000 and 500, plus a solar panel, all purchased in the past few months. I really love them because they are so well built and perform perfectly. Jackery has refined all their products to near perfection. I also really like my 2 huge Ego 30 Ah 2000w rigs but they are very bulky and limited to just 120VAC and USB-A outlets and can’t be charged with solar so I use them for larger AC items after major outages. I use the Jackerys for trips and as DC backup for my 12v fridge, etc. They are stored in a metal can faraday cage when not in use. For a SHTF situations, I also have homebuilt solar controllers, industrial panels and sine wave inverters and both propane and gas run generators, half stored in faraday cages for SHTF.

So this open and honest review, led me to purchase the Jackery 1000, yes there were cheaper, but i want reliability ( isnt that why we buy these in the first - to give you power when we have no other options). I did not purchase the solar panels from Jackery, as i found a better WATERPROOF version from Rockpals, for 2 x 100 panels (their new version) with kick-stands, so they can be angled towards the sun, for around $340 for 2 panels - they have an offer as of now ($40 off) through Amazon - i simply ordered 1 panel twice - so in effect got $80 off the 2 panels. This is an incredible saving over the Jackery Panels and they are waterproof too ! Thanks Luke.

I purchased a Jackery 1000 AFTER I purchased a Jupiter 1500 watt inverter. When I saw all the wiring needed for the inverter, I changed my mind and got the Jack 1000. My thought was you’re still running off your truck battery. No worries now with the 1000.
I went camping and it was cold at night, I had brought an electric blanket and used it 3 nights on 4 setting! The next mornings I plugged in my 6 cup coffee maker no problem. Numerous charges on iPhones & iPad. Over the 3 days I never got below 50% power
So now that I’ve watched your video..... I’m gonna purchase a 12v fridge .... this is all your fault LoL
You’re right about this Jack 1000 best purchase I’ve made! This makes short camping trips VERY comfortable and you confirmed long overland trips as well.

Awesome review! I'm really excited about getting my Explorer 1000 with the 2 100W solar panels. I debated putting a 2nd battery in my 4Runner but cost for a good system is just as much as the solar setup and the Jackery has the added benefit of portability. With this solar plant, I can remove the weight from my truck when I don't need it. Can't do that with a secondary battery. Makes me feel good too knowing that I am harvesting solar energy rather than relying on fossil fuels. Sub'd.
