- Jackery 500 vs Jackery 1000
I thought I was getting an upgrade but I got more of a disappointment than anything.

If you press the display button for about 10 seconds it should reset itself and your readings will be corrected. I know you don't want to carry both of them but you should reconsider. During the winter months you could use the 1000 to charge the 500 if you happen to have cloudy days, this will extend the capacity of the 500 while using your diesel heater.. Also you could use the 500 to charge the 1000 and extend its capacity .. Basically you can extend the capacity of both batteries . I do it all the time.
I feel your frustration. My Bluetti won't run my Hcalory diesel heater. Trying to figure out what to do myself. Good luck bud.
With my Jackery Explorer 500 in order to extend the battery, I purchased a 100ah 12.8v 1280Wh LifeP04 battery that has a cycle life of 4000 for $329.00. I added a socket adapter that I plug the Jackery car charger adapter in to keep the Jackery 500 topped off with. I use a 200w portable solar panel and a Mppt charge controller for charging the battery and much cheaper than buying the Jackery 1000 with only a 4th of charge cycles…
I am so sick of my jackerys not charging and turning off with full charges (day or night) and then not charging. I also have their e2000 battery packs and they disconnect. Fix is to unplug everything, reset, and the setup from scratch. 10 or 15x a month. Jackery also tells you NOT to reset your units lol. Make up your f'n. I love how support never answers and email support takes 2 days and you have to send them videos of everything they tell you do to before they will help.
SO AMAZE LOVE IT
That’s the problem with most power stations first they have only 1 12v accessory plug and it Isn’t that powerful. They are all more directed at the 110ac side of things and not the 12 V camping over landing side of it. They need to wake up and make models that are more directed at 12 V power and accessories.
It's the glow plug that's killing your 1000 it draws a lot when it kicks in. It seems more sensitive to spikes
Whatever it is is sucks. I just use my 500 solely for the heater now and it works no problem.
30amp with 360w ac to dc should definitely work on 1000 jackery have same issue
Link I send u can buy from Amazon
Great testing video! Are you interested in headlight bulbs testing sponsorship?
You don't do headlights for jeep xj's
Where are you located? I would consider buying it since I don't use diesel heater!
I've decided to keep both of them. But Amazon is still running the sale on the 1000 I believe.
Has Jackery improved their batteries because last I knew their batteries only lasted 500 times at full charge before they drop below 80% and they drop down from that point.
That I'm not sure. I've heard that same thing. I haven't noticed any problems with battery in either of mine and I'm not the best at running them completely down before charging.
@@nextweeksadventure The new Jackery 1000 v.2 that was just released will charge 4000 times before they drop below 70%. It comes with a 1070WH LiFePO4 battery (1500W AC Output). It also has 1 hour super charging and 1.7 hour fast charging. Seems to be a significant improvement over the earlier version.
I see this complaint alot on overlanding USA on Facebook. Probably time for a serious 12v setup.
I am super happy with my 500 just wanted better charging and battery life. I've considered building out a bigger 12v setup but just can't do it. All that stuff is just super pricey and I don't have much space left.
@nextweeksadventure I hear ya on space hahaha. We have seats pulled and still need more room. Good comparison video man.
Read the manual ...
I did. Said it should work fine. Unfortunately I can't get the Jackery to agree with the manual.
@dab0yhdizzle can you share the link please thanks 🙏
