- Follow along as I make my second knitted beanie hat on the Sentro Knitting Loom using a drill attachment for maximum speed!
I've had my Sentro Knitting machine only for a few months and turning the crank by hand is so slow 😴. So I UPGRADED my Sentro knitting loom with a drill attachment that allows you to speed up your knitting loom projects.
My first go at making a winter beanie hat on the loom with a drill was a bit of a disaster but I did learn a lot from it...

140-150 rows works good, but it all depends on the yarn. Heartland yarn you can do one beanie from start to finish and I if I can remember it was 144 or 145 rows. I need to check my notes. Good luck with it next time.

@@catkemble you’re very welcome. I found my notes and it says 140 rows. I make them for the homeless shelters here in Texas. I use to knit and crochet, but my R. A has gotten really bad this past year. Happy sentro knitting.
"this beautiful yarn" proceeds to hold up the blandest color in the world lol just joking, great video! I just got one of these machines and am LOVING IT. I just learned about yarn dispensers thanks to your video, that will help a LOT as MOST of the time using the machine is spent pre-feeding out a bit of yarn from the ball, I learned very quickly that if there is even a small amount of tension before the tension guide it causes stress on the needles (clicking noise/stress) and forces many skipped loops or whatever they're called. in just this 5 min I learned exactly what I need to know to make my dreams of a massively over length scarf reality. Thanks for posting this tutorial :-)

The question is, how long did it take on the machine
It took under an hour 😊
Takes about 5 minutes to make a 150 row beanie with the drill. If you cast off and weave the tail through the loops while still on the machine it’s much faster and cleaner than how she did it. Makes a nice star shape on top but do be careful.. go too fast with the drill and you’ll melt the handle 😂
