Will it be a fail?!

@@CosyRosieCrochet The first thing I made was a hat for my grandmother.
I received an 'Knit Magic' for Christmas back in 1975(age 10). I loved the machine (I called it). I wasn't sure how to use it but the tubes came out self explanatory to Me (hats and scarves), later I thought about sguares (crochet or knitting together). I did already know how to crochet & knit.

I only got one white needle and no black needle on mine so I had to mark the ones on either side with a black marker. Also, I didn't get any circular knitting needles either. Love mine tho.
Good plan to mark one of the needle! How strange you didn't get all the bits and bobs! Have fun with your machine
I just received mine yesterday, I am the same as you, no circular knitting needle, and my marker is white too. Having a go at it now 😃😃
Hi Rosie, thanks for the video. I've seen this in Shein and wasn't sure how useful it would be. I crochet hats so apart from the speed I wasn't sure why I'd need it. The panels would be useful though like you mentioned. Can you make the circular knitted tube bigger or smaller or is it just 1 setting to that diameter? 😊
The speed is a big determining feature for many - but crochet hats work up so quickly. The circular tubes are just one size - there are brands that are available with a different number of needles such as the Addi machines.
I have put the tension thing on upside down and now can't get it off - ant tips?
Sorry for the late reply - hope you've figured it out. I think you just have to tug quite hard on it to remove it.
What do you do if you spot a skipped stitch 3 rows below??

Thank you Rosie, I have watched your video over and over again.... and am now trying my first beanie, with your video on play and pause. Not sure how it will turn out, but thanks to you, I have more of an idea. Not sure on how many rows to do, so I will wing it.

You can make panels and join them together to create lots of different projects - one of the first things I made was a cushion using 3 long tubes, sewn together and folded at the ends to create the cushion shape
I am really disappointed after listening to your comments at the end as this was the first video that came up. I am a crocheter, needle knitter and loom knitter and the loose fabric of the hat is due to operator error, NOT the fault of the machine. Imagine using a US J Hook with DK weight and see what kind of fabric you would get. Common sense should have told you to go with #3 Tight for DK Weight.
I'm not sure which of my comments you're referring too. This was the first time of setting up and using this machine and I gave my opinion - not a tutorial on how to set it up, not use the machine to it's best ability.

Im soo upset i was following this working hard and did what you dis before realising that makes them all drop and fall apart
I’m sorry for the confusion and no doubt frustration- it was just my playing around with the machine and not designed as a full tutorial.
